You cannot get more central than our apartment!
Sitting alongside Notre Dame Cathedral on the 'Ile de la cite' (Island) you are surrounded by the tranquil Seine River with unforgettable views on the beautiful Hotel de Ville (city hall).
It's the oldest preserved area of Paris with cobblestone streets and remnants of a Roman past, when Paris was born from the 'Parisi Tribe' which first settled on the island.
The center of Paris is best seen on foot, but the apartment is just steps away from bike, bus, subway, train, car and even boat transportation! Yes, really! There are bike rental stations along the street where you can rent bikes by the 1/2hr (http://en.velib.paris.fr/) and now there is even an electric car rental station (http://www.autolib.eu/) on the corner of our street! The bus line #38 stops near the apartment (stop # Cite - Palais de la Justice) and the train station St-Michel Notre Dame - RER B Train Line (direct to Charles de Gaulle aiport or to Orly Airport with a transfer) and the subway station Cité - Line 4 (fuschia) are just steps away. Lastly, the boat buses stop on either side of the island and it's a fun way to see the city from a different perspective.

Delaware Twp, NJSimply perfect!
Left on 03/18/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This studio apartment is ideally located, in a safe and quiet neighborhood in a secure building with an elevator within walking distance to the Metro, RER and many attractions. The apartment is bright and clean. Open beams, wood floors and décor add rustic charm; large windows display a magnificent view of the Seine and the adjacent bank. Upscale cabinetry and modern kitchen and bathroom amenities guarantee a comfortable stay. The very comfortable Murphy bed along with the Laura ashley bedding and a down comforter ensure a good night’s sleep. The hosts, Christine-Marie and Marc, are charming and eager to help make your stay in Paris comfortable and enjoyable. This apartment exceeded my expectations and I am looking forward to staying here again. This was a great way to experience Paris! The description of the accommodations is accurate and the photos a true reflection. I highly recommend this studio apartment; it was a pleasure to stay here!

We would not hesitate to recommend Marc and Marie-Christine's suite to anyone wanting to experience historic Paris in the 18th century, as you explore the Paris of today. The suite had everything we needed and just enough space without the cost of a large apartment. The view onto the Seine and the lights at night were wonderful. Don't hesitate. This one is a winner!

Left on 02/11/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We can highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a more personal and local introduction to Paris. The apartment is centrally located, close to all places of interest and must have one of the best views in Paris. The hosts are extremely friendly and obliging. Everything you need is provided for in the apartment including washing machine and dryer, wifi, computer, guide books and much more. Your hosts will also provide many recommendations to some really great restaurants in the city. Don't stay in a hotel, stay in one of the most beautifully decorated and centrally located apartments in Paris.
We will definitely be back. -

We have just left this apartment after having 6 lovely nights there. The apartment is spotless and the fittings are all of good quality and taste.
The view over The Seine towards L'Hotel de Ville is superb. Sitting with a nice red wine in the extremely comfy Italian chairs watching the boats go by was bliss.
Marie-Christine and her husband were there on our arrival and took us through the workings of appliances, nearby restaurants, metro/rer stations and a whole lot more.
The building is secure, having 2 electrically locked doors/gates before you get to your room, but also in a nice area so security actually never felt an issue.
It is literally 3 minutes walk from Cité metro stop, and the apartment building has a lift (one person at a time!). The location is great. Notre Dame around the corner, le Marais opposite, short walk to the Louvre, metro stops virtually on your doorstep and you can see the batobus stop opposite (so you can see if you've just missed one!). It's also a nice walk along the Seine to Eiffel Tower.
Back to the apartment...it is quite small, but the pull down bed is easy to use and once upright, there is plenty of room. The 2 chairs are, if anything, too comfy. I could have easy fallen asleep in them. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and even had coffee/sugar/olive oil/balsamic vinegar whilst we were there. The bathroom is tasteful and there are plenty of towels, it has no bath but a nice large shower. There was also an iron and ironing board, kettle, coffee maker, hair dryer, washing machine/dryer, microwave and hob, and cleaning products for dishes/glasses.
The wifi works well too (albeit a very very long password!)
There is also a flat screen TV, DVD player and clock.
I think I've put everything ;)
Finally, I'm always worried about leaving security deposits when I go anywhere. There are many unscrupulous people in the world. There is no need to worry here. Marie-Christine and her husband met us at the apartment on our leaving, at a time to suit, and handed us our deposit straight back. They were also extremely quick to answer emails.
Can't recommend this place enough.
If you need a tip for a great cheapish restaurant 10 mins away, don't hestitate to contact. It was so good we went twice (it's already in tripadvisor's top 10) -

