AmsterdamVery nice apartment
Left on 09/17/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Nick and Joseph were very professional and helpful with this rental. The apartment is very nice and comfortable for at least three adults and two small children. The beds were a bit hard, but other than that, it was a nice rental option in a great location in TLV.

Andover, MALocation and condition of the condo were perfect
Left on 04/18/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We were met promptly at the condo and were given good instructions about how the appliances worked. We liked that everything was new and that the condo was immaculate and beautiful. There were no hidden charges or complicated rules and when we left early in the morning, our adult children were able to check out for us. The condo was within easy walking distance of the beach and fun places to eat and catch a cab when we needed one. I have already recommended you to friends and family who may to visiting Tel aviv in the future.

New York, NYPleasant apartment with some problems
Left on 01/20/2012 for a stay in January 2012
This is a pleasant and nicely-furnished apartment in a wonderful, central part of Tel aviv. The beds are comfortable, and there are two very nice flat-panel TVs. There's an open, appealing feeling to this fairly quiet apartment. However, there were numerous problems that marred our stay (I was traveling with my adult son) and I cannot recommend this rental. The apartment itself had several problems and we had difficulties dealing with the manager.
The problems with the apartment included: 1) the sliding door to the balcony could not be closed all the way, so some noise came in from the street; 2) the electricity to the unit was insufficient, so that heaters, water heater, and appliances could not be used at the same time, and the power went out numerous times (7X or so); thankfully, the fuses were in the apartment, so it was not difficult to get the power back on in the dark; 3) the washing machine and dryer do not work properly. (The spin cycle on the washing machine didn't work, and the dryer took many hours to dry clothes.)
More difficult than any of those issues, which we understood and were able to accommodate without too much trouble, was the unfortunate experience we had with arranging the rental and dealing with problems during our stay. Although Nick Sharbi was nice and appealing in the email exchanges I had with him, he sent his partner to deal with the issues, and he was unpleasant to deal with. First, the address for a different apartment was written on the contract--which I only caught at the last minute. An innocent mistake and rectified, but it was scary. Second, in an email ahead of our arrival, Nick overstated the balance due. (Also an innocent mistake, so not a big deal.) Third, and more of a problem, there's is an unclear and confusing sentence in the contract re whether a security deposit was required. It turns out they require a $500 deposit. I would be wary of paying that, since at the end, Joseph tried to hold us responsible for a problem that preexisted our rental (the mat in the bathroom, laid over rocks--attractive, but not too functional--was raised up and apparently broken when we arrived). Finally, it was frustrating that Joseph consistently denied that there were any problems at all with the apartment, including those listed earlier, although both my adult son and I witnessed all of them. On the plus side, Nick and Joseph were quick to replace a key that I managed to lose (although it cost $40--apparently the card they needed to make a cheap replacement was in Paris, presumably with the owner). Joseph was available for check in (indeed he had to wait for us, since we encountered heavy rain driving from Haifa) and was there for check out as expected.
I cannot endorse this apartment, although it is quite nice as a place to be, and the neighborhood is one of the best. Although we are careful renters, we encountered too many unexpected and unpleasant experiences here, despite the attractiveness and comfort of the apartment. -
