This apartment was perfect. Jean-Franois is quick to give you information that you require. Has all the amenities listed and is easy to work with. No problem with deposit reimbursement.
Perfect location if you want to stay in the 18th arrondissement. Clean, close to subway and great neighbourhood.

OttawaSomething for all

This was a great apartment for all ages. We were able to stroll the streets by day with our family, then go out at night to adult entertainment. We felt safe day and late late at night! We loved the quiet apartment and the fact that 50 m away was a bustling street full of restaurants, food vendors, stores, and of course bakeries! Everything is exactly as the advertisement says and the personal service of Jean-Francois has to be experienced. He was very helpful and has lots of extra information to give. A lively and diverse neighborhood, our only regret is that we could not stay longer!

Princes RisboroughA comfortable and convenient place to stay
Left on 08/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We were greeted on our arrival in a really helpful and friendly way. Our hosts helped us to book a restaurant and a taxi. The apartment was very clean and well equipped having a separate toilet and bathroom. The kitchen area is modern but with well preserved and accented original features such as stain glass windows. The beds were comfortable and with a double bed settee the accommodations offers flexibility. The location is excellent being in a quiet side road but only a minute from a lovely, bustling cafe and shopping area. We thought it was the nicest part of Montmartre being busy and thriving but not inundated with tourists. We could easily buy our morning bread, get a coffee etc or any other things we needed for the day ahead. It is only a short walk to abbesses Metro station which is worth seeing in itself. We had a lovely stay here and would recommend it.

Sydney, AustraliaHassle-free stay in beautiful location
Left on 07/21/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The apartement was living up to the expectation of being clean, secure and amazingly quiet for its location. 5 Min walk to Metro station and 10 to the Sacre Coeur! Shops are on the way to the station which makes it easy to get supplies and restaurants are plenty around. The service by the owner was friendly, reliable, on time, all questions were answered within no time and information given was accurate. Refund of deposit was prompt. Could not speak more highly about the place, it certainly made the stay in Paris enjoyable and without any hassle.

LondonDid not meet expectations
Left on 07/06/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Given the amount of money we were paying, sadly our expectations were not matched.
The pictures we saw when making the booking were of a clean modern apartment. While some of the fixtures were modern, there were a number of examples where the finish and workmanship were sadly not up to the same standard; for example on arrival the toilet seat was broken, the bathroom sink plunger would not close (the sink had been fitted too close to the wall) and the general finish in the bathroom was sub-standard. (It was also potentially unsafe to have a washing machine and live socket in the bathroom).
The general building was old (typical of Paris) but was sadly rather run down and in need of maintenance.
The period nature of the building also meant that the walls and ceilings were thin and it was easy to hear what was going on in surrounding apartments, particular upstairs where audible music was being played until 12am. This obviously made it difficult to sleep. It was also easy to hear footsteps of people walking around.
Sadly the most disappointing thing was not any of the above, but the condition of the laundry and bedding. The duvets and some covers were soiled and stained and consequently we did not feel comfortable during our stay. This was most disappointing and totally unhygienic. There were also only two medium sized towels.
Also a number of the plates and glasses provided were either damaged or dirty.
There were good points to the apartment; the location was good (near to the train station), it was fairly spacious and the welcome was very warm and genial. Also it was easy to contact the host prior to arrival.
In summary, given the amount of money we were paying for we had expected more. Some of the issues can be forgiven given the period nature of the building (although the noise from upstairs was disturbing), however there were things, such as the stained bedding and dirty plates which cannot be cannot be forgiven under any circumstances.

Owner
Hello Graham,
Thank you very much for posting your review.
We are very sad you did not feel satisfied with your stay in the apartment.
A few clarifications though:
- We were very happy to check you in 4 hours before regular check in time (12h00), so that you could rush within 5 minutes to Rolland Garros tournament, hence maybe a lack of communication regarding everything you may ask,
- As you said, we always welcome our guests the best we can, which also means being available whenever you need it. Unfortunately, you never contacted us during your stay to mention any problem. A simple call, and we would have definitely changed all linens within an hour, if proved they were dirty,
- We never mentionned to you we found the toilet broken and some other stuff in the bathroom sink. If you contacted us, we would have fixed that in the hour, as we did after your departure, instead of feeling you did not clarify this matter with us,
- To clarify regaring the apartment's renovation and quality ; the whole place was remodelled a year ago, and we believe that Grohe and Siemens material are fair enough compared to the price asked for a night in this place. The sink plunger can always close, because it is a modern system. There is no single problem of conception regarding these items.
- Last but not least, we have dozens of reviews for this place (available to anyone upon request) that mention the fact the place is the quietest they've ever been to in Paris, how beautiful and well placed it is.
We hope to sort things better and improve our services for every guest we host, and we hope to welcome you again to prove it.
Warm Regards,
Jean Francois -
Jess

Four of us girls stayed in the apartment for 3 nights. We arrived late but Jean-Francois was able to wait for us and answer our questions! Perfect location for getting to major tourist sites. The nearby small convenient store and wine shop also made our stay most enjoyable!
thanks again, and we hope to see you soon!
