Description from the owner
This apartment is the Paris pied-a-terre of a distinguished British writer.
It overlooks a leafy courtyard, so quiet that it’s hard to believe you are in the very heart of one of the world’s great capital cities. No traffic to wake you up here – and no noisy neighbours or paper-thin walls either: one merit of 18th century construction is that it’s solid stone.
The apartment itself comprises a dining room with fully equipped open kitchen – complete with a dining
table from the 1890s, designed by Gustav Eiffel, the man who built the Eiffel tower; a drawing room with a stone fireplace and Edwardian furnishings, dati...Read more

The location of this stunning apartment - the key to any successful holiday – is unbeatable.
It is situated on the second floor of an 18th century building in an old street off the rue St Honore, the Paris equivalent of London’s Bond Street, which showcases the country’s leading fashion designers – from Colette to Chantal Thomass to John Galliano; as well as antique dealers and restaurants – Maxim’s in the rue Royale is five minutes away; and not forgetting the Elysee Palace, where the French President lives, five minutes further on.

255068Paris - Lourve/St Honore apartment - brilliant
Left on 05/20/2012 for a stay in May 2012
I highly recommend the Paris8 apartments - Lourve/St Honore apartment. The manager and his staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay in Paris is welcoming and reliable and it is wonderful to arrive in Paris and step off the street into a Parisian courtyard and then to climb, yes two flights of stairs but they are an easy climb, and to open the door to a fully kitted apartment - one where real people live - not just Ikea.
The apartment is a perfect size for two or three (we asked for an extra bed - for my teenage daughter. It was a very comfortable air mattress which was set up in the lounge area). The apartment itself has loads of character with big windows and creaky wooden floors coupled with modern creature comforts. It is spacious with the bedroom open to the lounge area and a separate kitchen dining area. The bathroom is set out well with a brilliant shower in the bath.
We immersed ourselves into Parisian life. We stayed for 5 days in May so we could spare time to relax and read one of the many interesting books from a well stocked library, cook after buying fresh produce from the market, catch up on washing after travelling for a month, make a few phone calls home, enjoy a long luxurious bath and lounge about while enjoying the breeze which flows through the apartment's enormous windows.
My family and I just loved it and the location is amazing. Paris is on your doorstep - stepping out to the Opera, Tuilierie, Lourve, D'Orsay and Lafayette being just short walks and brilliant to get to early to miss the crowds. Notre Dame, Pompedui, Arch, left bank and the Eiffel are a little further but nothing is difficult with the metro at the end of the Rue. On Wed and Sat there is a market in the square just up the road and as with anywhere in central Paris cafes are on the door-step - just outside are two wonderful little wine stops.
The apartment is spacious without being huge and the service was trusting and obliging.
I can't thank Oliver and his staff enough for their help in recommending St Honore apartment and in providing information on the area. It made our Paris holiday so much less touristy and more of a Parisian experience.
