AustriaQuiet paradise in the middle of the town
Left on 10/05/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Villa Vilina is situated in Neve Zedek-an old part of Tel aviv.
I appreciated the central location, the beautiful apartment, the quietness of the green roof terrace--all in the middle of the town.
Mrs.Vilina was a very friendly and helpful host.
I would come back any time! -

My mom, children and brother all stayed here. The owner was very accommodating all our needs. A great value. And good area. I have nothing bad to say. Next time we go to Israel, we are staying there. (Now, I have to save up for my next ticket! Ha ha)

HoveWonderful holiday
Left on 06/05/2012 for a stay in May 2012
I really enjoyed staying at Villa Vilina. The flat had all the facilities I needed and the position is superb - easy walking distance to the sea in one direction and to Carmel Market and the shops in the other. Also, the area itself is fascinating and very pretty.
Booking was easy and communication with the owners unproblematic
I'm very much hoping I will be able to repeat the experience sometime in the near future! -

los gatosGreat Location
Left on 02/09/2012 for a stay in January 2012
I love feeling home away from home. I prefer vacation rentals over hotels. This place certainly feels more like a home. The building is very authentic and reflects Israel, the roof is awesome for hanging out and look at the view and smell the city.
The rooms are ok for the price, you mainly pay for the location. Everything is very clean and smells good in the house.
If I had stayed here for 1-2 nights I would probably go for 5 stars, since I stayed for longer I was disappointed that the owner wouldnt give me complimentary toilet paper, for example. She's very friendly and helpful but for the price I was paying I felt that was a little cheap and kind of left me with a bitter taste.
All in all, I recommend the place and I hope that after reading the review, the owner will have a little more awareness of customer service -

New YorkGreat find in Neve Tzedek!
Left on 05/13/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We had a wonderful stay here. The place is charming and Vero (the owner) was very helpful and accommodating. Newly renovated bathroom a big plus. Bright and sunny main room with a quiet back bedroom. The pull-out futon in the living room was quite hard - some people like this, some don't. We were 4 adults sharing the space, but it is ideal for a couple or 2 friends sharing the bedroom. The location is amazing - top of Shabazi, the main street in Neve Tzedek. Close to cafes, shopping, great wine bar, restaurants, etc. Hotels in this area are $300-400/night for less room and no kitchen, etc. A great spot!

New York CityExperience daily living in trendy Neve Tzedek
Left on 04/14/2011 for a stay in August 2010
We stayed in the rooftop studio apartment. The location was amazing--right in the center of Neve Tzedek with all the unique shops, restaurants and gelato stores. There is even an organic health food store. In spite of the trendiness of the neighborhood, it is quiet and down to earth. Our accommodations were perfect. We had a little kitchen for cooking. The bedroom/living area was in an old arab style building with a very high ceiling. It had a very relaxing feel to it and we slept very well. There was a cute little bathroom. There is a rooftop terrace to sit out on and look at the stars. The landlord lives next door and she was very helpful and hospitable. We were walking distance to Ulpan-Or, a private ulpan where we studied Hebrew for 2 weeks. We loved the whole experience, and we are making plans to return this summer!

LondonPerfect Location and most charming flat. Better than any hotel.
Left on 08/30/2010 for a stay in August 2010
My wife and I have stayed in this flat several times and we absolutely love it. It is perfect for a couple or a small family and can work for two couples if these are intimate. More of this later.
Location: perfect. It is bang in the middle of Neve Tzedek, on Shabazi, the most charming of Tel avivian streets. You are at a stone throw from excellent restaurants, funky bars, the beach, the market and Rotschild Blv. Could not be better. The flat is on the first floor and it can be a bit noisy first thing in the morning, especially if the works on the opposite building are still going on.
Flat: it has a great roof terrace with distant views of the sea, one bedroom, one sitting room (which can turn to a bedroom), kitchen and small bathroom. Perfect for a couple or family with one or two small children. The only awkwardness is having to walk through the bedroom to get to the other rooms (these are arranged in a line with the front door being into the bedroom).
The flat is bright, clean, decorated with nice furniture and it is tiled with original beautiful tiles.
Service: Vilina, the owner, is kind, efficient and reliable, a pleasure to deal with.
Overall: we love it, and it is always our first choice of place to stay in Tel aviv. We have stayed at Nina Cafe Suites, and, personally, we prefer it to that.

