      Highly recommended

Left on 04/20/2013 for a stay in April 2013

My wife, young daughter and I rented the apartment for a week in mid-April 2013. I highly recommend it. The location at the arc de Triomphe could not be better.

We took the air France bus from CDG airport, which drops off a half block from the apartment and costs about half what a taxi charges. Taxis and the metro are close; the double-decker tour buses also stop on the other side of the arc.

The apartment is nicely furnished, comfortable and accurately reflects the photos that accompany the ads. The building is quiet and secure. The big bed was firm and gave us a great night's sleep. Our six-year-old slept on a small mattress on the floor and was quite happy with the arrangement. The check-in went smoothly and everything inside the apartment worked as advertised.

There are many restaurants nearby and a supermarket just down the block.

One caution for americans unused to French appliances, like the washer/dryer. Read the instructions carefully. Same with the sleek, flat-top stove. Everything worked fine, but differently.

We were very happy with the apartment and its management. Again, I would recommend this property to anyone.

Left on 11/29/2012 for a stay in November 2012

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we desired. The old lift was charming and the modernized apartment was comfortable. The location was perfect with close proximity to the market and metro. Philippe was extremely helpful with our check-in, orientation and checkout. We will absolutely stay here again when we return to Paris.

Left on 07/14/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We stayed here for 5 nights in June 2012, with our 14 and 11 year old children. They slept on the fold out sofa and we had our own room. The split bathroom was convenient (toilet off living room, tub/shower off master bedroom), and it was great having a kitchen and laundry. The 30's building has been completely renovated and was in a super convenient location. The metro is one block over, and several restaurants, cafe's, groceries, and patisseries within a few minutes walk.

      Clean and well-located

Left on 07/10/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We traveled as a family of four (two teenaged daughters), and this apartment fit our needs for our trip to Paris. The apartment was spacious and clean; there was plenty of space to spread out our suitcases. It had nice hardwood floors. There was one small closet in the bedroom, and a bookcase-type closet in the living room. The pull-out couch was large enough for two, but the mattress was only an inch thick and very squeaky. The elevator only fits three people and is very small; however, it was better than having no elevator. The toilet was outside of the bathroom, which didn't really bother us. The bathroom was modern and clean, had good towels, and a double sink without much counter space. There was a hand-held shower head in the tub. The bathroom did not have shampoo or soap, so we bought them at a pharmacy across the street. The combined washer and dryer worked, but it took a very long time to dry a small load. The TV was big and had channels in English (Style network, CNN, TCM, etc.). The bedroom had another TV and adequate space, but there were no lights for reading. We had a little bit of trouble with the Wi-fi, but Philippe fixed it right away.

Philippe was a great host. He helped us with our bags at check in and told us where the grocery store was, etc. Check out was speedy and he came right on time since we were in a hurry to get to the airport.

It was in a good location, close to the metro and the arc de Triomphe. We really liked the Monoprix grocery store that was a short walk away, as well as a great crêperie called L'etoile D'or. There was a Paul bakery across the street from the Monoprix, which had delicious croissants. There were also a couple of pharmacies on our street, which are helpful if you forget anything. There are several shops (including Fnac, where you can buy museum passes) by Monoprix, as well as an open-air market, where we bought a rotisserie chicken one night. The market is open from the morning (around 8) until about 7 at night.

Overall, the apartment suited our needs for our vacation well. It was close to the metro so we could see the rest of Paris with ease. We felt very safe there.

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback.

I would just like to provide future travellers with a few details:

You are in a art Déco type building .there was originally no lift and this is why they are failly small .
The toilet are never in the bathroom .There is a cultural difference with the US .No one in France wants to have friends visiting you going into your bathroom when they go to the toilet.
Your right there is no soap nor shampoo .we are not an Hotel .

I'm sorry to hear that the pull out sofa bed was not confortable .it is true that it is not as confortable as a regular bed .the mattress is 3 inch thick .We have an additionnal matress which can be used when the apartment is used by 4 people .

I do not know what you mean with reading lights as the is a small table light on each side of the bed as can be seen from the pictures on the site.

      Delightful, convenient and stylish

Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in May 2012

By staying in this lovely accommodation it made our all too brief stay of only 3 nights in Paris much more memorable. Being so conveniently located we were able to see so many sights with the metro close by and maximize our excursions.
Having a lovely place to stay we could bring back delicious fresh food and French wine and enjoy them in delightful surroundings.
The lift to the apartment door made luggage handling and returning each day to the sixth floor easy. The apartment was so well appointed and decorated and after travelling some time it great to be able to do laundry and have space for our 3 family members to relax and not be in a cramped hotel. The owner Philippe met us on arrival at the apartment and explained the facilities but we did find having to provide a large cash euro amount on arrival for possible breakages, which was promptly returned on departure, inconvenient as heading on the the UK meant we no longer required euros. Perhaps giving credit card details would have been sufficient in case such an unfortunate accident did incur such a charge..

      Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

Left on 01/04/2012 for a stay in December 2011

We've been to Paris many times...and always stayed in a hotel. This time we decided to live a week as Parisians by staying in an apartment. The location is perfect...just two blocks from the arc de Triumph. The apartment is well laid out. The living room is large. The kitchen is small but completely adequate to cook meals. The bathroom is very nice and good sized. The bedroom is wonderful...with a very nice queen size bed. Philippe was wonderful! He met us when we arrived and made himself available during our entire week in Paris.

The subway is just a block and half away from the apartment...making getting around Paris a breeze. There is an open air market every morning that opens at 7am. You can crab fresh croissants, fruit, etc each day. There is even a little grocery store next to the apartment.

We highly recommend the apartment! We'll be back.

There could not be a better location for Paris apartment stay..

Left on 11/28/2011 for a stay in November 2011

Myself, wife and 5 yr old daughter stayed with Luxury Designer apartment "Paris authentic Living" for 3 nights November 2011 and found everything to be extremely satisfactory. Phillipe, who manages the property was extremely responsive to our advance correspondence by email and met us exactly as promised very punctually and efficient on both arrival and departure days. He provided a nice overview of the apartment facilities upon arrival and we found everything to be extremely clean and very comfortable for our stay.

Despite a the ideal location where we thought we might have some street noise, the apartment faces into courtyard of apartments where people are living and day and night was peacefully and exceptionally quiet. Honestly, there is not a better location to have as a base in Paris then this. The small but very well equipped kitchen area was great to save on eating out 3 time a day and also, the washer was very useful and efficient.

The only downside was the internet - which could see it was coming through but somehow did not seem to connect with code through smart phone. Anyway, very small inconvenience, especially if using for pleasure trip to Paris, kind of blesssing in a way it is not working! Sure Phillippe will find solution to this soon enough, and by the time I return again, and definitely would stay here again without hesitation.

Only suggestion to improve stay would be to provide paper towels for kitchen and new packaged kitchen sponge as one could be unsure which under sink opened had been used for general cleaning vs for kitchen use, and also to have box of tissues on hand in bathroom would be nice.

Perfect particulary for small family with one or two children...thank you Phillippe for wonderful hospitality and experience with our stay in Paris! We will be back to stay with you again soon.

      A Wonderful Stay

Left on 08/07/2011 for a stay in July 2011

Our family of four stayed in this apartment for 3 nights. We found the apartment to be very clean and well maintained. It was exactly as it appears in the photos. We found everything we needed to be comfortable. Having the toilet in a room separate from the tub and shower worked well for a family. However, it would have been nice to have a sink in the room with the toilet. We appreciated having the elevator after long days of sightseeing. The apartment's location was perfect, just a block or two from the arc De Triomphe. It was easy for us to sightsee using the Metro and on foot. We felt safe in the neighborhood. We arrived in Paris by train and took the Metro to the apartment. We found it easily. Someone was waiting for us at the apartment and we could make ourselves at home immediately. When departing we chose to ride the air France bus to the airport (the bus stops just down the street). We needed to have bus tickets printed out ahead of time and Philippe was happy to help us with that. The deposit process went smoothly. Our own personal mistake was choosing to use Euros rather than dollars. Philippe was happy to accept either for the deposit. Since Paris was our final destination, we did not factor into our planning that when the deposit was returned we would have a pocket full of Euros and no time to spend them. We were extremely pleased with everything about our wonderful stay at this apartment.

      Perfect apartment for our family...

Left on 07/23/2011 for a stay in July 2011

My family of four just returned from a great 10 day stay at this apartment. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos and impressed us as clean, quiet and secure.

You enter off avenue Mac Mahon and pass through a tiled courtyard before taking a small elevator to the sixth floor (seventh in the us). The apartment has a nice sized bathroom and a separate toilet room. There is a narrow, galley style kitchen where we prepared several of our meals.

We used the small washer/dryer combo unit located in the kitchen to cut down on the amount of clothes we brought. If you plan to use it, you might want to pack a small box of powered detergent. It took a bit of work to find some at the local grocery stores and it doesn't work with liquid detergents.

