This quiet 65 sq.mt apartment, furnished with taste in an oriental style and fitted with a gorgeous parquet flooring, opens up onto a small foyer leading to all the rooms of the house. The apartment is located in the4th arrondissement, not far from the Picasso Museum, the Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame, theIsle Saint Louis, theCentre Pompidouand Place des Vosges, built by Henry IV at the beginning of the 1600s and constructed in a particular brick and stone manner found only in Paris.
TheMaraisis a typically bourgeois neighbourhood which covers areas of the3rdand 4th arrondissements, on the Rive Droite of Paris (right bank of the Seine).
Most of the buildings in this district are very old. It partly explains the very small streets. This area is full of tales from the past. It is very rich thanks to its historical background and its location. It has been a key part of Paris since almost the very foundation of the city itself.
The closest metro stations are Saint-Sébastien-Froissart, line 8 (at less than 5 minutes by foot), or Saint-Paul (line 1) and Hotel de Ville (lines 1 and 11), equidistant, at 5 minutes by foot from the apartment.

Wow! You can't go wrong with this place if you want to be int he heart of Paris. History, shopping, restaurants, and more all outside of your door. The apartment was plenty of room for this family of four, and the internet was super fast. The floors are sloped, but we learned that this was very common in the Marais. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic time in Paris and were able to access everything we wanted to do and see from this excellent location. The apartment was well located and in a great street. The restaurants were just wonderful and the side streets offer up many delights. You could enjoy your time just staying in the general area. However, the metro is very close by and easy to use. Notre Dame, the Picasso Museum and Sainte Chappelle are within walking distance, as are many other wonderful experiences. Our only complaint with the apartment would be that the furnishings are not practical for everyday living. All in all it was a worthwhile experience and we do not hesitate to recommend Halldis and their agents. Thank you Halldis for making our holiday memorable and trouble free.

Beautiful appartment, exellent choice for those interested in staying in this particular area. Very old authentic building, hence - no elevator, so be ready to take advantage from climbing the spiral stairs all the way up to the attic floor. Appartment is full of antique furniture and things all in good quality.Trendy main bathroom. Very good personnell - friendly and helpful (one thing: the agency guy offered us the service of arranging a taxi for the departure morning - the standard thing for the hotel. Surprise was when it turned out to cost us 5 Euro; could be easily done by ourselves for free. Maybe the agency management should think over the situation - the client will be happy to get this for free, but unhappy to be surprisingly charged 5 Euro for the standard phone call of the agency's stuff - looks very small-mindedly, especially when taking into account that almost any check-in time is treated as out-of-working-hours and thus is beeing additionally charged 20 to 40 Euros)
