We enjoyed staying in your home - the living areas were large and open which allowed for multiple families and friends to move around with ease. The home furnishings were clean and well taken care of.
The concierge service was very prompt in responding to several issues with kitchen equipment and the hot tub as well as our needs for extra towels. If they had not responded so quickly and positively I would definitely not have rated the house with 3 stars, since for that much money I would expect everything to be working.
The skiing was truly ski in and out, which was very nice - and the organization of the home was great for taking off gear, etc.
The master bedroom is amazing, but the other bedrooms were much smaller and not as comfortable for couples having to share bathrooms. One room in particular seemed to have a double bed when it had said queen.
Also knowing that you will have large groups stay there, it might have been nice to have an extra refrigerator in the garage. We had a lot of food, and in the summer would not have been able to keep the drinks cold outside. The grill needs to be cleaned and checked out.
I am being picky with my review because I know that is helpful- but these small issues did not diminish the fun times and memories we now have from staying at your home.

Perfect Location for a Large Group!!

We stayed at the Yellow Brick Road Palace in august of 2013. We had 18 friends visit Telluride from SLC for our friends' wedding, and this house was absolutely perfect. Everything was clean, the open kitchen/living room was perfect for hosting, and the large deck and views of Telluride were amazing!! Everything in the house worked great including the hot tub and sauna. We had 6 couples, and the 2 futons in the basement worked out fine, but I would say that the house is better for 5 couples. One of the futons in the basement room is pretty small for 2 people. That would be our only petty suggestion. The location could not be beat; just a 5 minute walk to the gondola, restaurants, grocery/liquor store, and the local bars. Once you settle in the house, you should not need your car for the entire stay. Great place... we will be back!!! :) Read more

Staying here allowed us to reunion as a family...joy and fun rad

Twelve of our family stayed here. It was perfect for this. Only breakfast was cooked here and hors d'oeuvres plus cocktails. The home and those assisting the rental were most helpful. We actually hardly used the house because we had many activities in Telluride and the surrounding area, but it was wonderful to be able to stay on one place.
Only criticism ...needed more cleaning materials and we would have kept counters and floors cleaner. Also a later check-out would make it so we could enjoy the morning. After an evening out to have to pack and be out at 10 was way too early. Lingering over coffee and conversation would have made me/us feel like we actually had two nights there.

We had three generations staying at Yellow Brick Road Palace and it could not have been more perfect for our family. The proximity to Mountain Village was an excellent location for everyone to do things together as well as for each of us to do our own thing. We loved the house and all the amenities--the views, the hot tub, the rooms, the kitchen--even the pool table added to our fun. We have been on several "all family" vacations and we are seriously thinking of adding a stay at Ybrp a yearly event. Thanks for the memories!! Read more

Our family had a great time at the Yellow Brick Road Palace! We had 7 adults, and 5 children ages 6-10. There was plenty of room! The kitchen, great room combo was the most used space. We all enjoyed the game room and hot tub too. Walking distance to skiing, grocery and gondola. The service was great! We had a problem with water pressure in the kitchen sink. They were out the next morning and fixed it. My least favorite thing was not being able to ski out the door. Although we did find a downhill pathway from one of the slopes that ended right by the cabin. Some of our favorite things about the house were the views, windows, balconies, and fireplaces! We loved it! Read more

We love receiving feedback like this from our guests! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences after your stay. I am happy to report that the necessary repairs were made to the kitchen faucet so no more issues there. And I regret the ski access was not more thoroughly described to you. There is a groomed path that leads from the Village Bypass ski trail The trail is labeled LONG'S CABIN and it takes you directly to the Brick Palace's back door. It sounds like you probably located this from your review. To return to the ski trail you go out the back door, click into your skis, go down on the west side of the home, cross the cul-de-sac in front of the house and return on the clear path to the Village Bypass ski trail. We are looking forward to hosting you in Telluride again soon!

Beautiful Country and a Great Time

We had a very nice stay at 125 Yellow Brick Road Palace. The house more than filled our need for space and dining, games and conversation for our group of 5 couples. We really enjoyed the close access to the Gondola to take us over to Telluride and what views. Everything was as they said it would be, other than the wireless internet that was supposed to be available, it was not. We would recommend this place and might even find our way back to this beautiful country again. Read more

Poor accomodations for such an expensive place

We were all looking forward to staying at this residence based upon the pictures provided on the website. How disappointed we were when we arrived and discovered that there was no hot water available, the microwave(s) didn't work, and the sauna was not operational. While the rental company was understanding and tried to help, there was nothing they could do over the weekend we stayed there. We did receive a refund of 40% but the offer to move to another location was
not convenient. We all were very disappointed!! Read more

We appreciate you taking the time to post your thoughts. Again, we deeply regret the unfortunate timing of the hot water debacle. You and your group were very understanding to us and we thank you for that. It is our hope that you will join us again in the near future and give us another opportunity to provide you with stellar accommodations and a hassle-free holiday. My Guest Services Manager will be contacting you soon.
The owner of the Yellow Brick Palace has already taken the necessary steps to ensure that all of these issues are addressed and never repeated.

We recently stayed at the Yellow Brick Rd Palace and have nothing but great things to say about it. The style and look of the home is very upscale. We spent 5 nights and found the accomadations very comfortable and clean. Compared to other homes of the same size, the price was very reasonable. It is on a private road of about half dozen homes about a 5 minute walk from the mountain village which was convenient. We made it a ski in/ ski out home though it is not easy (beginners should not try it- down a steep hill between homes and in the woods) The views of the village and the surrounding mtns were great. The outdoor hot tub was great after a day of skiing. The only complaint is that the oven didnt work but it was fixed that day. The fireplace in the main room was also not working.
We are a group of 40ish professionals who have gone on an annual ski trip (Vail, Jackson Hole, Utah, Whistler etc) for 20+ years, and I think the general consensus was this was one of the best places we have ever stayed at. Read more

Our stay was definitely first rate. TAL provided great service and even helped
pick the house for us. The home fit our needs perfectly and was easy to get in
and out of. The location on mountain was nice and made it easy to get to
mountain village in the morning and to get back home at the end of the day.
Our children especially liked the lower level game room. The adults also liked
having the children down stairs and busy playing. Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yellow Brick road Palace. It was spacious and had lots of amenities.
The only area that could use improvement would be the landscape around the house. There were many weeds around the house and in the flower beds. This took away from the outside appeal.
We loved the steam shower in the Master Bath and the kitchen was well-stocked.
We will stay here again.

We rented this house because we thought it would have a bit of everything for everyone- Ski-in/Ski-out for the fanatics, convenient access to Mountain Village and the Gondula for the non-skiers, enough space so each could find his/her own privacy, romping room and adventure for the kiddies, you name it. The house and location didn?t let us down. Even the gourmets were satisfied with the spacious and well equipped kitchen. Feeding large groups easily and regularly, and having fun doing so, was one of our top priorities. The layout and furnishings/cookware/etc. were ideal for this. Only one downside - the wash machine broke and it took a while to fix. It was replaced, so hopefully that won?t be a future issue. All in all, we had a fantastic time, even the most finicky of our group were pleased, and we?re all talking about coming back next year! Read more
