Thank you for your review. Mountainside Inn does not have air conditioning as most of the lodging accommodations in Telluride. We do offer fans in the units and this is adequate for our climate here. There is a fine hotel in Telluride that does offer air conditioning if this is desired.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountainside Inn. The room was clean and comfortable, nothing too large, but we weren't vacationing in CO to stay in our room. The stay were friendly and hospitable. We will definitely return! Read more
Thank you for your review. We will be checking out that bed in your unit and assessing your suggestion.
Decent value in an expensive town
Left on 08/15/2013 for a stay in August 2013 | AB
Expensive town with expensive lodging options. Mountainside Inn properties tended toward lower end of price range, but room and location quality did not disappoint. Close to San Miguel River for walking river trail or tubing. Walking distance within many places of interest. Hot tub is a bonus. Free parking available. However, check-in and check-out hours less than ideal. Also limited front desk hours. Read more

We thank you for your review and do want to mention that our hours of operation are from 8 am to 9 pm. After 9 pm there is a Night Manager who answers a phone situated on the front porch door for any questions from late arrivals or those who need to book a room. We extended our hours about the time of your stay on the 10th so I apologize if this was inconvenient for you.
Thanks for coming to stay with us.
Depends on the room

Room 218 is, among others, right above the entrance to the parking lot and check- in. It is where motorcycles come in and people gather and there is a fine view into the room across the alley in another property. It is not that anyone did anything but speak normally it was just too close to the action and can be noisy early in the morning and late at night.
There seem to be rooms that face the river in back of the property. They would be a better choice and worth asking for up front.
Good for the price.
Excellent king bed with great pillows and very good linen.
The walls kept the room well insulated from people next door. Delightful.
You don't need to remember the " Do not disturb " sign on the door. See below*
Good size bathroom with toilet separated by its own door. Nice.
Easy walk to restaurants and shops...about 10 minutes.
Receptionist was pleasant and the chek-in process easy.
*No daily maid service unless you're staying for some extended period of time.
( that was new to me and, evidently, I wasn't the only one unaware of that)
Ancient and small tv - if that matters to you.
Thank you for such a well organized review of the Mountainside Inn. We are happy to see more pros than cons when it came to your stay. Mountainside Inn is a small complex and it is difficult to control other guests volume at the inn. We do have an after hours phone number where a noise complaint could be taken into account, and if the noise was extremely disruptive the local sheriff can always be called. As for the accommodations of the rooms, some of these units have not been upgraded due to the owner's discretion. We do not provide daily housekeeping, but our front desk agent would be happy to provide you with amenities if needed. We do hope you stay with us again in the future.
Convenient, pet-friendly and clean at an affordable price.

We really enjoyed our stay for the Blues & Brews Festival. Being able to soak in the hot tub to start and end our day was a huge bonus. The service was great and the staff was very helpful. The location was a short walk to the heart of downtown and would be right next the lifts in the winter. It was wonderful to have a place to stay with our dogs. The trails to walk the dogs were just out the front door. This isn't luxury lodging, but it was a nice place with everything we needed. Read more

Not a pleasant stay
Left on 07/18/2010 for a stay in July 2010 | Not Happy
For the price the room was simple, toilet handle was broken, and only shampoo available as an extra. The room was eyeshot and earshot from the road that leads into the front office so window and blinds had to be closed the whole time. No view, only concrete and other buildings. No coffee pot and the girl at the front desk when we left was very rude, did not want to be bothered... Will never stay in Telluride again, too high priced for terrible service at hotel and restaurant we ate at... Read more

As the title states, it is a place to stay. Nothing fancy and not impressive to us. For the price we were expecting more. Rooms could stand to be updated, especially the bathroom. TV was very tiny, but I suppose you don't need a TV on vacation. Hot tub was more of a luke warm tub and not usable. Parking is mostly offsite with a short walk to your room. Maid servce only occurs every 3 days and we had to get extra, clean towels from the desk a couple times.
I personally wouldn't stay here again but give it a try if you need a place with a cheaper price and you won't need the room for more than sleeping. For only this purpose, it will be a good place. Read more
