    Additional Location Information

This is the heart of the Saint Germain on the fabled Left Bank, once the center of literary Paris and home of many of the cafes made famous by the "Lost Generation".

The Pont Neuf, Ile de la Cité, the banks of the Seine, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the boulevards Saint Germain and Saint Michel: magical words which conjure up the charm of Saint Germain des Près and the Latin Quarter.

This beautiful neighborhood, thought by many to embody what people think of when they hear the word "Paris," offers a wide range of art galleries, antique shops, fashionable shops and the great dress designers' boutiques (Yves St Laurent, Givenchy, Dior, Rykiel, Lacroix, Armani, Cartier).

Some of the world's most famous cafés and restaurants (Le Procope, Louis XIII, Jacques Cagna, Le Flore, les Deux Magots) are also here, as well as cinemas, theatres and clubs for music, as well as the churches of St Germain and Sainte Chapelle.

      Full Parisian Experience

Left on 02/21/2013 for a stay in December 2012

We recently stayed in this apartment over New Year. It was wonderful to live like locals for a week. The apartment is very comfortable and we loved having the extra space it afforded as we were travelling with 2 teenage girls. The kitchenette is all that we needed and the coffee machine was especially appreciated. The washing machine and clothes dryer were another important element. Part of being in an old apartment block is the tiny elevator which was quaint, but reliable, and the old floors in the apartment. They are creaky, but we knew this before we went. We could hear people above us, but only once. Generally the building is used for offices so quite at night. The Rue de Rennes is a wonderful street with lots of excellent shopping, and local restaurants and very well located. We found walking around St Germain was easy and very interesting. We are big on walking and walked everywhere from Notre Dame to the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe and across to the Eiffel Tower, Luxemburg Gardens and back to Rue de Rennes. A long way, but very enjoyable. Would certainly recommend this apartment.

      Loved our little Parisian apartment

Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012

This apartment is in a great location, within walking distance to the Seine River and then an easy stroll to the Louvre in one direction and Notre Dame in the other.
The kitchen was small but functional and the washing machine/dryer was a bonus! Having 2 bathrooms was perfect for four adults.
Free Wi-Fi was an added bonus, plus free use of the telephone to ring for taxis came in very handy. If you require a taxi book it well in advance otherwise you will have no chance. We do not speak French and had no issues in communicating with operator, however use area 6 and not St Germain.
Connecting with other parts of Paris was made easy by the metro stop which was close by.
At the entrance to the apartment is a lovely little patisserie and the two restaurants nearby are definitely worth a visit. A supermarket is located a block from the apartment.
Dealing with Welcome2France was extremely efficient and easy. On the day of our arrival we were met at the apartment by alicia who was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We also utilised their pick-up service which I would highly recommend if this is your first time to Paris as they take you directly to the apartment.

This is a fantastic apartment which is ideally situated

Left on 07/02/2012 for a stay in May 2012

We have lived in Paris in the past. Our apartment was in the 5e arrondissement (Latin Quarter) and have stayed in this are ever since. It is, in my mind, an ideal location for spending time in Paris. The Metro at Place Maubert and Cluny are very close as is the RER station. The apartment overlooks Notre Dame and the outside deck, which sits 6 comfortably, is wonderful at night. This apartment is on the top (6th) floor and accessible via a secure elevator. There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. On the lower floor of the apartment is a kitchen with table and chairs plus dishwasher, and clothes washer and dryer. There is a large living room dining room with seating for at least 8. The bedroom on this floor has a king bed with bathroom and WC. The windows all open in the apartment allowing for great cross ventilation. By the way the apartment is on a tiny street and is quiet. There are also air conditioners in several of the rooms and in two bedrooms if needed. Upstairs one finds a sitting room and two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is small with a single bed, and the other has a double bed with a full bathroom and WC.
The apartment is less than 2 blocks from Place Maubert which has superb shopping including bakery, fish, cheese, and wine store plus laundry multiple cafes etc. In addition one is abler to call the us directly without cost from this apartment. Alicia from Welcome 2 France is extremely helpful. I will definitely stay in this apartment the next time I will be in Paris.

      Perfect unforgettable stay!

Left on 02/26/2012 for a stay in February 2012

That's our fourth stay here! So that you know that we must have had an unforgettable experience, otherwise we would have changed place.
Wonderful central location, near attractions and nice shopping district ( bon marche', epicerie de paris). Close to the jardin de Luxembourg for a stroll in the park. The apartment is very comfy, has all the appliances you need for a short or even longer vacation.
Bed and linen are of good quality. You can ask for a change of the towels, just calling the agency.
Alicia, who works for the agency, came straight on time, upon our arrival from the airport.
The master bathroom has also a jacuzzi tub, perfect to relax after a long day wandering the city. Restaurants are nearby, plenty to choose, any kind of food, at any price from the simple creperie to the best seafood place. Phone is working great if you call the USa or Europe, it' free. Wireless internet connection works great in any room. Flat screen tv...we don't even have this bigbat our home. The elevator makes it easier to reach the 4 th floor.
The apartment faces the calm Rue Cassette, you will sleep as a baby.
We have stayed with a couple of friends, with young children and also grandparents: it fits all kind of guests. For young infants there are also two pack and play portable beds, eqipped with soft mattresses.
      Can't wait to be back!

