Left on 05/23/2013 for a stay in May 2013
Our party of four stayed for three nights at Isla Bonita and we will return. The apartment has been well designed to allow both couples privacy at night, and has great facilities. It was larger than expected and kitted out nicely allowing you to self cater. The surrounding community are great and we really felt a part of the area. The owners were fantastic and even after we mixed up returning the keys to the wrong address and called to let them know, the owners were more concerned that we had had a good stay. We will be back again.

Everyone knows how romantic and magical Paris can be however that experience is even better with the perfect accomadition. From making enquiries to booking and payments, Tito (one of the owners) handled everything very professiosally.Quick to respond to any request during the booking stage as well as during our stay. Tito has good grasp of English which is very convenient and not always the case when booking OS. The best way to describe the service provided is honourable and honest. My husband and I stayed for 10 days at Isla Bonita and found everything very comfortable and clean. The overall size of aparment for two people was more than sufficient. The longe - kitchen area could easily accomadite four or more people. I must say the Sofa lounge was huge for relaxing on and very comfortable( was not used for sleeping so I can not comment on the comfort). Bedroom size and closet space was fine. The queen bed had comfort galore, great matress and all linen crisp and near new. The apartment was so comfortable one could be almost tempted to stay in longer than you should. Even though we loved the apartment what we loved most was the location and ambience of Ile Saint Louis. This was our fourth trip to Paris and by far the best location we have stayed in. If you are considering Ile St Louis do not hesitate. The extra it may cost because of centrality far out ways everything else. The moment you leave the apartment and walk out the door you are in the hub of some of the best and most loved sights of Paris and guess what you get to see, feel, smell and experience it over and over again each time you leave and come home. Oh la la .I would go back to Isla Bonita in a heartbeat. The only negative I can say is when I read information about Isla Bonita over 12 months ago it stated that the apartment on the first floor had a lift. However it doesn't. The Building has a the lift but it does not go to Isla Bonita.I would suggest people with mobility problems have this clarified.

Indianapolis, IN, USAI would give Isla Bonita 10 stars if I could!
Left on 04/23/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Perfect! This is the only word I can use to describe our stay at Isla Bonita.
The pictures of the apartment do not do it justice. It has a very expansive, open feel despite its limited square footage. My friend and I had plenty of room to spread out and the pocket doors allowed us to both have private sleeping quarters at night (although I scored the best one - with the windows overlooking the street!).
The owners have thoughtfully furnished and outfitted the apartment with a traveller's every need in mind. A thorough "User's Guide" to the apartment documents how to operate all the technologies and appliances (including an awesome Bose sound system), and offers recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area and throughout the city. Beds are very comfortable with high-end linens. Kitchen has everything you need, including tea lights and matches.
The apartment is as centrally located as you can get, and whether you're walking or using the Metro, everything you might like to see is close by.
We immediately fell in love with Ile Saint Louis. Who wouldn't? Our mornings began with a trip down the stairs and 12 feet to the right for fresh croissants. Happy hour supplies were secured just as effortlessly with a cheese shop immediately below, a grocery market across the street, a wine store down the block and even a flower market to provide some local color. Need something fabulous to wear? Boutiques abound!
Don't miss aux anysetiers Du Roy Restaurant - the restaurant on the corner. We enjoyed it so much we ate there twice.
My only regret? We only met one of the owners, Isaac. He was so helpful and welcoming, and I wish I would have had the chance to thank each and every one of the owners in person. They are attentive and responsive, and have done an amazing job creating the perfect vacation apartment.

It was the first time I stay in an apartment and it was a excellent experience.

