The condo was very nice with a great view. It had everything we needed for our week stay. We only had a couple complaints. The parking was very challenging. The parking slot was very narrow and very difficult to hit upon entering the garage. All the passengers and anything in the front seats had to be out of the vehicle before it was parked and then the driver needed to be a contortionist in order to exit the vehicle once it was parked. The entire week we were there, only one other person was parked in the garage and they were right next to our spot and on the line. Better directions to the condo should be provided for the renters. At least provide a street address in case they need to request directions. It took us over an n hour to find the place and that was after asking directions three times. All we were provided was that it was in the Granita Building. The words Granita Building are located in one small spot on the building which does not face the street. The mattress in the smaller bedroom was very uncomfortable. Also, it would be nice if a small amount of clothing detergent would be provided.
Telluride Townie Wanna Be
Fantastic Ski Trip!

We visited Telluride for the first time on this trip, so we were "flying blind" when it came to picking a place to stay. We wound up choosing the Granita based on the location, the flattering pictures of the unit, and the bedding/accommodations. We were traveling with another couple, so it was important for us to have a unit where neither couple felt they drew the "short straw." Granita 301 lived up the photos. The unit was in very good condition and the kitchen was well-equipped. Staying at mid-mountain was very nice. We had about a 50-meter walk to where we could click into our bindings and glide down to Chair 4. Three out of the four people in our party said they were bothered by the altitude when sleeping at night. One nice thing about staying at mid-mountain is that the lower half of the mountain can be a little icy and/or challenging in spots, so it's nice to be able to finish your day on skis rather than having to take the gondola down.
With respect to the Granita 301, I would stay there again. We had no issue with the unit and found it very comfortable. The TVs could have been a little bigger, but you're not really going there to watch TV. The only problem we had was that the lock on our ski locker in the lobby was broken when we arrived, but we were able to fix it ourselves. I'm sure if we had called the property manager, they would have taken care of it. Another observation is that it seemed like we were one of the few renters at the Granita property. It seemed like more people who were staying there were connected to the actual owners. I think that also helps keep the property in good condition.
The rationale for the two "average" ratings below are: (1) I would not give it a higher mark for "value" only because it was a little pricey; and (2) I can only give it an average rating for "service" because we didn't really utilize any "services" at the property. Nonetheless, we'd definitely stay there again!
The Sea Ranch, CA
An exceptional condo in an exceptional building and location.

We have been renting Granita 301 for several years. It is recently upgraded and exceptionally well equipped, with underground parking, elevator and great support from Telluride Mountain Lodging. The location is truly ski-in, ski-out and the views of the mountain are superb. Separated bedrooms with en-suite baths make this perfect for 2 couples. There is nothing we dislike about this home; and, when we have a suggestion (eg. salad bowl) after renting, the owners are quick and happy to respond. We are pleased to be returning in 2014.