Victoria, BCPerfect place to stay in Tel aviv
Left on 08/19/2010 for a stay in June 2010
I stayed in both the one-bedroom apartment and the studio at Villa Vilina for three weeks. Both were fantastic! the one-bedroom has lots of light, windows and space and is comfortable and happy. The studio is cozy and also comfortable. Best of all, both open onto a rooftop terrace that looks over the rooftops of Neve Tzedek, which in itself is a fantastic location as it's close to the beaches and lots of great restaurants and cafes. Vilina is also a great host with lots of useful info. I really don't think you could beat Villa Vilina for location, price and charm.

Munich, GermanyNo Bauhaus, but a typical Neve Tsedek studio
Left on 07/23/2010 for a stay in June 2010
From outside you would not guess how tasteful the interior of the little studio is. If you also don't like international middle class hotel standards like wall to wall carpet this place is made for you. The location is not in the Bauhaus area but close to many hip bars, restaurants, cafés and nightlife spots in the southern TLV area and last but not least the owner is very helpful and friendly which is important because she lives next door.

Amsterdam, the NetherlandsA great alternative to a hotel !
Left on 07/15/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We stayed a week at one of the appartments of this building on Shabazi street in a very central and hip part of Tel aviv. Although not a luxus apaartment we really enjoyed the large space (we had a sleeping room, a living room and a kitchen), and the big roof terrace. Since the roof is rather exposed, a steady breeze from the nearby beach is always present- a pleasant relief from the summer heat. Although the bathroom is extremely small and not very comfortable, it is going to be rapired according to the owner. We really enjoyed this much more than a hotel !
We even spend a wonderful evening with a couple of friends on "our" root terrace- somethig you cannot do in a hotel room.
Highly recommended !!! -

New York, NYA quiet retreat in the middle of everything
Left on 05/20/2010 for a stay in May 2010
If you stay in one of the Villa Vilina Vacation Apartments you will have a quiet retreat right in the middle of everything. A well kept apartment awaits you with all amenities, a friendly and helpful host, and you can sit on the roof terrace and enjoy the sunset. You are 10 minutes in walking distance from the beach, 20-30 minutes to Yaffa, around the corner from the Rothchild Boulevard with the famous Bauhaus architecture, and minutes from Albeny Street where you can catch a bus to the train or central station to travel around the country. Last but not least, Neve Tzedek has lots of nice cafes, restaurants, bakeries and wine bars to enjoy, and shops to browse.

BerlinVery friendly place, top location to explore Tel Aviv
Left on 04/26/2010 for a stay in January 2010
I have stayed at the rooftop apartment a week in January 2010 - has been an excellent
alternative compared to hotels in Tel Aviv. Value for money is very good. In a nutshell:
- central and tasteful place with a lot of facilities in the area (from shopping, cafes, art & culture)
- and Neve Tzedek where the accomodation is located is a special area in Tel Aviv which should not be missed, especially if you come to Tel Aviv for the first time.
- if you need a car there is a parking place nearby (which is quite hard to find in Tel Aviv...) which offers a weekly tariff; also, what has been important to me, the Internet connection
in the room has been working fine.
The rooms are spacious and clean, its a 5 minutes walk to the beach. Although central, and close to noisy streets, it is a quiet place.
Ask the owner about the history of the building, show knows are a lot of interesting stories to tell. Dont expect a perfect infrastructure, Neve Tzedek it is an area with historic buildings.
I have found the The Rooftop Studio in the same building a very good choice, too.
The owner offers an excellent service, if there is any question she helps and replies quickly; I have felt at home after a short time.
Take your time and explore the surroundings walking, a truly cosmopolitan experience
in the Middle East.
In summary, a great and convenient place which is my choice again for my next visit to Tel Aviv. -

Berne, SwitzerlandCharming!
Left on 03/19/2010 for a stay in February 2010
We spent three weeks in this apartment in Neve Tsedek in February 2010 and had a great time. Two spacious and nice rooms, plus a very nice Art-Noveau tiled floor. And a sunny terrace. Plus, Vilina, the land-lady is very nice and easygoing, too. The only question is: When will we have the chance to get back there?

Berlin, GermanyVery well located flat for discovering Tel Aviv
Left on 01/25/2010 for a stay in December 2009
We stayed in this apartment for a week over Christmas 2009. The owner was
very helpful, even staying up to let us in when we arrived at 1am in the
morning. The flat is very well located for discovering Tel Aviv, particularly the
more trendy and studenty areas. This is definitely a flat for a couple or for
people who know each other very well, as the bathroom goes off the kitchen
and the kitchen is a through room to the bedroom/sitting room. In addition
the door to the bathroom doesn't shut very securely. The flat itself is small,
maybe in total 40 square meters. We found it a great place to stay and enjoyed
the holiday immensely. -
