This luxurious apartment, restored and designed by Toulouse Interiors, is a real dream – 1600 square feet elegantly combining the best of Old World Paris with modern luxuries and amenities, located on the 2nd floor (US floor) on a Haussmann, 19th Century Building with elevator. Staying at Residence Saint-Germain is the beginning of a unique Paris experience you will never forget.

The 2011, no-expense-spared restoration preserved the original hardwood floors, multiple original fireplaces, antique Baccarat Chandeliers and spectacular ceiling molding. The bathrooms and kitchen epitomize the height of today’s luxuries and amenities, inc...luding air conditioning. The décor throughout the apartment includes many original 19th century French antiques and artwork, handpicked by the owners, who are world-renowned antique dealers based in Los Angeles and Paris. Imagine living in a restored 19th century French apartment appointed by art and furnishings which are original to the same period.

THE LAYOUT

At the heart of the apartment is the living room, luxurious and brightened by the many windows opening onto Rue De Rennes. The leather sofa and arm chairs were designed for comfort. This is the perfect place to enjoy a drink and conversation with family and friends, or to unwind in front of a movie on the 48-inch flat screen TV including DVD player. You will also find high-speed internet with Wi-Fi, as well as a complimentary international phone with, unlimited usage.

The open plan kitchen is fully stocked and designed to satisfy any gourmet chef. The spacious kitchen doubles as a dining room, including a marble top bar with bar stools, and an Art Nouveau Majorelle dining table and chairs, Circa 1900.

The three bedrooms flank the living room in two separate wings. One wing includes two bedrooms: one with a queen size bed, marble fireplace and full bathroom, and one with a fold out double bed and two fold out single beds, and a half bathroom. The Master Bedroom and Bath are on the second wing, offering additional privacy from the other bedrooms. The large Master Bedroom includes a California King Size bed, marble fire place, dresser and mirror. The linens reflect the luxury standard of the entire apartment.

In a city which is known for small bathrooms, Residence Saint-Germain boasts a spectacularly spacious Master Bathroom, converted from a previous bedroom. The bath is beautifully appointed with Italian marble and a stunning vintage chandelier. It includes a jacuzzi, thermal Massage Spa Tub, a freestanding shower and dual sinks.

LOCATION

Conveniences close to the apartment include a Monoprix (French supermarket) across the street and the Saint-Germain-des-Pres Metro and Bus stops around the corner, which connect you with the rest of the Left Bank as well as greater Paris.

One would have trouble finding a more desirable Parisian address than that of Residence Saint-Germain. This important property is located less than one block to the Saint-Germain-des-Pres church, as well as the famous literary café’s and eateries: Café de Flore, Les Deux Magots and Brasserie Lipp. In their heyday, patrons included the likes of Ernest Hemmingway, Jean Paul Sartre and Pablo Picasso.

  We also had a beautiful experience in this apartment. The location was perfect. It was completely quiet at night. We could walk easily to everything. It was nice to shop for groceries and even attend church. The whole area was clean and peaceful. The property management was superb. This place has it all!

  Thumbs up - ages 13 to 82!

  My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a week with our 13-year-old son and my 82-year-old mother; we all decided we'd like to move in permanently.
  
  The boy was grateful for the strong internet signal; he could satisfy his constant YouTube craving. The grandmother loved having more room than she would have had in a hotel, and the ability to make a cup of tea (or have a glass of wine) whenever she wanted. And my husband and I were grateful (because traveling with family is wonderful and horrible at the same time!) to have a lovely bedroom and a comfortable bed - plus a luxurious soaking bath tub, a great shower (two in the apartment, but we only used the one in the master bath) and excellent laundry facilities.
  
  You, the potential visitor, can see the beautiful photos in the slideshow on this website, and they are accurate - the apartment is magnificent and comfortable. What you can't see is Linda - the remarkable and very kind woman who manages the apartment. She speaks fluent English - so does the extremely prompt handyman Linda will supply when something goes wrong. (What went wrong? I stupidly turned off the hot water - what a moron - and kind Fernando had to arrive to flip a switch. And my mother and son couldn't figure out how to use the key in the front door; enter Fernando again, all brokered via cell phone by tolerant, patient, kind Linda who never made us feel bad for being, well, tourists, and not very clever ones at that!)
  
  And when my mother left an entire bag behind as we departed, Linda jumped through hoops of fire to get it back to her. In short, Linda goes above and beyond the call of duty.
  
  You'll pay a premium price for the apartment, but we decided it was worth every single penny. We'll recommend it to friends, and will stay there again when we go back. At the very least, it's extremely fun to be one of the lucky people who unlocks one of those large, beautiful, mysterious doors on the street and disappears inside, to the wondering envy of all the passers-by! Paris is a wonderful city; it deserves a wonderful address as your pied-a-terre. We all give this location a big thumbs up!
