Mountainside Inn is a great value and a nice place. It is now my favorite hotel in Telluride because of the location and the price. The people that work there are very nice and the have great organic coffee available. Normally I have a nice stay, but this time the room wasn't as good. I usually have a room with a bigger bed, a fridge, and a TV that works well. I will be back and will give it 4 or 5 stars on my next visit just like I did on other visits. I often stay only one night there and at the last minute even. Read more

Thank you for the review. We are disappointed your stay wasn't as good this time around. Had you mentioned this when you were here for the 2 days in September, perhaps we could have addressed the issues at that time. We encourage you to speak up when you come and appreciate that you are a repeat guest. As a side note, we are preparing to replace the existing TV's in the units with new flat screens at the end of this month. We are also replacing the bathroom flooring with new subflooring and tiles.

Walking distance to town is easy. We have two dogs and there is an amazing trail along the river directly next to the hotel. Nice people. Only drawback is a 4pm check-in and a 10am check-out, which isn't the best. Good prices in summer. Read more

Thank you for your review of the Mountainside Inn. Check in is at 4pm, but if the room is ready before that we can always do an early check in. The same thing goes for the 10am check out. We can give our guests an extra hour if it doesn't interfere with housekeeping. We hope that you stay with us again in the future.

During our vacation in Telluride, we were faced with a change of accommodation. Mountainside inn was our choice. Very good rates and easy telephone booking service. Location was perfect with regards to the lifts up the mountain.. Great quality ski/stay experience for two young guys :).Very happy as a whole with Mountainside Inn. Read more

We love the town of Telluride, and liked the fact that we could walk to town from the Inn. The room was very comfortable and clean, and we loved the brook behind the Inn. The only problem would be the fact that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. For that reason, I would not like to visit in the summer months. Read more

So glad you enjoyed your stay in Telluride and the Mountainside Inn.
Our location is one of the best in town summer or winter.
Air conditioning in Telluride is practically non existent. Our evenings are so very cool, lows in the 40's and 50's that air conditiong is not needed.
We hope that doesn't hamper a summer visit to Telluride.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities, even though somewhat dated, were nice, very clean, and an excellent value. The only complaint would be the actual bed itself; it was very uncomfortable. It was a king made out of two twin beds and it did not provide a very restful nights sleep. That alone unfortunately would cause us to choose different accommodations in the future. Read more

Mountainside Inn is the most affordable lodging in Telluride with the best location summer or winter. Close to chair lifts, dining, shopping and hiking.
Come back and see us soon.

This was a nice location in Telluride at the edge of town. The Inn is old and does not look like it has had many updates recently. It looks like it would be good for skiers. We enjoyed the room and had a nice view of the stream nearby. It was within walking distance of shopping and restaurants as well as the Gondola. The price was good for the area. We enjoyed the friendly dogs that were lying in the lobby area. It is not a hotel / motel; they do not do room service unless you pay extra. We were looking for a place to stay to see the mountains and it did provide that. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was very friendly. One concern was when we were leaving, there was an inspector there and he did fail them on a number of items like the exterior doors opening in instead of out, the gates not high enough around the hot tub and the hot water temperature for the rooms being too high. I am sure they will correct these before the season starts. All in all, it is a nice place. Read more

Thank you for your feedback. Since Telluride is an alpine climate with very short summers and cool nights, you will find that very few homes and properties are airconditioned in this town. In an effort to do our part in staying green, we do not offer daily housekeeping unless requested. By not cleaning every room every day we are able to save energy and water. We do offer midweek cleans which means if you arrived on a Saturday, your room would be cleaned on Monday. We are sorry that our accomodations did not meet your expectations, Telluride Alpine Lodging does offer properties all over town ranging from the most affordable (Mountainside Inn) to Platinum rated condos and homes. We hope that when you return to Telluride you will let us find the best match for you! Thanks again for your review, and we look forward to your return to Telluride.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on your stay here. You are right, it gets pretty muddy and the roads are always in terrible shape after a snowy icy winter. It's pretty much an endless battle trying to keep the roads in good condition. It's great to hear your stay here was a good one. Come visit us again this summer!

We stayed in the Mountainside Inn. Spartan, but easy location for us. Our daughter is a ski patrolman, and this is great access to locker room, lift 7 and the Lizzard Lounge. I is also one block from her condo up by the Visitor Information Center. Hot tub was needing the water changed, but still was hot and soothing after skiing. Hi to Jazz and Carter. Read more

Very poor parking situation and with construction right out side your window a very busy and noisy place during the day. Unless you like to get up at 7AM this might not be the spot for you. Also, the ground floor windows are at street level so you really cannot have the curtains open. It seems more like an office building with many rooms turned into ofices rather than motel rooms. Thank you for your review! I apologize for you not being made aware of the construction on the property east of Mountainside Inn. It is said to have a finish date of 2011. Also, parking during festival season can be a nuisance at times with limited parking spaces. We do have 4 office spaces in the complex out of 84 rooms.
