    Additional Location Information

Staying in the Marais means staying in the midst of nonstop cafes, trendy bars, prominent museums and numerous shopping opportunities, all while remaining very central to various other Paris attractions.

This little gem is located right on rue du Bourg Tibourg, and on the very same street you can find Mariage Freres; a world renowned tea shop salon that is absolutely divine: sample some of their magnificent teas, served by waiters in crisp white linen aprons. Preserving its air of tradition, you will feel like time has stopped once you step inside.

This apartment is only a two minute walk from the notorious Rue des Rosiers, where you can find lavish showrooms for some of Europe's trendiest label together with traditional Jewish Deli's.

There are major museums right in the neighborhood: the Picasso Museum, Carnavalet, Beaubourg, and the Jewish Museum. You can walk to the Louvre in fifteen minutes along the Seine River, or if you want to keep your energy it's just a five-minute metro ride.

The closest metro station, Hotel de Ville, is a major hub which will allow you to visit all of Paris' major attractions with ease.

      Parfait!

Left on 01/13/2013 for a stay in December 2012

The Bourg Suite is a wondeful apartment. It is very cozy and a true 2 bedroom. The beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean and well maintained. The location is one of the best parts in the heart of Le Marais! There is a wonderful market 1 block away with fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, wines, meats and fish. It is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Such a nice surprise for us when we arrived on a Saturday.

      Perfect Paris apartment!

Left on 04/30/2012 for a stay in April 2012

This apartment had everything for a girls' getaway. My friend and I spent 8 days at the Bourg Suite. The location couldn't have been better - near groceries, shops, restaurants, bakeries, museums. Great neighborhood to wander and explore, and near the metro stations so we could easily get to everything else in Paris. Plenty of room for us - separate bedrooms, nice living room, kitchen big enough for us to bring our breakfast in every morning. Washer/dryer, wifi, and free phone calls to U.S. a definite plus. Everything worked well and the owner and agent were both super nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Great location, nice neighborhood, fully equipped apartment. Won

Left on 01/24/2012 for a stay in December 2011

Very nice equiped apartment (free wi-fi, free cable, nice TV, washer and dryer, expresso machine, etc) although furniture, specially the beds and pillows need some improvments. We were in 5 people and I´d recomend the apartment for maximum 4 people.

Very nice location, good market literaly right across the street, excellent bakery right in the corner and close to the subway station. We were with 3 kids and the location was the best we could have.

We recomend the apartment for families and couples.

      Bourg Suite - Sweet!

Left on 01/05/2012 for a stay in June 2011

For two weeks my husband & I shared this apartment with our 18 year old niece. It was a great place to call home. It is convenient to all major sights & Metro stations, large enough so that we did not feel cramped and equiped with all the stuff you want to have -- coffee pot, equipped kitchen, computer and washer and dryer! Would have liked to have had some "training" on washer/dryer but we survived.

I also cannot say enough about Paris for Rent , especially our primary contact Partick. They were great, from the moment I contacted them becuase our flight was diveretd to Toronto and delayed for 24 hours because of a mechanical failure to returning my niece's smart phone. Would definielty use Paris For Rent again.

      Fantastic apartment--Highly Recommended

Left on 08/21/2011 for a stay in July 2011

My wife and I stayed at the Bourg Suite for 10 days in early July 2011 with our 2 teenage daughters, and we highly recommend it.

The location is incredible in the western part of the Marais. A well-stocked urban supermarket, an excellent boulangerie and tea mecca Mariage Freres are on the same block The Hotel de Ville metro (on Paris' busiest line) is a short 4 blocks away. Terrific restaurants, bakeries and the large BHV department store are less than a 5-minute walk. Notre Dame, Ille Saint Louis, Beaubourg (Les Halles/Pompideau) and the Seine are less than 10 minutes away. The street--rue Bourg Tibourg, is a 1-lane street that is infrequently used (due to the traffic patterns leading to the street, which divert through-traffic onto rue Rivoli a block away). Although the area has a busy nightime scene, the traffic is mostly pedestrian, and we never saw cars waiting in traffic on the street (thus, no honking horns).

The apartment is on a high floor--high enough to afford lots of light and decent views, including the back end of Notre Dame is you look out the front windows to the right. The apartment is very small but modern and efficient. It is served by an elevator (so tiny that only 2 people can barely fit, but a luxury in most Paris apartments--particularly a building as small as this one).

The master bedroom faces a courtyard and gets the evening sun. The bed as large (seemed to be a us Queen size) and very comfortable. The room has a huge, tall closet that fit everything that my wife and I packed (really, overpacked) for our 3-week trip, as well as a small desk with a computer (free, but the French keyboard is a bit tricky--it uses azerty rather than Qwerty, so the keys are sometimes in odd places). The wireless internet service (free) was easy to hook into and use.

The second bedroom has 2 comfortable twins, with 2 wall-mounted cabinets for clothes and a high shelf over the door that was large enough to hold all 5 of our suitcases. The bedroom's window faces rue Bourg Tibourg.

