Lime Tree is situated high on a hill overlooking Buck Island and the Caribbean on the east end of St. Croix. It is tastefully designed and decorated and perfect for one or two couples. We spent time on the patio enjoying the ocean breezes, the view, a heated pool, and an outdoor dining area. Occasionally we ate in at night and the well-equipped kitchen and outdoor grill made it easy to prepare a meal. Comfortable beds, beach chairs and towels provided by the owner, good internet and cable connection, privacy and quietness helped make Lime Tree one of our best vacations ever. The owner and managers went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Nearby was one of our favorite restaurants, Duggan's Reef, but we also enjoyed meals in town at Galangals, Salud Bistro, Savants, and Christine's Cafe. Sunday brunch at the Beach Side Cafe in Fredericksted or eat at Cane Bay made for a delightful day. Beaches are beautiful and unspoiled. We hiked to Isaac Bay, kayaked the Salt River, and snorkeled at Cane Bay. Anyone wanting to spend time in St. Croix should consider Lime Tree at Villa Madeleine.

This is the perfect place for a romantic or honeymoon getaway. The pool and patio is completely private with gorgeous views of Buck Island and the sailboats coming and going from the Yacht Club. Villa has original artwork, beautiful teak and mahogany furnishings, flat-screen t.v.'s, well-equipped kitchen, and very clean. Bedrooms have comfy tempurpedic beds, french doors that open to the patio letting trade winds lull you to sleep. Very peaceful place. Anne provided top notch service, making sure all the details of our trip were in place! On island, Charles escorted us to Villa Madeleine and made sure we were all set to just kick back and enjoy!
