SydneyPerfect apartment in a perfect location
Left on 09/24/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed here for 5 nights, the apartment is in very good location and beautiful decorated inside. Philippe, the owner is very helpful and very responsive with every thing we needed. The 5 flights of stairs is definitely a challenge with a heavy luggage when we just arrived.
We would certainly stay here again and absolutely recommend this apartment.

East Lansing, Michigan, USAMy favorite apartment in Paris!
Left on 08/22/2012 for a stay in August 2012
My wife and I stayed in the Lodi apartment this august (2012) for four nights. We previously stayed in the apartment twice before for about 5 weeks each time in the summers of 2008 and 2010. We love it.
Philippe is a great owner, very responsive to emails and helpful in every way. He renovated the apartment recently so we enjoyed seeing the new look. We are happy to report the changes were very nice and what was an extremely nice apartment is now even more desirable.
Location:
Because the location is so central we only rarely used the Metro and thus just bought a handful of tickets instead of buying week-long Navigo passes. That was both extremely convenient and a time saver but saved money too. Also the Vélib Paris free bike system has a station at the building's doorstep, literally, so you can use bikes if you like. Yet the Metro stations are also right nearby, you can walk to Odeon to the south or St. Michel to the East or slip across the bridge and get Chatelet or others. Everything is so nearby.
Kitchen:
Two grocery stores are nearby, ie 5 minutes walk, and bakeries/boulangeries down the street, rue Dauphine, and elsewhere. It's very easy to get food and drink stocked in the kitchen so each morning you can ease into the day with coffee or tea and breakfast at home. This increased our relaxation and ability to achieve vacation-mode and saves money.
Great use of space:
While it is a small one-bedroom apartment, the fact it's split into an upstairs (bedroom and bathroom) and downstairs (living room and kitchen) makes all the difference. My wife and I found it very easy to stay in for longer periods of time. You and your partner are not in each other's space 100% of the time, the tiny square footage feels larger as a result. If it's raining outside one person can read a book or surf the internet upstairs while the other watches TV in the living room etc.
Looks like I'm running out of characters allowed in a review, I guess I said plenty. Enjoy!

Sydney, AustraliaLocation-location-location!

I'll just get this out of the way first...and it's a fact other reviews have stated before - there are 5 flights of stairs to negotiate before you reach this idyllic Parisian apartment at the very epicenter of bright and bustling St. Germain. With 20 kg suitcases and even general to-and-fro-ing during the day, it is a bit of a killer getting up them. Be prepared for that additional exercise you might be needing after one too many croissants!
Having said that, the apartment itself is delightful. Well appointed, comfortable and clean. We had 3 adults staying in the place and it worked well. My partner and I found the double bed upstairs very pleasant, however, the sofa bed didn't get rave reviews from our friend who was travelling with us. But let's be honest, when are sofa beds ever that great?
Like many French apartments there is no standing shower in the bathroom. So you effectively have to have a bath every time or sit and use the hand-held shower head. Not exactly quick, easy or very comfortable. But, generally speaking, that's Paris for you.
These factors I've listed as potential 'cons' are by no means deal breakers about the place, they are just aspects to bear in mind. Along with the above 'Pros' it was great value for money as well.
We would certainly stay again. -

I cannot say enough nice things about working with Philippe in renting this property. He was helpful with everything I needed. The location of the apartment is perfect. A few steps out the door and you are at the Pont Neuf bridge which takes you to the Louvre. The St. Germain neighborhood with its shops and restaurants was a wonderful place to stay. The apartment is nicely decorated and very clean. The wifi was an added bonus that helped us keep in touch with family. We would definitely stay here again. I cannot recommend it enough.

San FranciscoA wonderful stay in a unique apartment!
Left on 06/05/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We loved our stay this past May at Philippe's apartment in Paris. We're a couple in our 30's visiting Paris for the first time. The apartment is incredibly unique with stylish, comfortable furniture, and a special view of the Eiffel Tower from the upstairs windows. The apartment is very clean, and well maintained, and has everything you could need. The wireless worked perfectly, there was a small collection of helpful books to navigate Paris, and a very comfortable bed to end many days of walking! The five floor walk up is definitely intense, but helped us walk off the calories we consumed in the endless cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood. The shower is a also a little difficult (have to hold it in your hand), but that's apparently standard for many apartments in Paris. The location is also ideal - the Louvre is a quick walk across the bridge, Orsay down the street, and the beautiful St. Germain is so central to everything. Also a very short walk to get to the metro with access to the airport, Versailles and the rest of Paris. Simply incredible... thank you Philippe for making our stay easy and carefree!

san franciscoperfect stay in paris

we had a wonderful time in paris and this apartment was the perfect 'home away from home.' it is located in a great part of st. germaine, which is our favorite neighborhood in paris. the apartment is clean, modern and well designed. it is perfect for a your couple like us. the stairs take some effort, especially after a long day of walking all over paris. but the tradeoff is that you get to be on the top floor and enjoy fantastic views. the only thing that could be improved is the shower. it is one of the quirky euro types that you have to hold in your hand. but other than that- perfection!

We spent a lovely few days here in this cosy bijou apartment.
A speedy check-in and Veronique the agent was very helpful and friendly. Lovely interior decoration and everything you could possibly need was provided, including umberellas!
The upstairs bedroom does face a busy street of bars and restaurants at night, (worse on Friday!) but you are in the centre of Paris! so take some earplugs or try the sofabed downstairs which is quieter as that window faces the quieter side street. The apartment has 5 floors and no lift so only the fittest will survive!
All in all, a perfect place to stay in Paris any time of the year.

DublinWonderful stay in the heart of paris
Left on 02/16/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We stayed in this apartment for six nights. The day we arrived we were able to get settled in the apartment immediately and it was so easy to find when we got off at St Michel. The apartment is on the 5th floor so you have to walk up some flights of stairs but this did not bother us at all. The apartment itself was just perfect. It is small but very well decorated and really clean. It had everything we could have asked for. Although the temperatures in Paris plunged well below zero the week we were there the apartment was still lovely and warm. The WiFi in the apartment was high speed and was a big bonus for us. On top of how lovely the apartment it was also in an excellent location. We could walk pretty much everyhwere and had a huge choice of shopping and restaurants on our doorstep! Overall it was wonderful stay in Paris and we will certainly be back.
