March 2010 Trip

We've been staying at Mountainside Inn for many years and alway enjoy our stay. This trip was no exception. Room 414 looks out directly onto the mountain and is quite and private. Mountainside Inn is the best value in town and for the price the rooms, while not luxurious, are adequately furnished. And of course it is so close to the lift 7 in the morning and at the end of the day you can ski off the Telluride Trail directly to the door of the 400 building.
The only negative comment would be every 3 day maid service. This is a bit long and causes problems with towels. Read more

Thanks for the good review. It's great to hear you enjoyed your stay, and thanks so much for being a loyal guest here at the Mountainside! Sorry that you did not find the mid week cleans to be adequate. The front desk here is always more then happy to accomodate your needs if you run out of towels, coffee, etc... Thanks again and come back and visit again soon!
Good value, but...

..the hot tub closed sooner then it was scheduled to, and the front desk had closed for the night, and there was no one to open it up. The first morning there, the construction on the new hotel next door woke us up, but the girl at the front desk made it right and switched rooms for us.
Room was nice and quiet.

The room was adequate and clean at the Inn. Within walking distance of everything downtown. Near the walking path and river. Downside was contruction in area. Limited parking and confusing finding check-in office. Very small lobby with no common use computer. Bring your own food, no free breakfast.

Telluride Bluegrass Weekend

We actually stayed at Alpine Lodge ?#319. The accommodations we superior
and the staff very accommodating. We mistakenly arrived a day early, or more
accurately , around midnight the night before our reservation, due to my
inattention and excitement about the event. I called the woman on-call from
your porch (in the rain) and she directed me to keys for a back-up "emergency
room" at the Mountainside Inn. I greatly appreciated the reasonably priced
unexpected room for the three of us. The next morning our reservation was
changed to the other building, which we loved, with our windows facing the
creek. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen very user-friendly. The
house keeping staff was friendly and courteous. We can't wait to come back.
A truly 4-star weekend for us!
Thank you for your positive review. We at TAL are happy to be able to accomodate you even when things don't go quite as planned! We look forward to your next stay. Thanks again

Location, location, location...you cannot find a better deal in Telluride. This
was our second stay. Our first was Christmas 2008. Both times we parked our
car and didn't use it again until we left. We love staying here. The room is
quite adequate; clean and functional. In addition this room had a nice
refrigerator, stove top, microwave, dishes and utensils. The location is quiet
and pet friendly. Though we don't bring a pet we enjoy seeing others bring
theirs. We are not hotel people and love being able to come an go from our
room without meeting and greeting one hundred people. I really cannot come
up with one thing I liked "least" other than having to leave and come home!
Thank YOU Mountainside Inn. Read more