Left on 12/09/2012 for a stay in September 2012
My husband and I traveled to Paris for our 30th wedding anniversary which was a dream come true for me. I have always wanted to go to there, since my love affair with Paris began in my High School french class. We were never able to go until this year and my expectations were huge! When we arrived at this property and were greeted by the owners, I knew then, that our stay was going exceed even my highest expectations! It was truly surreal to see the Seine right outside our windows, and it was indescribable to be staying on Isle de la Cite where Notre Dame was literally around the corner, and wonderful cafes and shops drew you in! The metro was a block away, and the batobus stop was just across the river. (Skip the Bateaux Mouches, and travel the river, the way the Parisians do)!
The accommodations were impeccably clean and of the very best quality! Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. The Patisserie they recommended was just around the corner and was "Tres Magnifique"! Croissants and pastries to die for!
As you can tell, we can't wait to go back some day and yes...stay once again, at our little slice of heaven on the Seine! -

Review: Every once in a while you get lucky enough to do something right, or to stay somewhere where the host has gotten it completely right. I spent two full weeks at Marie Christine and Marc's extremely well located and well appointed pied a terre, and did not want to leave, which is of course the true measure of a trip's success. The location is completely unique as a residential, one way street with unobstructed and panoramic views of the Seine, which make the diminuitive unit feel like it goes on for ever. The decor and amenities are like something you'd find in architectural Digest, and of the highest quality, and very well maintained and clean. The kitchen was stocked with water, salad fixings, coffee, tea, and every utensil you would need to make a romantic meal and have, honestly, one of the best tables in Paris. That said, the apartment is so centrally located, you are minutes, no seconds, away from the principal neighborhoods of Paris...the Marais, Ile St Louis, St. Germain, Latin quarter...so conveniently located, I hardly ventured on to the metro at all and was able to pop back in frequently whenever a nap or a snack was needed. The bed is a Murphy bed, which I was skeptical of, but ended up being one of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. Top this off with hosts that are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Extremely helpful on logistics, they were eager to help with Restaurant recommendations and reservations, as well as taxi arrangements. If you are lucky enough to book this unit, congratulations: you are in for a terrific stay in Paris!

Spectacular! After a delayed arrival from the airport by train, ( would not recommend if you are bringing more than one piece of carry on luggage..lots of steps in the metro. Take a taxi or a bus.) I was whisked into a sumptuous, clean, tasteful Parisian studio, with views that are imbedded in my memory. Marie Christine and Marc were there with warm smiles, hospitality and patience(after my train delay) to welcome me to Paris. They're extremely helpful and only a phone call or email away.
I was here solo and felt safe at night, especially on the Ile de la Cite(which the apt is on) and Ile Saint Louis. On the bridge going over to Ile Saint Louis(you can see to the right out of the window) there were musicians early in the evening. You can hear them when you open the windows. Quite enchanting. The islands quaint street, cafes and shops were my favorite in all of Paris. Notre Dame is 5 minute walk away. Musicians play there as well into the evening. This fantastic studio is truly in the middle of everything you want in Paris. The metros and water taxis are all within about 5-10 min walk.
Surprising fact to English speakers: English is not a widely spoken language in all of Europe. I found everyone to be quite friendly, especially of you attempt to speak French with a smile:). Take the time to learn the key French phrases(write them down on a little card if you need). You would expect a foreign visitor to learn the same if they visited the us, wouldn't you?
I can't wait to go back! Merci beau coup Marie Christine and Marc for you hospitality and giving me a wonderful place to explore Paris. -

Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The apartment is beautifully furnished, clean, and very comfortable despite being small. The bed folds up into the wall and is therefore out of the way during the day. The chairs are comfy and face the windows which have an unbelievable view. The building also has an elevator. Just an outstanding place! Thanks Marie!

My wife and I stayed in the apartment for a week in May. What a wonderful place! Firstly, we want to thank Marie Christine and Marc. They were impeccable hosts, and clearly have been very thoughtful about making the apartment as comfortable and well-equipped as possible. They were very accommodating, and made our stay very smooth and easy. The elevator makes access easy. The shower is the largest we've found in Europe. The apartment may look small on the website, but Marie Christine and Marc have been very thoughtful about luggage storage, layout, and amenities, and we had absolutely no trouble with the size. The location is great - close to Notre Dame, of course, but also close to markets, restaurants, the Metro, and the RER.. The neighborhood is quiet and interesting. The location is relatively central, providing easy access to most of Paris. The view is wonderful; we enjoyed picking up food and wine at the markets for dinner, sitting at the table looking out on the river and waving at the boats. The night views are especially nice. We would unhesitatingly stay here again, and give the apartment our highest recommendation. It really made our stay in Paris worry-free and easy. Merci beaucoup, Marie Christine et Marc!