Victoria, CanadaOur Paris Neighbourhood
Left on 01/06/2013 for a stay in November 2012
Our Paris Neighbourhood
It is just over a month since we finished our nine day stay at Isla Bonita and we are so missing our Paris Neighbourhood. Staying at Isla Bonita is not simply staying at an exquisite, modern, Parisian apartment – it is the opportunity to become part of the Neighbourhood. One never has to leave I’lle Saint Louis or even Rue Saint Louis en I’lle to find everything that you need to enjoy your stay. Open the windows and you can see the small grocery store across the street. Just below your window is Cremerie – La Ferme Saint aubin (with great wines as well) and two doors down is the patisserie (every morning we made a quick trip for â€pain au chocolat’). Up Rue Saint Louis and around the corner are a pharmacy and an organic wine store that has wine tastings every Saturday – got to know the owner quite well over the nine days.. Just down the street on the next corner is a wonderful little restaurant, Aux anysetiers du Roy, where we had the best two dinners in all of our time in Paris – great food, wonderful service and warm atmosphere and a one minute walk from the apartment. On the street there are also a flower shop, a shop with herbs and pate, an olive oil store and numerous other shops, restaurants, bistros and cafes. What else do you need?
We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, having taken Eurostar from London. The apartment is easily accessible, just two stops on the B RER line (Saint Michel/Notre Dame) from Gare du Nord, train station and is a short 5 – 10 minute walk from RER/Metro station past Notre Dame. We picked the key up at the Hotel Saint Louis and on Sunday, Tito stopped by to give us the â€official’ tour of the apartment and how to operate the various appliances, etc. As we were flying out of Paris, we simply took the B – RER to Charles de Gaul airport – a 30 minute ride – again the easy access. We found that the apartment suited our needs perfectly.
Situated on Ille Saint Louis, in the middle of the Seine, in the heart of Paris, Isla Bonita is walking distance to many of the sights of Paris. As my wife was participating in a writer’s workshop set in the cafes of the Marais (www.Paris Café Writing Workshop), the apartment was only a 25 – 30 minute walk to the cafes where the workshop was based. It is also walking distance to the Latin Quarter, Saint Germaine du Pres, Montparnesse, the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, etc.
Our review could enumerate all of the various positive points that are set out in previous reviews with which we agree.
Since 2006, we have travelled throughout the British Isles, to Venice, Florence (twice), Rome, a walking trip in Tuscany, a biking trip in the Loire Valley, Santa Fe – New Mexico and twice to New York and twice to Paris before this trip which also include four nights in Edinburgh and a week in London. This trip was the third trip in four years to Paris for my wife and myself. This time we wanted to experience living in Paris as an Parisian. The nine days at Isla Bonita is probably the best travel experience we have had of any of our trips because we had the time and opportunity to become part of the Neighbourhood. We are already trying to determine when we can return to Paris and to Isla Bonita and this time for at least a month if not more.
Previous reviews have enumerated all of the various positive points about Isla Bonita which are the reasons why we choose to stay at Isla Bonita. We would prefer, however, to explain what it was about our stay that makes us want to come back. Hopefully, our comments provides that explanation.
Thank you, Tito. -

MaltaFantastic location and very comfortable!
Left on 12/12/2012 for a stay in December 2012
We had spend two nights at this apartment with our two young children at the beginning of December. We can recommend the place to anybody who likes to travel on their own, and prefers becoming "a local" for few days rather than staying in a hotel.
The location of the apartment is perfect, close to the main tourist attractions in Paris. It is few minutes from two different metro stations. There are numerous restaurants and cafes nearby. We loved the little bakery and cheese shop right below the apartment, and a little grocery store across the street which were all open even on Sunday and the grocery store until late at night. It was convenient to have fresh baguettes and croissants every morning.
The apartment is chic, modern and comfortable with all latest amenities and technical equipment. Wifi and the internet phone for free international calls worked perfectly. Beds were very good, we slept well and we did not hear any noise from outside even when there was a van or a scooter going on the street.
The owner Tito had been very friendly and helpful and available on the phone, ready to give advice.
We had a great time and I already recommended the place to our friends who plan to travel to Paris in spring.

