This studio is located in central Paris, at 10-15 min walk from Opera, Louvre and Les Halles districts, and 2 minutes from Montorgueil and Rue Montmartre, the famous pedestrian areas with plenty of lovely terraces and all commodities needed such supermarkets, fish stores, cheese shops, wine shops, flower shops, bakeries or restaurants.
Access to Sentier station (line 3) is also 100m from the building.
In brief, no waste of time in transportation, enjoy your strolls in a trendy and safe area of Paris !

I loved the location of this apartment. It is walking distance from many major sights, and especially close to the Louvre. Frederique, the owner, lives in the building and was very hospitable and helpful. One thing to be warned about, however, is the noise from neighbours. Although it is an old building, the walls are thin so it is easy to hear people next door, above and below. On both Friday and Saturday nights, I was awake until 4 a.m. because neighbours were shouting so loudly. I know this could happen anywhere, and Frederique was very apologetic, but it was still frustrating. I tried earplugs, white noise, etc, to no avail.

During Elaine's stay, there was indeed a party upstairs. We tried our best to put an end to it, but it is true that we don't have control over the occasional disturbances from neighbors. These do remain infrequent, however.
We did our best to compensate our guest by offering her a gift certificate for discounts on any future stay on ParisSharing. -

Close by to restaurants and a metro. Nice to have a small kitchen. Good for a couple but a bit small for any more than 2. Very nice land-lords. A ton of stairs and teeny elevator, not good for handicapped or large people. We stayed for a weekend, it was nice for that. Quiet. Good wifi.
