We arrived after the office was closed and had a little trouble finding out unit. Our first impression was that it had not been cleaned adequately because the carpet had several bad stains on it near the staircase and kitchen. In 3 rooms the curtains were not operable or were kind of a flimsy plastic.
The furniture in the living room was very uncomfortable and since the carpet was stained we could only imagine what had been ground into the sofas.
There were at least 10 thermostats and they did not seem to work.
Overall it was so very disappointing. Read more
We are so sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay or the unit. We have been working with the owner with trying to get the curtains repaired and this will be happening this off season. We really appreciate your feedback. We hope to impress you the next time you come in to town.
Terrible in #12. Great in #10

#12 is like living in a slum. The furniture was like cheap thrift store stuff. The bar chairs wiggled and were stained. The couch had no springs and was small seating for 7 people. There was loud construction right next to us. The bunk beds were not safe. There was no furniture on the rooftop.
We moved to #10 on the third day and it was totally opposite to 12 even though the price and rating were the same. The arrangment was great with a nice large couch, the upper deck had furniture and a grill which we enjoyed again opposite to#12. The views were beautiful in #10. They were so welcoming with games and books and cable TV with DVR. #12 had a tiny flat screen and a big old tV with VCR. Everything in #12 was outdated including the refrigerator. I don't think the owners have any pride in #12 and you risk your reputation by renting it out as a nice place. I really felt we should have received a discount for staying in #12. I wanted to give my family a great family vacation #12 was not it!!! #10 was exactly what I had in mind.
I would discourage anyone from renting #12 and encourage a friend to rent #10. Thank goodness we had the ability to switch even though we had to stay in 12 for two days.
If I return, it will be to #10. Read more
Thank you for your review. We will pass this information onto the homeowner. Some seating has been added to the rooftop deck and we did take care of the bunk beds. We apologize that you did not enjoy your lodging experience there however it seems like you were able to find better accomodations.
We look forward to booking your next stay in Telluride.

GhostRider 12 is nicely laid out to accommodate a group of 8 friends wanting to spend a week together. The open space kitchen/living/dining worked well. We would give the condo much higher marks if it had been in the state we left it, when we arrived. Three or four of the dining room chairs needed repairs, the kitchen knives couldn't cut a chunk of soft butter, not enough cutlery to set a table for 8, broken lamp in the dining room, no broom or bathroom brushes for us to clean up after ourselves, etc. That said, the management and maintenance staff were prompt and friendly in dealing with our requests once they were brought to their attention. We are also in the vacation rental business, and know that Telluride can ask a lot for not much, but we did expect a better stocked kitchen for a 4 bedroom/3 bathroom unit in which renters can be expected to be doing a lot of cooking and eating in. And we were rather surprised with the plainness of the furnishings and decorations. That said, we greatly enjoyed the many windows and bright light coming through from the loft area, and could imagine that deck to be glorious in the summer. The common area hot tub was appreciated after a day of skiing, and the mid-week maid service was a welcomed surprise.

A basic condo for style/look/furniture, 2 of the rooms are a bit smaller than expected. Location is perfect to walk to town and gondola, and liquor & grocery stores. Although stairs only, they were wide to get gear up/down. Didn't use the rooftop deck, but hot tub was used daily and worked good for all - holds about 6 & is above ground type. Dining room, kitchen, living room made up for smaller bedrooms.
Would stay again. We see condo as place to sleep and store gear cause we ski and go out at night. Plenty of room to cook/serve there. Read more

The condo is basically sound, but needs some attention. The bunk bed (wobbles), couch, some of the chairs, queen mattress in the "bunk bed" bedroom, and window coverings need repair or replacement. The location is great, only a block or so from the gondola and very near stores and restaurants. Read more

We were dissappointed in the appearance of the condo. The window treatments were all in disrepair. The carpet was disgusting. I don't think it had been cleaned in years. Read more

Unit #12 is in a great location but hasn't been upgraded since the 70's. The unit can use a lot of tlc. Please start with new blinds on the windows and bring back a king bed in the master. Read more

Had an enjoyable time at Ghostriders in "Downtown" Telluride. The view from the living room window is continuously awesome EVERYDAY! The location in town is GREAT the car remained parked as we walked or rode the gondola (Free). The kitchen has most utensils and nice dish sets. The sofa bed is not very sleep-worthy,but the condo is very comfortable with a variety of sleeping options.
This was our second visit to #12 and we'll be back next year. Read more