After four unforgettable weeks in La Isla Bonita we just wanted to say thank you!!!
Thank you for having provided a great apartment in such a beautiful location, close to everything; for having been flexible and considerate of our circumstances; for having been professional and business-like; for your good nature; for having made us feel welcome.
What we wanted the most from this trip was to feel a bit Parisian and that is exactly what we got.
It was sad to leave but we hope to be back again sometime in the (not too distant) future.
One final time... Thank you!

Sydney, Australiagreat apartment right in the heart of Paris
Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We loved the apartment! Such a fabulous location: easy walking distance to St Germain and le Marais, right behind the Notre Dame, with a greengrocer, bakery and cheese shop at your doorstep and some nice cafes, restaurants and shops nearby as well. We arrived in the morning (night train from Venice) but early check-in was no problem, we picked up the key from the hotel opposite and just freshened up a bit so we could go out again while the apartment was being cleaned. Communication with the owners was very good, the apartment was very well presented and appointed, it was clean, with very comfy beds, and all the mod cons you'll need for a short or long stay. The free phone calls were a bonus, the internet worked well, and ...well, just can't fault it. It was a bit smaller than we had expected, but great nonetheless and big enough for the 4 of us. Highly recommend! We looked around for days, so if you have too, save yourself the headache and just book it. A little on the pricey side, but worth it, trust me ;-)

I love this little apartment the area is sensational and while it is hard to get aware from all the tourists etc and actually feel like your in Paris then this is for you. The cheese shop is so good it is impossible to describe. Lots of little galleries and shops. The living area of apartment is huge for Paris standards the bedroom can be a bit stuffy in middle summer but very comfortable. The amenities all good and the owners also great and very easy to deal with. I will definitely be staying here again and recommending it to all my friends!!

Boulder, COBest location in Paris - perfect apartment
Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My daughter (age 10) and I loved this apartment.
The location is perfect! The Ile St Louis is very charming, and right in the heart of Paris. We took the Batobus (a slow water taxi) on the Seine more often than we used the metro! And of course did a lot of walking.
The apartment itself is well-equipped, and both the bed and the sofa bed were very comfortable. The internet service and a/c worked perfectly. We liked that there is a door to close off the livingroom/kitchen area (my daughter slept on the sofabed, so this allowed her to have privacy). The kitchen had everything we could need, and there is a cheese shop, bakery, and convenience store/small grocer all within steps of the front door. Yes, the stairwell usually smells like cheese - but that just adds to the atmosphere! We actually liked it. The best ice cream - Berthillon, and gelato - Amorino, are about a block away.
Tito was very kind, helpful, and communicative, and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. He has a relationship with the hotel across the street, and we were able to store our luggage there before we could check in (we arrived early morning). They also helped us upon departure with a car to the airport.
"Excellent" isn't good enough to describe the service, location, and comfort - if there were more stars available, I would give more!! For an apartment with 2 separate sleeping rooms, it's actually a good value for the area. I gave a lower rating for cleanliness because there are some touches that could be improved (note that they may have been rushing to clean the apartment since we arrived early, and also note that I may be especially picky on this count because of my previous career working in hotels).
Overall it was an excellent experience, we would highly recommend it, and we would absolutely stay here again! -

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Isla Bonita. The apartment is right on Rue Saint-Louis. We watched the people go by each am, brought wonderful croissants and coffee to our lovely kitchen/breakfast area, and slept well from the first day in the well-appointed bedroom with great bed. The wi-fi always worked, the folks at the Hotel Saint-Louis were very helpful, and the owners of the apt. were responsive to minor problems. Would return in an instant. Only suggestion: it could use a woman's touch.

