Wonderful vacation in St. Martin and villa Escapade.

Villa Escapade lived up to most of our expectations. Great view, comfortable beds, clean, good location, nice pool. (a little too deep at the one end for how we use a pool but...) All the amenities we needed worked well. It\'s a well kept property that could use a little updating in spots. Our only really disappointment, if you could call it that was, it needs a better bbq. The one there is very small and cheap but we managed. If it were my villa I\'d also update the rooms off the pool with new doors and screens. The stereo system worked well enough but could use a bit of an upgrade as well. None of that took anything away from the good time we had and when we went out, it was always a pleasure returning to this villa. - Wayne M., Ontario, Canada

St Martin is fabulous!

This is our 2nd trip to the island and we had a wonderful time. We spent much less time at the villa than usual. The manager was intrusive and we felt very little privacy We went with a group of women, but I would never go with couples due to this. The pool is much smaller than it appears on the web site. Escapade is a beatiful villa. The view was stunning, surrounds relaxing and soothing, and the staff very helpful. The arrangements worked extremely well; we were met on time, and the car rental went smoothly.With the provisions provided, and the French market nearby we enjoyed the kitchen and the beautiful dining areas. The chaise lounges on the pool deck provided a space for reading, relaxing and enjoying the view. We particularly enjoyed the openess of the villa; there were stunning views everywhere we looked, although the wives were somewhat concerned with the openess of the bathrooms -- perhaps some form of a privicy screen could be available for those who wish it. The best view on St. Martin

I have been to the island approximately 10 times. I have stayed at Le mas de Sables.Petit Pont.Jacaranda. Day-o, and Soleil Couchant(4 times). While I love beachfront properties, Escapade had the most amazing view of any property I have been to. THe villa could use a little updating in terms of decor and amenities(how much is a new microwave?),but, overall it was very comfortable and led to a great experience. The villa is beautiful, clean and well kept. I was very impressed how smoothly everything went from booking the vacation until our week was over. The villa could use some updating, our microwave almost exploded.
