Entering this Paris studio you will discover a charming kitchen with all the essential utensils and kitchenware to make your introduction... to French gastronomy a true delight. A Foodies paradise, you can find all your ingredients at the rue du Poteau market right off your doorstep. Don’t feel like cooking, well no problem there, the numerous caterers in the neighborhood can help you dress your table for two in style. All that’s left to do is to pop open a bottle of wine or champagne and indulge in a romantic dinner for two.

This Paris studio rental is certainly not short on storage – numerous compartments and a mirrored closet allow you to unpack those bags and make yourself at home.

For your convenience the shower room and WC are separate. The Italian shower and custom sink, heated towel rack and cupboards make this small space practical and luxurious.

A glass paned window looks into the bedroom while curtains separate it from the kitchen/dining area. The large bedroom, which has been set up as a suite, with TV, DVD player, a collapsible writing desk, and two arm chairs in which to relax, is the perfect retreat.

Everything has been “dressed” by a lover of couture, a regular at the “Marche Saint Pierre”, the busiest fabric market in the capital, also located in Montmartre. Little decorative cushions, sumptuous drapes and an elegant bedspread all add to that romantic Paris charm.

After a long day of sightseeing you will be thankful for the large comfortable queen-size bed from which you can admire the Paris photos, taken by a passionate young artist, adorning the walls. Or just lay back and enjoy a DVD on the flat screen TV or catch up on international news.

Paris Chic is located at the foot of the butte de Montmartre whose streets, cafes and restaurants are teeming with the artistic legacy, haunting grounds and homes of Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir, Edith Pifaf and many others.

French film buffs can admire the various backdrops used in classic and contemporary cinema. The boulangerie Au Levain du Marais on rue Caulaincourt from “Julia and Julia”, Le Café Les Deux Moulins in rue Lepic from Amelie. Scenes from Forget Paris, Sabrina, Everyone Says I Love you, Funny Face and countless others will come streaming back as you walk through these streets.

Closer to home in Rue du Poteau, you’ll find everything you need: a real market offering a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, bakery with some of the best baguette in Paris to enjoy with the best cheeses selected by the formagerie “Quatrehomme “.

Not to mention the fish and a myriad of restaurants serving Italian, Vietnamese, African and of course French foods. You can also enjoy the bi-weekly market in rue Ordener which stretches down from rue Damremont to rue Vauvernague. At number 159 pick a “baguette tradition” from Boulangerie Mauvieux ,winner of Paris’ 2012 best baguette. Truly delicious!

Entertainment side, you will be a short walk from rue Lepic at the bottom of which you will find the famous Moulin Rouge and attend a real French Cancan …

Location

The Rue du Poteau is famous for its many shops, its constant activities, its market.
The apartment is 200m from the metro Jules Joffrin (line 12), giving direct access to Pigalle (Moulin Rouge), Porte de Versailles, Gare St Lazare, Gare Montparnasse. 18 mins by metro to Place de la Concorde, 22 minutes to St Germain, 20 mins to Champs Elysee by bus.

You are just a few stops Opera, Galeries Lafayette & Printemps, Gare du Nord and Gare de l’East & Charles de Gaulle Airport.

A more recent attraction to Montmartre is the wonderful French cooking school, Cook’n With Class which makes use of the rue du Poteau market daily. Paris chic is a great apartment to stay in if you are taking a few of their wonderful class offerings.

  My husband and I have rented apartments with Feels like home in Paris on our last three trips. Yetunde has never led us wrong. Paris Chic is a charming apartment with everything a couple would need. A very neat and nicely decorated ground floor apartment. The bathroom and shower were roomy enough. The dining room kitchen area is roomy by Paris standards. The Mac computer was a great addition and came in handy. The neighborhood had a great street market and some charming cafes. There were a few places that looked a little less than inviting but we never felt unsafe in the neighborhood. A great grocery store almost across the street. Very easy access to the metro. Yetunde's assistant was pleasant and very knowledgable. She had a great personality. The iPhone that Feels like home in Paris provides was full of great helpful apps. I cannot forget to mention the welcome basket they leave. Yummy. Great goodies for you to munch on.

  Perfect Place to Stay

  My wife and I stayed for almost two weeks here and found it a perfect base to our second paris visit from australia.
  
  We especially liked the fact it was 3 min walk to Jules Joffin Station, a 7 minutes walk to "Cook N with Class" French Cooking School, outside of the typical tourist area but in a vibrant market street with stunning foods to buy.
  
  We never felt unsafe and the ground floor level and courtyard aspect was often appreciated after hard day sightseeing, as was the (rare) escalators up out of Jules Joffin Metro.
  
  Yutende & James looked after us like perfectly. We have 1 minor issue we reported an it was fixed that day.
  
  Previously we had stayed in Hotels but this was much better sleep, larger and cheaper overall.

  This small apartment is ideally situated for the abundance of wonderful fresh produce and deli shops and a good supermarket just across the street. The area is far more French than touristy which I loved but is not far from the centre of Montmartre and only a 5 minute walk to the Jules Joffrin Metro station. This ground floor apartment is secure, comfortable and very well equipped but the dining table is very small. I was sorry to leave after my 10 days in this great area.

  We stayed at the Paris Chic for 3 nights and loved the location. It was close to restaurants and shopping and one of the staff was there to meet us when we arrived. There was a market and bakery right outside the apartment. We were even given a "welcome" basket. The apartment included all amentities one would need and was also very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who visits Paris. The apartment gives you a feel for actually living in Paris, which gives you a warm feeling compared to staying in a hotel. The apartment was very nice and clean.
