The living area is an open-plan expanse of cool wooden flooring and white walls, dotted with comfortable modern-style furniture and accessories. This room is bathed in the bright Parisian light that flows in from artful skylights and windows. The ceiling is beautifully wood-trussed and there is a large screen TV.
The dining area adjoins the living area and so benefits from it's bright aspect. A sculptural...Read more

Barrington, IllinoisPerfect location

Our family of six enjoyed a wonderful trip to Paris and Normandy. The entire experience with Paris for Rent was smooth. We were greeted at the airport and transported to our apartment. The representative was waiting to go over apartment details. The apartment was large, clean and well-appointed. It is a great location! Very close to the metro, taxi stands, and walking distance to most of our destinations. Many restaurants right in the neighborhood from which to chose.

Chicago, IllinoisThis Is a Wonderful Paris apartment!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely and spacious apartment. It is beautifully furnished, and has high-quality appliances throughout. On the top floor of a very well-maintained building, it has great windows and skylights. A very peaceful retreat from the noise and bustle of Paris in general and Blvd St. Germain in particular, it is also very convenient to many fine restaurants, shops, gardens, museums, Notre Dame, and walks along the Seine. The Paris staff was very attentive and professional, as was the entire Paris For Rent staff. The car service (Carylis) that Paris For Rent recommends was equally first rate.

San DiegoWhen it works, this is a great place to stay

Given the problems we had, it’s difficult to recommend this apartment at this price. However, the location is awesome, Paris for Rent in Sausalito is easy to work with, and there’s a good chance you won’t encounter the same problems we did.
The open living room – dining room – kitchen space was perfect for our group of five to spread out while spending time together. Bedrooms are “European”, with almost nothing more than bed and lamps. There is good closet and shelf space.
The apartment gets a lot of light, which is nice, but lacks windows (or balcony) that open on to the city. Perhaps as a result, or because it’s on the top floor, it was very quiet.
The location, of course, is perfect, with the Marche Rue de Buci close by for groceries (and another market area around the block on Rue des 4 Vents) and reasonable walking distance to much of the best of Paris. Calls to the U.S. were free.
We used the taxi service arranged by Paris for Rent to return to the airport and the service was great. Note that there is a taxi stand across the street, which would probably work almost as well at lower cost.
There are just enough towels for a group of six to have one apiece. However, the washer/dryer are excellent (f you know to clean out the hidden lint collector), so you can solve this problem.
Wi-fi went offline once in a while for brief periods, but generally worked great.
Some things about our stay that weren’t so good, but might not be issues for you:
1. Outside window shutters are electrically controlled and have known problems. The worst of these was in the second bedroom, where the motor would start in the middle of the night and would not stop - it made enough noise that it was impossible to sleep in this room. I “fixed” this on the second night by finding the circuit breaker and shutting off power. I’m told we were the first to encounter this problem.
2. When we arrived, the air conditioning did not work in two of the bedroom areas. This wasn’t fixed until six days later for lack of parts.
3. There were other electrical issues with the apartment that were less consequential, but suggest a complexity that may cause future problems.
If it weren’t for the problems we encountered, I would enthusiastically recommend this apartment. Because of them, while I might stay here again, I would also consider other apartments in Paris with great locations, especially in the 6th.
Tip: Le Comptoir, around the corner on Carrefour de l'Odéon, requires reservations far in advance. -

The Odeon apartment is ideally located right in the middle of Blvd St. Germain, in the perfect Parisian neighborhood of St. Germain Des Pres. It is a newly restored apartment done very tastefully, with very high quality furnishings, linens and all the amenities provided by top brand hotels. It is very comfortable for a family of six. It is within easy walking distance of two metro stations, many of the most important sites in Paris and plenty of excellent restaurants, patisseries, coffee shops and grocery shops. This truly made a difference in enjoying the Parisian life!. Our greeter provided us with a complete explanation of all the apartment appliances, neighborhood, etc. and was easily reached by phone for any questions. The taxi service (also arranged by them) was excellent. Overall, our experience with Paris for Rent in this particular apartment was excellent. Would love to rent it again in the future.

Claremont, CAChic, elegant, comfortable with a great location!
Left on 01/13/2011 for a stay in December 2010
The apartment was lovely with great light. It was extremely quiet and well constructed. The location was superb. My only suggestion is that the manager take time to assess the supply of towels, cups, dishes and cooking equipment as we found this to be greatly approved upon without a lot of expense to balance the experience.
