2 Dingle Cottage is near the lovely bay at Waterwynch, between Saundersfoot and Tenby, quietly situated down a private track in a sunny wooded valley. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path skirts the boundary of the garden and leads to the nearby sandy beach. The house and gardens face south and the large original sash windows and high ceilings make the cottage feel light and airy. Each room has period furnishings and rich fabrics in keeping with the age and its history within the Waterwynch Estate, established in 1820 by the artist Charles Norris reflecting its romantics design. The cottage style fitted kitchen is well-equipped and the dual aspect... dining room is perfect for leisurely meals. The long lounge with plenty of easy seating has an open fire for those chillier evenings and large sash windows to make the most of the southerly aspect. The bedrooms above are a welcome retreat and look out over the beautifully landscaped and terraced grounds. The cottage is well cared for by the housekeeper and gardener next door. Follow the Coastal Path round the cliff tops to Tenby with its picture postcard harbour, and cobbled streets with plenty of shops pubs and restaurants to try. A boat trip to Caldey Island with its Cistercian monks should not be missed or enjoy a choice of 4 wonderful sandy beaches. In the other direction lies the popular seaside village of Saundersfoot with its sandy beach, mackerel fishing trips, pubs and restaurants overlooking the beach and sea. 2 Dingle Cottage is an ideal holiday retreat all year round.Care needed with children as the grounds are terraced.