LondonA very Parisian affair
Left on 07/03/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Location of the apartmet is at the heart of Paris, on the small island directly behind Notre Dame. It's busy during the day when tourists come to buy ice cream but quiet during most evenings. There is a supermarket directly across the road (with a very friendly shop keeper) and a cheese shop and bread shop downstairs to buy breakfast each morning. If you're using public transport from the airport or gare du nord train station, then the RER B line has a station within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance (Notre Dame - St Michele) which is handy if you don't have heavy bags. There are nice restaurants nearby, the best one we found on this trip was on the corner at the beginning of the street just behind notre dame, with glass windows.
The apartment itself is on the first floor (there is small lift but we didn't try it) with a short flight of stairs (slight cheese smell from below - very paris!). The pictures on their website was accurate. There is quite lot of light that comes through the large french windows in the living room ad the furnishings are very pretty and stylish, and it was all very clean.
The toilet and bathroom is separate which is handy for group travellers. The sofa bed is a proper double sized and firm mattress kind, which was very comfortable for us. The main bedroom has a large double bed and lots of storage space with a window looking into a light shaft. It is a very high spec Paris apartment and good value for money when compared to simiar quality hotels in Paris. The toilet door gets stuck sometimes but it just needs to be lifted up by the door handle a little bit so it wasn't a big deal. The wifi worked perfectly and the tv had sat tv with english channels (news).
The services was excellent, with quick responses to emails and secure payments by credit card to paypal. Sam who met us was very friendly and available for any questions. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in Paris like a local. -

Our family of 4 adults enjoyed this gracious apartment. One of the owners met us shortly after our arrival and told us all about the apartment and additional helpful information about the surrounding area. Very clean and modern with all the modern appliances one could wish for.
We loved finding a cheese shop just down stairs and a small market across the street. Access to all the great beauties of Paris began by stepping out the front door. The Seine and the Notre Dame only a short walk away. -

My husband and I stayed at Isla Bonita, on the beautiful Ile Saint Louis, for 5 nights.
The location of the apartment is fantastic and the apartment itself is truly lovely. The owners, Tito, Isaac, & Sam have spent much time and effort, ensuring Isla Bonita is truly a "home away from home" for their visitors. We want to thank you, Tito & Isaac, for being so attentive to our needs and going over and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
We had a wonderful time in Paris and staying on Ile Saint Louis was the perfect spot! The flat is convenient to journey outward to see all the sites a visitor should see (especially first timers to Paris). We enjoyed walking and discovering Ile Saint Louis, little gardens and parks in nearby surrounding areas, and coming around a corner and viewing some new site that literally took your breath away. It was fantastic to be so close to the Seine and in the middle of Paris. And the architecture - fabulous!
On Isaac's recommendation, I walked over to Place des Vosges - beautiful! The flowering linden trees in the square were absolutely stunning!. The sun had just peeped out behind the clouds when I arrived, and the whole square was glowing in the freshness after the rain. i just spent some time in the park, just sitting in awe, and enjoying it.
Also, we loved using the Batobus! This water taxi was a great and inexpensive way to travel on the Seine to get to the major visitor attractions quickly. We bought a two-day pass and used it both days. It was very easy to access & dropped you off, on the quay, at the foot of most major visitor sites.
Thank you again for sharing Isla Bonita with your guests. It is truly a gem. -

Lovely apartment, with all you might need, on the main street of a charming isle. I chose the property after reading the glowing reviews on multiple websites, and couldn't agree more. Sam arrived to check on us shortly after arrival, and couldn't have been nicer. The group is available for issues by phone 24/7, but fortunately we didn't have any negatives. They or the concierge at the Hotel Ile St. Louis will arrange shuttle service to/from the airport, and market is steps away. Patisserie, market and boutique personnel were kind and friendly.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay in Paris. The apartment is so central to all the city wean aged to walk everywhere. Our children, 8 and 11, loved the location on an island and the croissants from the more "local" boulangerie at the eastern end of the street. While you're aware of the cheese shop below in the stairwell, the cheeses were amazing!

