Winnipeg, Manitoba, CanadaGreat apartment, Great Location, Great Value
Left on 09/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We spent a week at the Boulangerie Room in July. We were greeted by a friendly colleague of the owner within minutes of arriving at the apartment from the airport. She gave us an informative overview of the studio and the neighbourhood and we were off to enjoy all that Paris has to offer. The studio is small by North american standards but we have stayed in hotel rooms in Paris that were much smaller. The studio was exactly as described and represented in photos. Everything you need is in the apartment, a small refrigerator, cooking utensils, a coffee maker and a washer. The bed was very comfortable. We shopped in the neighbourhood for food and wine, a Monoprix is nearby as well as many other shops. We enjoyed the local restaurants and markets. The proximity to the Metro is wonderful. We traveled the Metro without any difficulties. We were there during the arrival of the Tour de France which was an amazing event in itself. The apartment is close to the Rue de Commerce, a great street for shopping. There was a market on Sunday near the La Motte Picquet metro station that had amazing food, fresh fish, and wonderful baked goods. After long days of taking in the sights and shopping, the Boulangerie Room was a wonderful place to come home to each day. We walked to the Eiffel Tower several times and enjoyed a picnic in a grassy area across the river while the sun set, a memorable experience for sure. Our stay at the Boulangerie Room was great, we would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy an authentic Parisian experience. We cannot wait until our next visit to the Boulangerie Room, Thanks for everything.

The Boulangerie Room was a fantastic place to stay. We were visiting Paris for the first time to attend a friends wedding. After lots of prompt emails Christophe met us at the property, he showed us around the apartement which was just as it looked online (if not better). He then gave us a quick tour of the local area and recommended some shops and restaurants.
We found the suite to be clean, safe and comfortable, just what we needed for our stay. The nespresso machine was a real bonus and the shower was warm and powerful. We would definately stay at this fun, quirky apartement again!Response from Christophe, Angelique and Baby Victor - 06/13/2012

We had issues arriving but Christophe was accommodating in every way and even stayed up late to assist with our arrival. This place is small but we required little space and it had everything we needed. The location is great, close to anything you might require and a great starting point for day adventures. Bike rentals, Metro, bakeries, butcher shops, cheese shops, produce, chocolate shops, shopping, cafe's, all within a 2 blocks of the apartment. Apartment is clean and cute and the price was a steal. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone. We also must advise to take a Fat Tire bike tour the minute you arrive, helps to give you some history and a sense of your way around.

Fabulous Stay at Lafayette apartment
We had a fabulous stay at the Lafayette apartment. The apartment was nicely decorated & well presented. It was very quiet & secure in a lovely old building. The location is excellent for exploring Paris. We were able to walk to most places & the metro/ train station was just next door. We bought all of our provisions locally & although we only stayed for 4 nights we really got a feel for the city. Christophe was extremely helpful during the booking process & throughout our stay. We would definitely stay at one of Christophe's apartments again.
Thank you Christophe for a wonderful stay.

Chris and his young son Victor met us and showed us around the apartment and explained how every thing worked. He then took the time to and walked us around the neighborhood and made recommendations for dining and which shops offered the best produce, wine and cheese. Chris accommodated our request for an early check in which was wonderful after flying for 16 hours and arriving early in the morning. The apartment was exactly as advertised, clean, comfortable, charming and quiet during the evening. It is located near 2 metro stops and a large supermarket. If you want the Real Parisian experience this is the neighborhood for it. Fun, Safe and located close to all the major sights either by walking or metro. Chris was excellent to work with, quick to respond to emails and very accommodating. What a super person. I would highly recommend this property to my friends and family when they are in Paris

Left on 01/02/2012 for a stay in December 2011
The owner, Christophe, was very helpful and, as he was out of town when we arrived the week of Christmas, his good friend met us and pointed out a few key spots in the area. We were given the keys and all relevant information that we might need during our stay (e.g., how to work the heater, the stove, etc.). The apartment is located near the metro and quiet during the evening. Like a hotel, a hair dryer and towels are provided; however, there are no wash rags (to be expected outside of the U.S. so we brought our own). We liked that there was a kitchenette as it helped keep the cost of meals down and was very convenient when we were tired after a long day of sight seeing. The kitchenette was especially nice as many hotels do not allow you to take food in your room. We had a very nice stay and would definitely rent from Christophe in the future!

We stayed a week following a hectic tour of France. The location about 200 meter from a shopping / cafe area and metro station is excellent. On arrival we were met by the owners representative and shown around and she provided answers to our many questions about the area and the flat.
The flat itself is basic but comfortable with all the facilities needed, self catering, washer dryer, TV and free wi-fi.
We will stay again next time in Paris, and may that be really soon!! -

We loved the Boulangerie Room and this neighborhood in Paris. Chris met us and was very gracious. He showed us the apartment and walked us around the neighborhood. The apartment is very charming and comfortable. The neighborhood had everything you needed just steps away. Several bakeries, cafes, sidewalk markets, pharmacies, and coffee shops. 2 metro stations were very close and easy to use. We walked to and from the Eiffel tower several times, even at midnight and felt very safe. We miss it already!