Woodford NSW AustraliaThe Perfect Paris apartment?
Left on 06/13/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We wanted a Paris experience even when we entered our apartment, or else you could be in a motel near your house. Well, this apartment is it! We met our very friendly hosts who proudly showed us around their newly renovated apartment. Of course it is not large but does fit the bill with the pull down bed. All fittings and linen, stoves, fridge etc are new and of the top shelf! The two chairs seen in the photo are magnificent and the bed is a dream to sleep on. It is on the third floor with many winding steps, but a lift is on hand and the whole building is secure and locked. Not that we ever felt unsafe in Paris. The view from the windows takes your breath away. Look down to the road and see how Parisians can park a car with two inches front and rear between cars!/ Watch people walk by the river and see all the river boats full of people cruise by and gaze up, enviously assuming you must be a millionaire! The bridges, or ponts are in full view as is the glorious Hotel de Ville opposite. Walk a short distance to the restaurants, and here is a tip! Learn some French phrases and try them out. you will be a little bit more warmly received. If you find a good restaurant, go again. We did and the waiter tipped me about four fingers of French cognac and refused payment. Metro stations are also close at hand. We opted out of any of the Passes and just bought a garnet of ten tickets for around 12 euro. Try a train trip to Vernon from St Lazare and see Monet's garden. You could find cheaper accommodation further out, but how often will you come here? Take the plunge and go for what could be the best spot in Paris that will steal a piece of your heart forever!

Stayed for 10 days in this compact and comfortable apartment on the north side of Ile de la Cite. The location is perfect with a beautiful view across the river at night to Hotel de Ville. There are multiple bistros and cafes around the corner in both directions, Notre Dame and St Chappelle are a couple blocks away, there are several metro stops within a few minutes walk, and just across the bridge on Ile St Louis there is a long central street of shops and restaurants. The equipment is super-well-equipped, it even has a small washing machine and free wireless, and the owners (Marc and Marie-Christine) were extremely kind and helpful to us and gave us lots of advice on what to see and where to go. I hope to return next year! Highly recommended.

We (me and my wife) stayed in the studio 8 days out of our recent two weeks visit to France. We rented it a bit late, so it was available in parts of 5 and 3 days for our travel period, but it was OK with us since we planned several days trip to Lyon anyway.
The studio is a new offer from Marie-Christine and Marc, they just completely renew it and we were one of the first guests in the apartment. The studio is not big, but it is very efficiently equiped and organised (e.g. we have never used Murphy's bed before, and found it rather convenient: the bed itself is comfortable for sleeping. at least not worse than most of hotels' beds, and when it is stored, you have enough space in the day time).
All the things you may need during the stay are provided and the fast spending ones with some excess, so you should not worry you can run out of it, including e.g. a bottled mineral water which is better for drinking and making coffee (it was a nice surprise for us that the water was also provided as well as coffee, sugar and salt). We also liked the washing machine (with drying possibility that is quite practical) and iron, which both help us especially during the second part of our stay. So we feel us absolutely like at home in the studio. And when we visited to Lyon between two parts of our stay, we often refered to the studio as to our Paris place and felt really as back to home for the second part of our stay.
Sure, everyone has different priorities, but for us such type of accomodation is preferable - for the price of a room in a moderate 3 stars Paris hotel you get a signinficantly higher level of comfort and more options to choose - you may try a life of real Parisians, e.g. buy some food from a farmers' market and cook it yourself if you like or just taste different types of farmer's cheese with a wine as we've done. And don't forget the location of the studio in the very heart of Paris, just several steps from Notre Dame de Paris (and it means in a walking distance to many other tourist destinations: museums, sights, good restaurants, and so on) and a perfect view to Seine river and Hotel de Ville, so we took pictures again and again and sometimes saw that people from the street took pictures of the building we were in, since it is historical by itself being built in 17th century).
Marie-Christine and Marc help very readily with some arrangements is you need. They have advised us some good museums and sights, recommended us several good restaurants nearby and helped to book one when we asked, as well as ordered a taxi for us back to the airport. And in addition, they arranged us some pleasant surprises at the begining of each of the parts of our stay - the first time it were flowers and two fresh brioches and the second time it was new flowers and a wine bottle. Sure we appreciated it very much!
By the way, as we can judge by the description at tripadvisor, everything in the studio is arrange in a way similar to their other offer, which is situated in the same building just one storey below the studio we stayed in (we stayed on the 3rd floor, but the building has a small lift/evevator, so it is OK to get the luggage to the apartment and to go up and down, especially for elderly persons). So I believe if you stay in the second studio you get the same perfect experience.
And the last remark is that we met Marie-Christine and Marc first time when we travelled to Paris in October 2011 in a bigger company jointly with my mother-in-law and my sister-in-lawer and stayed in the same building in a bigger apartment from a different owner, but Marie-Christine and Marc were our greeters for the stay as well, and we felt their hospitality first time during that stay, which makes us quite happy to rent their studio, when we decided to be back to Paris again. And I'm sure we will try to do it again if we are happy enough to be back to Paris in the future.
I really like to thank Marie-Christine and Marc again for their perfect service and hospitality!