We had a great stay at this apartment. It was perfectly situated on the Ile Saint Louis, minutes away from Notre Dame and metro station and RER. It is on the island's main street where all the specialty shops are located, chocolate store, little supermarket, cheese store, toy store, creperies, ice cream... The street is the old fashioned narrow alley. Though it could be crowded with Tourists from all over, it quiets down after dinner time.
The apartment itself is perfect size and provides everything you need. It was remodeled with modern decor. Spacious for a family and comfortably sleeps 3-4 people. The owners provided everything we needed before and after we arrived. I would stay there again. -

Service was excellent. Tito was great about promptly answering all our questions by email prior to our arrival and after we checked-in he made sure we had everything we needed and knew how to use everything. Apartment is in a super location, very central to walking just about everywhere and a fun place to come home to at the end of the day. It has a well-stocked kitchen, nice-sized shower, comfy bed and a large open dining/living area. Two TVs, Bose sound system and free wifi are all pluses too. Busy street during the day makes for great people-watching opportunities but then really quiets down at night. Everything you might need is close by - small grocery store, wine shop, boulangerie for your baguettes, and a great cheese shop just downstairs (this can make the hallway a little aromatic at times!)
Best - Fabulous central location for exploring Paris on foot
Least - Early morning noise from garbage collection -

It was a wonderful place to come back to every night after exhausting days exploring wonderful (if not freezing!) Paris. The apartment is close to absolutely averything, it's safe, well heated has all the modern appliances you will need for a short stay. There are many, many restaurants from 1 min walk to 5mins walk - all were excellent our fave was Mon ami (directly opposit the apartment) it was a shame we only went in on our last night. The owners make themselves available to answer any questions you have so i would suggest having all your queries ready so you can get the best out of your time here. I would certainly stay again when next I stay in Paris. Thanks Sam you were wonderful.

My daughters and I just returned from a week stay. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos and was very clean. It had everything we needed with a great location. We loved the proximity to Notre Dam and used that as our landmark (if needed) to always find our way "home." Sam was wonderful and so helpful with everything - making a dinner reservation and booking our airport shuttle. He was also patient with me not knowing how to run the European appliances and came over twice on short notice to help me out. We loved the location on the island - the street was busy (but never noisy) with pedestrians during the day and then thinned out in the evening. There is a market just across the street, a stinky cheese shop just below (with the smell permeating into the stair well) a bakery doors down, and most importantly for my children - 2 great gelato/ice cream stores on the same street and a chocolate store also across the street. A child's heaven! The nearest metro is a bit of a walk but nothing insurmountable even for my children - walking is necessary because after all, this is Paris. A huge thank you to Sam and his friend, Mathilda, for help avoiding the lines at the Louvre! We had a great stay and enjoyed the apartment's amenities and location. Thanks again for all of your help, Sam.

The stay in this apartment was amazing. We couldn't have asked for anything more. My mother and I were in Paris for a week, and we definitely found the right place to stay. After what seemed like hours and hours of searching and comparing apartments online, we finally decided on Isla Bonita. It was bit of a leap of faith, as there weren't a ton of reviews about this place on the web. I am so glad we chose it. It is in an amazing location on the Ile St. Louis-just steps from Notre Dame and the Seine. With Metro and Batobus stops nearby, a grocery store across the street and a bakery and a cheese shop right beside it, the access to everything was perfect. Not to mention the world's best ice cream just a few doors down at Berthillion. Having a washer and dryer was very handy, and the kitchen was great. We ate most meals at the apartment because it was so relaxing and convenient. The place also offered privacy in that both the bedroom and the living room (which had a fold out sofa) had doors that could be closed off. The unit does have air conditioning, but we didn't need it during our stay. A wonderful bonus that we didn't even realize when reserving the apartment is that you can make free calls to the U.S. (as well as other countries) from the house phone! It was so nice to be able to connect with folks from home without having to worry about racking up charges. The WiFi was very reliable, too. No problems at all. Upon our arrival, Tito came to check on us and make sure we didn't have any questions. He was so friendly and helpful. To sum it up, after visiting other areas of Paris during the day, we were so happy to come back to our "home” on the island. It was the perfect apartment. Don't hesitate to stay here. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I along with our children (6 and 15 years) spent a wonderful week at Isla Bonita. The recently renovated apartment is modern and very well kept. The kitchen is well-appointed and we were able to make our meals easily. There are shops (groceries, meat, bakery etc.) at walking distance. It is centrally located so you can visit many places by foot. We spent many hours walking and visiting the sites in Paris. We used the BateauBus to get us to different places along the Seine. Tito was very helpful and friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. Many thanks to you for a great stay in the heart of Paris.

