Excellent place for a couple, might be a little tight for four adults though.
Place was clean and in an excellent location, minute walk from gondola to city and lift to the slopes. Highly recommended.Response from Telluride Alpine Lodging - 04/10/2013

Teec Nos Pos, AZgood location
Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in February 2013
It's a great location, very convenient, right above Boot Doctors. Two things that make me dock it down to 2 stars- 1. The place was dusty. Dust in the drawers, dust on the side table, etc. Not cool. 2. The place was loud- I'm not sure what the noise was but at times the whole place was shaking. It felt like there was an engine room right next door. We could not make out what was causing the noise and the shaking. Also, the kitchen is furnished, but there was no wine opener. We needed one.

Thank you for taking the time review Le Chamonix B,
We apologize for the cleanliness of the unit and have alerted the housekeeping supervisor. Our maintenance team investigated the loud shaking noise, and unfortunately did not experience what you described. However, this is noted and we will continue to monitor this issue. We have purchased a new wine opener. For the future, please do not hesitate to contact our guest service agent and they will promptly get you items like a wine opener during your stay.
We hope to see you on your next vacation to Telluride.

Rio Rancho, NMGreat stay, but check in process needs improvement!
Left on 07/20/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Great room and location. However, upon completion of our agreement Express Document, we never received arrival instructions explaining how to gain access to our room. The check in process states, "... we will send you your detailed arrival instructions for your vacation rental property." We ultimately had to call alpine Lodging. We were told to stop by their office to pick up our instructions. As such, their service was prompt and friendly when we spoke to them in person.
This incident is the second time this has occurred. In fact, we almost had to cancel our trip not knowing how to gain access to our room.
We, once again, encourage alpine Lodging's management to review their check in process and improve it!Response from Telluride Alpine Lodging - 07/31/2012
Manager
We definitely appreciate your feedback and are currently analyzing the success (or lack thereof) of the on-line registration procedure. We are confident that we will be able to streamline our processes and alleviate any future guest stress.

Boulder, COSuch a bummer - Not what we expected
Left on 07/07/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This was definitely not what we expected for the $250/night cost. The bed was very uncomfortable, there was little ventilation, the white towels all had old stains on them (you can tell by the yellow from being bleached), the fan was so dusty that my husband and I both had nasty allergies, and to top it off there's no rule against bringing dogs so the 3 dogs in Unit F barking for hours on end all day and night was enough to push us over the top. Very sad. Not to mention no staff called us back when we needed assistance. Good thing there was The Peaks Hotel nearby... The peaks hotel was truly amazing!!!
Response from Telluride Alpine Lodging - 07/13/2012
Manager
I apologize for your stay. It sounds very unpleasant. I will be sure to speak to housekeeping and find out why the towels had stains on them. This is unacceptable. We hope your next stay in Telluride is a pleasant one.

ScottsdaleWe enjoyed our stay
Left on 12/30/2011 for a stay in December 2011
The Mountain Village location was perfect for us since it was so close to the ski lifts. Yet, it is tucked in and very quiet. The studio is very comfortable and we loved having the fireplace. The kitchen was very well equipped for anything we wanted to cook. It even has a dishwasher. There is enough storage room in closets and drawers for all of our ski gear. But, there is no view from the windows at all and blinds have to be kept closed for privacy as the windows look out on the walkway used for all the other units.
Our main problem was finding the unit when we arrived. The directions we were given were vague and seemed to be written by someone who had never had to find the place. The parking lot for unloading our car was a sheet of ice and it was a long way from the unit when carrying all the ski equipment. The door to the unit is hidden in a dark corner and since we arrived late in the afternoon the outside lights were not on and the daylight was not enough to illuminate the keypad. The people in the next unit brought out a flashlight. Once in the unit we found the fireplace pilot light was out. It took until 5 pm the next day to get a repairman there. Once that was resolved we enjoyed our stay.Response from Telluride Alpine Lodging - 04/20/2012
Manager
Thank you for your review. We apologize for the beginning of your trip. We recently had our staff take another tour of the unit and made changes to the online directions. We hope the next time you come into town, this issue is resolved. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay otherwise.

Monument, COMost Relaxing Fun We've Had all Year
Left on 07/21/2010 for a stay in May 2010
My wife, son and I traveled to Telluride for a weekend get-away, and we were not disappointed at all. From the time we checked in until we departed we found the service to be warm, friendly and helpful. The staff was polite and knowledgeable and provided us information from suggested dinning establishments and local activity planning assistance, to town history, permanent housing and job availability.
The house at La Chamonix was well outfitted, very comfortable and extremely well located in the center of Mountain Village with easy access to the Gondolas, shopping and dinning.
With an almost endless variety of things to do, Telluride and Mountain Village are a great place to get away for a weekend of a month. Our many thanks to the staff of Telluride alpine Lodging for helping to make this the most relaxing weekend our family has had all year. We can't wait to come back and see you all again!Response from Telluride Alpine Lodging - 07/26/2010

Our trip started out a litlle Rocky on Account of our flight from Denver to Tellueride got cancelled the afternoon of 3/14/10. We actually flew to Durango and drove (probably shouldn't have) but did forewarn the Group at the office that we would be arriving late. Drove into town to your office and got in the lockbox. noticed that everyone else due to arrive that day were Still not there. Lots of envelopes in the lock box. Finally made it to Palmayra 4E after considerable searching. You need to tell those people in Mountain village that a 20 watt bulb is not enough for a street light.
Palmyra 4E as I had originally understood was a 1 bedroom with a pull out couch. My son was a little diappointed when this proved not to be the case. Anyway, a call to Chantal on Monday and she immediately rectified the situation by transferring us to La Chamonix #B. Small but functional and extremely to everything in Mountain Village. The location was fantastic but will probably opt for a bigger unit the next trip. If the traveling group was a small family and didn't mind close quarters this may be ideal but a couple of grown men or more in that genre and the situation may get a little sporty!. Thanks for helping us through a rather tough start to the week but Chantal was most helpful and the people at your place of business are great, helpful and professional and do take care of the customer!Response from Telluride Alpine Lodging - 03/26/2010

Wow, it does sound like you had a Rocky start to your trip. I am so pleased to hear that Chantel was able find a condo that was a better fit once you arrived!

TAL did not tell me the parking is about 2 blocks from the unit. Also, there is no close access to unload suticases. This would not have been too inconvenient except the first 30 feet were solid mud. The unit is very small and you can barely shut the bathroom door around the toilet.
Response from Telluride Alpine Lodging - 03/26/2010
Manager
Thank you for taking the time to review Le Chamonix B. Le Chamonix has access for unloading luggage less than a block from the building. We must have been having a warm snap if you ran into mud. Sorry about the timing on that. Parking is provided in the Heritage parking garage that is heated and about two blocks from the condo. The B unit is a studio condo, but a great value for its location.

Left on 02/25/2010 for a stay in February 2010
Telluride Alpine Lodging was very very helpful and accommodating in arranging for me to stay at this lodging. The studio apartment is well located because you can walk to Lift 4 and the facilities of the Mountain Village. A downer is that the apt. does not have good lighting both inside and out. There's no view, just mostly other parts of the building. A light by the outside door very much needs to be fixed! There is no light by the couch so you can not sit there and read. Also there was a smell near the stove. Could be that the disposal had food in it. Kitchen was well equiped.

I needed to change the dates of the reservation, which was for 2 beds. Upon
arrival, the agent at check-in saw only 1 bed. She worked very hard to find a
place with 2 beds. Thank you. Le Chamonix B was very close the lifts and
Gondola at Mountain Village. The sleeping arrangements worked well for me
and my friend.