The living room has a decent sofa with pull-out bed (although we didn't try that out), chair, glass coffee table and efficient round glass dining table with funky modern but comfortable chairs. The ceiling is very high (maybe as high as 15 feet), with beautiful exposed beams. The 2 large windows face rue Bourg Tibourg, with the morning sun.

The bathroom is divided into 2 small but efficient spaces in the middle of the apartment. One space has the main sink and shower, with a towel warming rack. The shower has both a traditional European hand-held showerhead and a huge "rain"-type showerhead attached to the ceiling above the shower. Unlike many European showers, there is a glass door fully enclosing the shower (ah, the little things...). There was little counter space, but lots of storage for towels and toilettries in the cabinet below the sink and next to the sink. The bathroom had windows with louvres inside the 2 pains that, if opened, would look into the living room. The louvres are shut and we couldn't figure out how to open them, but really we would not have left the open in any event. They did provide some natural light to filter through the louvres, which was nice. The toilet and a small sink are in an adjacent room--very efficient for multi-person use of the bathroom facilities. The sink is built into the wall behind the toilet, and is useful for washing hands but not much more. It is a brilliant use of the space (in fact, a French friend took a photo of it so she could duplicate it in her toilet room at her house).

The kitchen is--you guessed it--small but efficient, and contains all of the modern appliances we needed. We were especially impressed with the washer/dryer, which washes and dries in the same space. The dishwasher istiny but sufficient and effective. The refridgerator is mid-size; more than enough to hold the food and drinks we needed chilled.

There are 2 air conditioning units built into the walls--1 in the master bedroom and 1 in the living room, each with a remote control unit. They worked very well in keeping the rooms cool and removing humidity, even on the hottest days during our stay.

The apartment is quiet--quite amazing considering that it is in a busy central area. All of the windows are new, sturdy, double-paned and, most importantly, about as soundproofed as you can get. The walls are super think (necessary for old world construction of multistory buildings), and have exposed wooden beams in areas.

We loved the apartment and highly recommend it.

Clean comfortable apartment in Marais District

Left on 08/12/2011 for a stay in April 2011

I had wanted to stay in the Marais District - wonderful neighborhood, small shops/cafes. This flat was exactly what we were looking for. It's quite small (although probably not by European standards) but it had two separate bedrooms and a sofabed in the living room. For our three kids, it was probably a bit crowded (when the sofabed is opened, there really is no space in the living room) but the apartment was clean, the bathroom had been renovated recently, and it was a such a great location - just a block away from the main road and a few blocks to the metro. There is an elevator which is nice for your luggage but it is very small and fits 1-2 people at a time. It's a wonderful value for what you get.

      Fantastic apartment!

Left on 05/30/2010 for a stay in May 2010

This was the first time taking my wife and two teenagers to Paris so finding the right apartment that had the right bed configuration, clean, safe and central location, close to the Metro and food, etc. was critical. This apartment is fantastic in every way. The new renovation is great and the apartment is very clean. The computer and wifi provided by the owner were indispensable for researching attractions and weather for the next day. The owner stopped by to adjust the big flat panel TV and he is a super friendly guy. The apartment location was perfect for us - literally across the street from a little grocery store, two blocks from the Hotel de Ville Metro station, a couple of hundred feet from a plaza with several restaurants and a block from an open air market. The neighborhood (Marais) is quiet and very nice and we were never concerned for our safety, even returning late at night.

Emeline from ParisForRent is great to work with and our greeter in Paris, Jennifer, was so nice and accommodating we could not be more pleased with our Paris stay. Jennifer also does personalized tours - highly recommended.

      Perfect Location, Great Apartment

Left on 04/02/2010 for a stay in January 2010

I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to my best friend. It has everything you need - it is spacious, comfortable and spotless. It was recently renovated so everything is new and in working order. The master bedroom has lots of storage, a computer and a very comfie bed. The shower and toilet are in separate rooms which is very handy for everyone trying to get ready in the morning. The shower has a rain head and a heated towel rack - very nice considering we were there January and February. The living room has a pull out couch which is comfortable and a cool dining table for four. The flat screen TV was fabulous, we were there during the Olympics and although we didn't watch it alot it was great to see Canada win the hockey GOLD!! Having free long distance to 120 countries was an added bonus. The kitchen is small by North American standards but it was more than adequate. For the coffee connoisseurs there is even a nexpresso machine. We had six people one night for dinner,no problem. The location is fabulous - there is a grocery store right across the street that has everything you require. There are several restaurants right at the bottom of the street and you are a short stroll away from Les Halles where there are tons of places to dine. There are three patisseries within a 2 minute walk - our favorite was on Rue de Ville Temple. Although the metro is very close we walked everywhere, the neighborhood is safe and we didn't think twice of walking around night or day. You must try PICARDS - it is a great place to buy ready made main courses, appetizers and desserts. Once we found it we really didn't cook that much as the food from there is soooo good. After a long day of walking and sightseeing it was great just to stick something delicious in the oven. Even the soup was excellent!
We will return to Paris, even after 2 months we have not seen everything on our list and when we do this will be our apartment of choice. It doesn't get much better!