Kennett Square, PennsylvaniaLive like a Parisian in quaint Ile Saint Louis
Left on 08/04/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Wonderful location, one floor above a pedestrian street in lovely Ile Saint Louis island in the middle of Paris. Floor to ceiling windows in living area allowed us to sit on the windowsill and sip wine, watching the world go by just below. The neighborhood drew me to this rental and it was everything and more that I had hoped.
Fully equipped down to shampoo and soap, nothing was overlooked. Vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, full kitchen setup, CD player, hair dryer. Clean as a whistle.
The decor is a bit spartan but it was simple to keep it clean and we found it delightful overall. The small size is alleviated by smart design and good storage...the living/dining/kitchen area is breezy and open and made us feel less constrained than the usual Paris hotel room which is about 10 feet square. The bath was spotless and the shower was very nice. Plenty of towels.
No complaints, we loved it! A bit more pricey than a hotel room and worth every extra penny to live like a Parisian for a few days. I would definitely return! Thanks Tito! -

We stayed at the apartment for a sunny week in June and had a good time. The flat is well located, totally renovated, with brand news appliances.
The neighbourhood is fantatic, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby - and the best icecream in town just a few metres form your door.
We intend to come back as soon as we can... -

PerthLittle gem in the heart of Paris
Left on 07/23/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We had been in Paris before and this appartment is the best we ever stayed at. The location is perfect, St-Louis is in the heart of Paris but away from the noise and pollution. The appartment is great, high end appliances (Bose sound system,...), and very comfortable. Little details such as luxuary shampoo and conditionner in the bathroom (big bottles not tiny single use samples), butter in the fridge, etc make a big difference, and make you feel at home. In the street, the bakery is next door and the commodity store is opposite. You can taste the best ice-cream in Paris (and probably not just in Paris) at the creperies and cafes in the street and there are lots of boutiques around. Notre-Dame is 100m away, you can walk almost everywhere or catch the "bateau-bus" on the Seine and the metro is nearby. I really liked that the owner Tito replied immediately to my emails. Tito is very nice and very helpful. We all want to go back to Paris and stay at this appartment again.

Perth AustraliaPerfect apartment, Wonderful location

We had the pleasure of renting this brand new, architect designed and fully renovated apartment. The photos show the uncluttered modern look which was such a joy instead of the over furnished apartments we have so often rented. The shower is huge, the bed superbly comfortable with lovely pillows. There is a very good quality sofa bed as well. No expense has been spared in this apartment. Tito was most attentive in dealing with some teething problems and so kind with endless information and advice. The street has a lovely village feel with every shop you could want for making marvelous meals (the kitchen is fully equipped to the max) or picnics. The best butcher I have ever seen is 50 meters down the
street and there is a good supermarket right across the road. Also, one of TA's highest rated
restaurants in Paris is in the street! (we didn't know this at the time). Of course the river is just around the corner. Congratulations Tito, we can't wait to return. -

North BayIsla Bonita Is Terrific!

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Isla Bonita, and we loved it.
The location is awesome. Quiet street with great restaurants and shops right outside. Within walking distance to many attractions (ie. Notre Dame, Louvre, St. Germain, etc), and 5 min walk to metro to take you to the rest.
The apartment is exactly like the photos, as everything is brand new. We were the second guests to stay since construction and were very impressed with the ammenities.
Correspondence prior to arrival was via email, and was timely and professional. When we arrived we were greeted by the property manager who stayed for almost an hour to show us everything in the apartment, and provided suggestions for our stay.
If you're looking for a clean, new apartment in the heart of Paris that has all the ammenities you could need, look no further!
