Bullpen - Sleeps 8

A large, comfortable cottage with beamed ceilings, a balustraded gallery and wood burner. Bullpen has a spacious, open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area with sliding doors that open onto a patio overlooking the courtyard.

Downstairs:1 Double bedroom with private bathroom, overhead shower, heated towel rail, hand basin and WC. Additional shower room with hand basin, heated towel rail and WC.

Upstairs:1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms. Bathroom with overhead shower, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and WC.

Cotswold stone cottages are located a...round the courtyard of The Great Tythe Barn providing accommodation for a total of 52 guests. Most of the 11 cottages are converted from period farm buildings and have names that reflect their origins.

All the cottages are self-catering and many are open plan with kitchen, dining room, living room (some containing a wood burning stove), all are central heated with a number of double and twin bedrooms and bathrooms with shower, WC and washbasin. Bedlinen and towels are provided. The kitchen provides all the necessary equipment for preparing meals including a microwave, oven, gas hob, sink and utensils. All cottages have an ironing board and iron. Some of the larger cottages have dishwashers and freezers. Please ask the office for more details.

You are responsible for bringing your own toiletries. Cots and high chairs can be hired for your stay. Please let us know in advance as we only have a limited number available.

On arrival, key collection couldn't be simpler, as keys are displayed on a board outside the laundry room for your convenience.

Available for full week bookings and short breaks starting from Friday or Monday. A third deposit is charged at the time of booking. We cannot take provisional bookings. Sorry, we are unable to accommodate pets.

All cottages contain a built in oven, microwave, gas hob, extractor fan and fridge

Some but not all cottages have dishwashers and freezers. Please call if you require further details.

We provide a small welcome pack containing tea towel, washing up liquid, and washing up equipment.

Bed linen and towels are also provided. Toiletries and groceries are your responsibility.

All cottages have colour TV’s and DVD players.

We have a coin-operated launderette.

Bookings for Cottages require one third of the total as a deposit. The remaining balance is payable 6 weeks before arrival.

Bookings for Bed and Breakfast rooms require full payment to secure the booking.

We will send a receipt and booking form by post. Please ensure ALL the guests and their details for each cottage are listed on the booking form. As per Fire Regulations the number of people occupying the cottage must not exceed the numbers shown as suitable in our brochure.

Travel cots and high chairs can be provided for children less than 2 years of age. Please request at

the time of booking as availability is limited. Cots cost £12.00 to hire.

Terms and Conditions

On the day of your arrival your cottage / B&B; room will be available from 3.00pm

On the day of your departure, kindly vacate your cottage / room by 10.00am

Each occupant must be allocated a bed, unless under 2 years of age.

If you have children please ensure they are properly supervised at all times.

We cannot accept liability for accidents or injuries which occur during your stay.

We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to your baggage, cars, and other belongings.

Sorry, we do not accept pets.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be instructed in writing

Once payment has been made (whether a deposit or full payment) no refund will be given unless the cottage or B&B; room can be re-let.

If the cottage/B&B; room is re-let we will refund any payments less £20 for each cottage and less £10 for each B&B; room to cover administration costs.Read more

Additional Location Information

From London
Leave London on the M4, drive approximately 100 miles west and exit at Junction 17 onto the A429 signposted Malmesbury. Approaching Malmesbury, continue straight across 2 roundabouts. After the water tower, watch out for left-hand turning (B4014) signposted Tetbury.

From Bristol
Leave Bristol on the M32. Take the M4 towards London. Exit at Junction 18. Take the A46 towards Stroud. Take the A433 towards Tetbury and Didmarton. On entering Tetbury, take the B4014 signposted Malmesbury and the Hospital. We are just past the hospital on the left.

From the North
Follow the M5 to exit 13 signposted Stroud. From Stroud take the A46 through Nailsworth. Tetbury is clearly sign posted.

By Train
The nearest station is Kemble, near Cirencester. You can call a taxi to meet you and bring you to The Folly Farm.

Tetbury is about 20 miles from Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Swindon.

The Tythe Barn and accommodation are situated next to Tetbury Hospital and only about 10 minutes walk from the town on the B4014 Malmesbury to Tetbury Road. Look out for our large distinctive sign by the roadside which reads The Great Tythe Barn & Folly Farm Cottages.