Both the living room and the bedroom have large windows that open out onto the courtyard for fresh air. There is a portable aC unit in the apartment, but with lows in the high 50's and highs in the mid 70's we never felt the need to use it and slept with the windows open each night. The kids, aged 13 and 15 shared the pull-out sofa bed and my wife and I stayed in the bedroom.

The apartment is in a great location. Just around the corner from the metro, the air France bus stop (Line 2) and a taxi stand. There are many restaurants, one of my favorite bakeries and a Monoprix for groceries within short walking distance. It is also pretty cool to step out the door and see the arc de Triomphe each morning!

Without a doubt we will book this apartment for any future trips to Paris!

The apartment was comfortable, well appointed, with a couple of nice touches; espresso maker, complimentary wine upon our arrival. Not only did the staff person spend over an hour with us explaining everything about the apartment, but at 09:00 the next day someone called to find out if everything was okay! There was a binder with information on absolutely everything a visitor would want to know! The location was superb; a ten minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and a five minute walk to a market street.

Perfect Paris apartment near arc de Triomphe

Left on 06/23/2011 for a stay in June 2011

This apartment was perfect for our family's recent summer trip to Paris. The location was just steps away from the arc de Triomphe, which was convenient for transportation and restaurants; it also made the vacation so memorable to see that iconic monument every time we walked out the door! The interior was very clean and modern, exactly like the photos. The owner was gracious in meeting us at an early hour and orienting us to the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

Ah Oui, We Had a Great Time!

Left on 12/12/2010 for a stay in November 2010

We recently rented this apartment for 8 nights. As the name suggests, the apartment is ideally located a stone's throw from arc De Triomphe, the bus stop from the CDG airport, the metro, grocery stores, a farmer's market and even to Champs Elysees! What more can you ask for? It is in just about the perfect location.

Well appointed and modern, with zero froufrou, it is decorated in a clean, crisp and simple way. The appliances are all high end and they all work well. We did laundry a couple of times, and used the dishwasher, stove and the microwave almost everyday. Hot water is abundant in the bathroom and the heated towel racks, both in the bathroom and the kitchen are a nice touch. As is typical in many places in Europe, the toilet is in a separate location than the bathroom. After a little grumbling, you get used to it.

The place you stay in can do much to enhance your vacation experience. After staying in the charming art deco bldg for 8 day, riding the metro, and picking up the freshest groceries for dinner everyday in the open air market at Rue-De-Proncelet, we began to think, why can't we live like this forever?

Our last trip to Paris was about 10 years back and we stayed in a hotel in a very touristy area. Paris seemed like a much lovelier place this time around; I think that this apartment had a lot to do with it.

We stayed at this flat in Paris for 8 nights in November, 2010. The flat is lovely and the location is perfect. It is less than a 1-minute walk from the bus stop for airFrance bus from Chas. De Gaulle airport and it is right at the Metro #1 (yellow line) at the arc de Triomphe. You cannot ask for a better location. The kitchen has everything you need if you decide to cook a meal. There is a grocery store, Monoprix, just down and around the corner. Free internet service and clean, modern decorations. Typical for Europe, the toilet is not in the same room as the bath - so american travelers should be prepared for that. But everything works perfectly.

The apartment met or exceeded our expectations. It's located just a minute or two from the arc de Triomphe in a good neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and outdoor cafes. The outdoor market at Proncelet is marvelous. We felt very safe in this area of Paris. The apartment is also very secure, with two doors requiring pass codes to reach the elevator.

The apartment is exactly as shown in the online photographs. The furnishings are new. The apartment is clean and well maintained. The bathroom fixtures and kitchen appliances are high end.

Upon arrival, the owner met us promptly at the designated time and carefully pointed out the features of the apartment. On the checkout day, our security deposit was returned after a quick inspection of the apartment for damage and missing items.

Just returned from our adventure in Paris. We were one of the many stranded there because of the volcano. We were so lucky to be able to extend our stay in the apartment. Beside being a beautiful, clean, well maintained and centrally located property the owner could not have been more helpful during this time. This is the first time we rented an apartment and would recommend this particular apartment to anyone who wants to experience the real Paris. The location is wonderful for transportation, restaurants, food shopping and sightseeing. Can't wait to rent it again for our next visit to Paris.

      Better than I even hoped

Left on 05/02/2010 for a stay in April 2010

This was a truly amazing apartment. Authentic French experience and still very very compfortable. The bedroom is completely private which works well if someone is in the living room. The location speaks for itself! It has a neighborhood to the left and the Champs Elysees to the right..what else it there in the world?? Oh yeah, three main metro lines with in a block. This was a truly wonderful place to stay and I can't wait to get back there! The owner was extremely nice and very helpful to us as well.
