The apartment is situated on the first floor of early 19th Century building. It is 45 sq. Meters (485 sq. foot), with high ceilings and wooden parquet floors. There is a working wood burner and double glazed windows throughout.

You enter the apartment by a long entrance hall with wood parquet floors; to your left is the bedroom with a large queen sized bed and a mirrored closet. The bedroom has a large sanded window that gives onto a walled courtyard (we will be creating a roof terrace there next year).

As you continue down the hallway you have a large bathroom to your left. The black-tiled bathroom is equipped with a full bath wi...th shower attachment, a large sink with storage drawers underneath, an electric towel heater and a suspended toilet.

The hallway then opens up to a large living space with an open plan kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped for somebody who loves to cook; there are plenty of utensils, pots and pans, a magimix food processor, espresso coffee machine, kettle and toaster. The oven and gas burners are state of the art.to the right of the kitchen there is a cubby hole with a dishwasher, washing machine (no dryer) and a large refrigerator. Next to the kitchen area is a marble topped design tulip table with seating for four.

The Kitchen looks over the living area with its two large floor to ceiling window doors that lead onto the balcony, with its garden chairs, small table, lavender and hedge trees; the living area has a large sofa that can serve as a single bed for an additional guest, and a re-upholstered sixties design armchair around a glass barcelona table from Knoll by Mies van der Rohe. There are plenty of art books to browse through and original artwork on the walls; a perfect place to relax after a long day immersing yourself in our beautiful city.

Additional Location Information

This one bedroom apartment is situated in the market street of rue du Faubourg Saint Denis; this is the new trendy area where many young bobos, artists and trendsetters are settling. Throned by a beautiful 17th century triomphal arch, (which you have a view of from our balcony), built to commemorate a military victory of Louis XIV; It has incredible food shops, small little restaurants, cafés and bars such as Chez Jeannette, with its incredible decor and ambience; the famous 'little India' covered passage called Passage Brady is just up the street. There is also the Delaville cafe/restaurant is just around the corner, installed in a former Bordello, with columns and wonderful gold mosaic tiling. The area is a wonderful place to be able to experience an authentic Parisian feel whilst being within walking distance or a couple of metro stops away from many of the central Paris tourist attractions. You have three metro lines that can take you quickly North and South or East and West. The Gare du Nord and Gare de L'est stations are just two staions away with connections to the airport and the Villepinte exhibition centres.

Additional notes from owner

1. No cleaning for a normal cleaning on departure, but guests are expected to leave the apartment as they found it. There will be a charge in case an out of ordinary cleaning is necessary.
2. 20 euros for use of the sofa bed (whether 2 or 3 guests total)
3. 500 euro deposit held on a valid credit card, but not charged.
4. Rentals of less than five nights is possible but there is a surcharge for this. We may sometimes offer specials for short stays on a last minute basis.
5. We can offer a 20% reduction for stays of over one month in high season and 30% for low season.

  From the day I e-mailed Regis with my request, communicating with Special apartments was a pleasure. Everyone is so professional and extremely helpful every step of the way... and based on my experiences with trying to book with other apartment companies in Paris, this was by far is the easiest and logical process I've come across.
  I stayed at the apartment for 4 weeks in July and needless to say it very much became home. The apartment was spacious, let's in a beautiful amount of light and is extremely chic. Everything was exactly how it was pictured and having a friend come to stay with me for a week proved that the apartment can easily accommodate two people comfortably.
  The apartment is decorated beautifully and it's the small things (like the book case full of coffee table books) that really make it feel like you are home indeed.
  The street itself is very cool but I don't recommend it to people who prefer 'elegant Paris', the area is full of character and people from all walks of life (which I personally love because you are far from any touristy spots.. but some might find it a bit too much).
  The location in regards to Paris geographically is so fantastic! With the metro just at the end of the street it was so convenient to get everywhere and even close enough to the Seine, the Marais, the Pompidou etc.. that if you feel like a nice walk it is always an option too.
  Overall though I would highly recommend the company and especially this apartment to anyone going through Paris, it was an absolute delight!
