The Wilson Peak Retreat is a three-story Glass House with spectacular views of our "fourteener," 14,017 ft. Wilson Peak -- the mountain on the Coors ® can! This Telluride luxury vacation rental was recently featured in a photo article highlighting glass houses in Telluride Magazine, on the stands throughout the 2011-12 ski season.

Telluride's iconic Wilson Peak is the most photographed mountain in Colorado -- and yours to enjoy throughout your stay -- inside or out, at the Retreat. Through vast expanses of Window Walls, this diamond-shaped Mountain Modern home connects you with the beautiful views, and the beautiful grounds, surroun...ding the residence.

The Retreat was designed by one of Telluride's leading solar architects, and features a Great Room with 35 ft. ceilings, and unusually open loft-style interiors offering a "Flexible Floorplan of Movable Walls." You've never seen anything quite like it! What a great place to gather with family or friends for your next mountain getaway!

The Spa Bath on the mezzanine level features a family-sized sauna, and an oversized double steam shower and soaking tub made entirely of tumbled marble travertine in reds and rusts.

There are two Master Suites, one on the mezzanine level, and an upper Master Suite encompassing the entire top floor. The upper Master features a huge Jacuzzi® tub, perfect for a couple, or the whole family if you like, with wonderful views of the beautiful grounds surrounding the Retreat residence.

A Media Room on the main floor features a Sony® hi-def flatscreen TV, with a full array Dish TV® satellite system and surround sound with commercial-free music channels, all the premium channels, plus news, sports, etc. -- totally unlike anything you'll find in a hotel, including 3 network feeds for East Coast, West Coast, and Denver. The Dish TV® system also features a dual DVR, so you can record your favorite shows while out enjoying everything Telluride has to offer!

There's a formal dining room with a huge wooden dining room table and eight chairs from Anteks® in Dallas -- perfect for family or friends to gather together and enjoy a meal together prepared in the gourmet kitchen, which features two temperature-controlled pantries: the butler's pantry with wine storage, and a food pantry featuring a 2nd fridge. The dining room features its own genuine woodburning fireplace and woodstove, and we supply all the firewood!

All the lighting is on dimmers and timers, so you can set the mood for the evening.

All four generously-sized bedrooms have beautiful views, with two master suites with full baths en suite. Down comforters, feather and down pillows, Pendleton® blankets, spa robes, spa quality toiletries -- we're going to pamper you!

A huge heart redwood deck wraps the whole building, with high-end Caluco® outdoor lounge furniture w/6" cushions. An upper terrace of flagstone features a huge outdoor dining table with six matching chairs, and WiFi coverage so you can enjoy a meal "al fresco," or perhaps a breakfast while you browse your emails. During non-winter months, thousands of aspen trees offer natural shade wherever you need it.

Finally, our See Forever Cottage (also listed here on FlipKey) is located within the same private compound, but on a separate road, high on the hillside above the Retreat residence. These two luxury vacation rentals can be booked separately, or together. They offer complete privacy between them, and from other upscale homes on acreage in the area.

The setting is a 400 acre protected aspen forest lying directly adjacent to Telluride's Mountain Village -- the center of our Ski and Golf operations, and where you'll connect with Telluride's free gondola system. The Retreat property is less than 5 minutes by car from the new Town Hall Plaza in the adjacent Mtn Village area.

The Wilson Peak Retreat is located in the Telluride Ski Ranches, a 400 acre protected aspen forest directly adjacent to Telluride's Mountain Village, and the center of our ski and golf operations. This is up on Telluride's ski mountain, less than 5 minutes from the ski slopes, and Telluride's free gondola system. Views, trees, and privacy, and all with superb close-in access to everything worth doing in Telluride!

  We found this very special property in Telluride Magazine, where it was featured in an article about glass houses.
  We had great fun staying at the Wilson Peak Retreat with two families sharing the house. This high-end custom home has a huge Great Room, with a big, open country kitchen, allowing all of us to work together on meals. There are two pantries, with temperature-controlled wine storage, with a second fridge.
  We loved the expansive walls of windows that connected us to Wilson Peak, and the beautiful grounds surrounding the house. In coves off the Great Room, there is a main seating area near the fireplace, and a Media Room with a large HD flat-screen TV, surround sound, Blu-Ray with streaming video, and a dual DVR system. A formal dining room features its own woodstove with ample firewood.
  We made good use of the two master suites, and we loved the Spa Bath, which had a family-sized sauna and a huge steam shower. In the upper master, there is an oversized jetted soaking tub, big enough for six. There were beautiful views from every room in the house.