We loved this place. Chris met us with a very warm welcome and showed us around the neighbourhood, his favourite bakery, supermarkets, cafes etc. It was close to two Metro stops, so getting around was cheap and so easy. We also were close enough to walk to many places.
It was so nice to be able to use a washing machine instead of washing our things in tiny sinks and to have the option of being able to cook if desired, and to have a fridge available. Being away from from the busy tourist accommodation areas, but still close to everything, was great and we experienced a lovely side of Paris that perhaps we would not have seen had we stayed elsewhere.
Highly recommended.Response from Christophe, Angelique and Baby Victor - 09/25/2011

Left on 05/09/2011 for a stay in April 2011
The Boulangerie room is spare but comfortable and superbly equipped for a vacation stay. As others have noted, though it's away from the areas well-known by tourists, here you have the pleasure of living in a "real" Parisian neighborhood replete with shops, cafes, (real) bakeries, markets and so on. The idea of renovating a bakery into a studio apartment is so clever and offers a very unique experience.
Christophe met us at the flat and took the time to orient us to our new home and stroll the neighborhood. His suggestions were right on and we greatly appreciated the attention he gave us as we settled in.
We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to others.

Left on 03/03/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We stayed in the Boulangerie for a week in late February and loved it. The studio apartment is absolutely charming - the pictures don't lie!
We found the apartment to be really comfortable, lovely bed (vouched for by my 6' 8" companion) and spotlessly clean. It was great to have to have a few home amenities like a washing machine, and kettle etc when you are away from home for more than a couple of days. It was also good to have access to the internet and to sky news!
While the apartment is a bit away from the well known sights - it served by a really close metro station and is very safe and secure. We really liked visiting the local shops and restaurants nearby and found the area very authentic. All in all - I can't recommend the boulangerie rooms highly enough!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. There's a reason everyone gives this place fives stars. The owner Christophe is one of the nicest and most accommodating people I have ever met. I would stay here just because of him. Moreover, the place in is a great location right off the metro. The Monoprix, boulangerie, cheese, wine, and local market shops are right around the corner. It's spacious, clean, prepared with cooking utensils, coffee, and fresh clean towels. The bed is large and amazingly comfortable. You would pay five or six times for what you get here at a hotel. We are staying in another one of Christophe's places for a week and it is equally as amazing. My highest recommendations to this apartment and any other of Christophe's places. We dream of having a place like this for ourselves one day. Thank you so much Christophe for all of you hospitality.

Diane and I are so pleased we stayed at the Bakery on our recent visit to Paris.
We just walked around the corner, and there were many shops, not many tourists, good clasical streets with neat stores, bakeries, chocolate shops , fruits and vegetables, grocery store, restaurants, a crepe shop to die for, etc.
Want to go anywhere in the City, without any trouble?...so close to the Metro stops.
All in all, no negatives...only positives. What a neat apartment. When we played the card game Gin on the table under the open window of the street door, people would look in and ask questions about the apartment...some with a sense of humor who asked for bread of one sort or another. It was fun, and we explained it was an apartment that was rentable
We gave the name to a couple people who were staying in the Latin Quarter. I hope they become future clients of yours.

Wonderful experience at the Boulangerie Room...Christophe and angelique were extremely kind and helpful. The location of the room was perfect for us; 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and the metro right around the corner- it was close enough in the city to see the sights yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as this room is in a building where normal Parisians live, and get up to go to work in the morning.
The shower was wonderful and the bed was very comfortable. The fridge was also nice so we could keep cold water and juice and having the nespresso machine was very helpful getting us going in the morning! Would stay here again! -

My now husband and I came to Paris to elope in March :) We stayed in the sewing room from March 2-11 2010, and we had our photographer (Brent) accompany us who stayed in the Boulangerie room. My husband and I absolutely fell in love with the quaint studio apartment, and Brent didn't want to leave. At the end of our short stay we really did feel like Parisians :) Both Angelique and Christophe are incredibly hospitable beyond words. Christophe put together an amazing package for us which was all laid out upon our arrival, this included red roses, wonderful champagne, red wine, assorted cheeses, and delectable pastries. Angelique even made appointments/arrangements for my hair and makeup the day of my wedding, she even met me at the apartment and accompanied me to the galleries lafayettes to have my makeup completed at Chanel! She stayed with me, even assisted me in to my wedding dress...it was all so exciting and she was a huge part of our wonderful Paris memories. We were met with such kindness, even the people in the neighbourhood are so incredibly nice. The monoprix is literally right around the corner, which we found to be perfect to purchase some baguettes and brie for the odd meal, you are surrounded with bakeries and butcher and cheese shops, at the monoprix you will find incredibly affordable wine (the most inexpensive we saw was 1,38 euros). We used the metro quite frequently, so it was SO nice to have it right down the road. Everything is just as described (within walking distance) we walked to the eiffel tower on a few occasions, it was just so close. We walked the streets and went clothes shopping on a few different occasions, it definitely makes a difference staying where the Parisian locals stay, because when we did venture into the touristy areas prices for everything was increased, and sometimes double! NY, USASO ORIGINAL and unique experience , it was our honeymoon...
Left on 02/14/2010 for a stay in January 2010
My wife and I stayed at the Boulangerie room for
three nights in January 2010, and we loved it! The
owners (Christophe, Angélique and baby Victor) were
very kind and warm people who made our stay even more
enjoyable. The interior was very comfortable and
cozy. The location was also very convenient because
of nearby metro station, shopping, and a number of
good cafe's and bakeries. It certainly was an
unforgettable memory for us. -

British Columbia, CanadaMy unforgettable stay at the Boulangerie Room
Left on 02/14/2010 for a stay in August 2009
My husband and I stayed at the wonderful "Boulangerie
Room" in early August of 2009. We enjoyed the
neighbourhood, both very pleased with the location
which was quiet, yet close to the metro, shopping and
cafe life. The accommodation itself is well-appointed
and delightfully unique. It retains its 'bakery
character'and was quite a pleasure to 'come home to'.
The owners are lovely people, interested in creating
an authentic Parisian experience for visitors. We
enjoyed living among the locals and highly recommend
the 'Boulangerie Room'