We were very happy to find that the photos were a true reflection of the property and that it had all the amenities one would need. We particularly liked having the Metro stop and supermarket so close as well as the many shops and restaurants. A problem with keys was soon resolved for which we were grateful. The apartment was attractive and large by Paris standards. We would heartily recommend it.

      Memorable Stay

Left on 08/21/2011 for a stay in July 2011

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It's risky to rent an apartment in another city (in another country!) when you don't know the owner or operator, and we were so pleased with our selection. The apartment was well-located for everything we wanted to do, was clean and well-maintained, and was pretty much just as promised. The rental and check-in process was super smooth, and the communication with the company excellent. Our only gripe was that the Wifi didn't work (neither did the TV for that matter), which made it difficult for us to maintain contact with our emails and office messages. I wish they had resolved that before we got there, or while we were there. But that was a minor inconvenience and doesn't diminish our strong review of this property and of the company.

      Would not recommend staying here!

Left on 08/11/2011 for a stay in July 2011

The apartment was ok! It was dirty and kindof run down. The internet, phone and TV wasn't working. Which made it very stressful when we were trying to reach a doctor when my son came down with a high fever. The French medical clinics would not have the doctors call us back on a international number, they needed a local number. Since the apartment phone didn't work it was very challenging and stressful to say the least. To make things worse the apartment on top of us had a dance party with a DJ until 4am in the morning...none of my family could sleep including my son with the fever.
The pictures make the apartment look much nicer then it is. The carpet in the living room is stained very bad and the apartment had a strange smell to it. For the price of this apartment I'm sure there are better places to stay. The street it was on was very busy and dirty. Paris is so beautiful with so many beautiful small safe streets. My family of 5 really wished we picked a better location.

      Not worth the price.

Left on 08/09/2011 for a stay in June 2011

We waited 1 1/2 hours after an overnight flight to be let into the apartment only to find it had not been cleaned. In addition, the elevator was broken for the first 2 days of our stay and our apartment was on the 4th floor and we had heavy suitcases and were exhausted upon arrival. The rep said it was the building's responsibility and not Welcome to France Rentals' fault so there was nothing she could do about it.. The rep told us they would come to clean it within an hour or two, after 4 hours we called and someone finally came to clean. We paid extra for 2 bathrooms, but one had a broken shower that was never fixed so we had only one shower but there was no price adjustment. The apartment came with a coffee machine that required special cartridges, the apartment description said the the cartridges would be provided, but they were not, when we called to ask about them, we were told that the policy had changed and that we could buy the cartridges at a special store 5 blocks from the apartment, since we arrived on a Sunday and the next day was a National holiday, the store was not open until Tuesday! After a long flight, a long wait to be let into a dirty apartment after carrying luggage up 4 floors, we were exhausted and needed coffee to get adjusted to the new time zone. We experienced apathy on the part of management at each problem, but we were told we could have a discount on our next rental from Welcome 2 France, of course they know we will never rent from them again, so it is easy to make such a lame offer.

We had a very good time.

Left on 06/06/2011 for a stay in May 2011

Apartment is in a convenient location. However, another reason for taking the apartment was the washer/dryer. We were unable to operate the machine but were also concerned about the power usage. We were told if we went over our allotted power usage we were to be charged extra. We also did not appreciate the housekeeping we had to perform prior to leaving. At $400+ per night plus the power threat should we have stayed at a hotel (would have had aC). Being centrally located it also has it's bad points: extremely noisy. It was also difficult to keep windows open due to no screens. It was warm when we were there and good ceiling fans would be helpful. Only one shower worked. Alicia was very prompt and courteous. Question below asks if we would recommend this location: definitely not in summer.

Apartment was filled with light. Very clean and well equiped. The free internet and phone were wonderful. It was close to grocery stores, restaurants, markets, and incredible bakeries.
Easy stroll to St Germain and Luxembourg Gardens. Easy Metro to Notre Dame, Louve, Central Paris. Apartment managers were a delight. I highly recommend this apartment and this company.

Location!!! Location!!! Location!!! This apt. is in a perfect place. It is large and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Nice linens. The kitchen is not easy to cook in - but who wants to cook on vacation. We enjoyed having breakfast there. It is great to have laundry right in the apartment. The neighbourhood is amazing. We spent a whole day just wandering the streets. Great restaurants too.

Only downside was that the lift can only take 2 people at a times and was unreliable although on the day it broke down an engineer came to attend to it within 4 hours.

My husband, daughter, grandson (18) and myselft were spending a week in Paris and wanted a comfortable, afforable apartment with a central location. This apartment gave us everything we wanted. We were able to walk all over central Paris, and it was only 1 block from the Metro. We enjoyed the neighborhood because it was not as touristy as the Right Bank. We would do it again!
