    Additional Location Information

The apartment is located in the very heart of the lovelySaint-Germainneighbourhood, in the7ème arrondissementwhich, together with the6ème arrondissementand the Latin Quarter, is what the famousRive Gaucheis all about. The main streets of this neighbourhood are boulevard St Germain, which runs parallel to the River Seine, and rue de Rennes, which goes from Place de St Germain des Prés to Tour Montparnasse.
St Germain is known world wide for having been the chosen lieu of an entire literary class, and numerous neighbourhood places still today maintain the aura if yonder years: the super packed Café de Flore (facing the church of St Germain des Prés) is probably the most famous of these cafés.
The narrow streets and alleys around Place St Germain des Prés are always vibrant and lively all day long, and at night time crowded with Jazz lovers attracted by all the local bars offering live music.
For shopaholics the close by rue du Four is a must see, as is the elegant and famous Bon Marché, historically the first Parisian department store, divided into two buildings: one for high end clothes and accessories, the other for gourmet food from all over the world.
Closest metro: SOLFERINO (line 12) or MUSEE D'ORSAY (RER C)
Closest parking garage is in Rue Montalembert at 200 metres

We really like our experience and the service was excellent. The location was prefect...everything we wanted to see was within walking distance! The only things we didn't like were no internet access and no telephone service. Otherwise, we would give it an a.

      Am I living in Paris?

Left on 11/20/2012 for a stay in October 2012

It is like that. You have your keys, you have not hour to do anything. You have your own apartment in Paris! You may go outside and then go around. And you may discover where people go, people that live in Paris. This choice, a small apartment near the Musée d'Orsay was very good. The apartment opened to a typical "cour" of the old buildings of Paris and it was very quiet. It was very well furnished and equiped. Nearby, outside, there was a "boulangerie", a cafe and many restaurants. It was possible to go walking till "La Seine", the "Tuilleries", the "Quai d'Orsay", the "Champ de Mars" amd so. Halldis was very good in check in and in check out. Unhappily, there were no wi-fi in the apartment and no "lanhouse" in the neighbors. To use this sistem you must have a good mobile phone, to talk to the agents of the location.

A nice apartment in very nice place, close to the Metro and Saint Germain.
Efficient in the check in and check out
Just one suggestion: it would be better to have a lamp
you can turn out in the bed room without getting out
      of the bed.

      Great apartment in perfect location

Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in September 2012

Great stylish funky apartment in perfect location for exploring Paris. Metro station, cafes & gourmet food nearby. Short walk to Louvre. Service from Halldis was good also, efficient and no fuss.

Wifi at apartment would be good or at least a booklet with apartment summary and tips for nearby restaurants / shopping.

      Cool apartment in great location

Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment and appreciated Halldis professionalism as well as prompt responses. They made the process of renting an apartment from the USa incredibly easy. We were met promptly both when we checked into the apartment and when we checked out. They even provided us with (2) sets of keys as requested. The apartment was completely perfect for our stay though we did not really do any cooking or entertaining. Plus the apartment came with a DVD player and Dvds in zone 2 which we greatly appreciated. The apartment was clean and well lit with natural light from the courtyard. The only negative was that the courtyard could get loud at night from the other residence and a couple of times there were loud parties until 3am in the morning. Sleeping with my headphones on with ambient music mostly drowned it out. This may have been a out of the ordinary experience of noise but be prepared that you are in tight quarters sharing a courtyard with many residence. Since I do not speak French, it was best to just put the headphones on. Great location close to fabulous restaurants, bakeries, cheeseshops, chocolate shops, etc not to mention the Tuileries, Louvre and Orsay Museum.

Communication with staff in Paris not very good.
Two keys, (one per person) would have been more convenient.
Addresses of closest store/chemist/ect. would made it easier to shop for basics.
Cleaning of apartment earlier in the day( not after 5) would have been more convenient.

Within walking distance to most highlights of Paris

Left on 04/13/2011 for a stay in April 2011

This apartment I would highly recommend for its central location. Its in a very safe complex with a great little cooking area. Halldis (Daniel in particular)were highly professional, punctual and helpful. If I was to find any fault at all, it would be that the internet is badly needed. Also the provision of a kettle to boil water and possibly a toaster which most australian/English and american travellers are used to having in a kitchen would be an excellent addition.
Otherwise the apartment was excellent, and we wouldnt hesitate to use both the apartment and Halldis again. Thankyou for an enjoyable stay.

Wonderful first week of 2011, celebrating 10 years as a couple

Left on 01/21/2011 for a stay in January 2011

We loved our stay in this appartment. Cleverly and really nicely designed appartment, and right "on spot" in terms of location. Can`t wait to get back to Paris, and the appartment was really close to perfect for our needs, except one thing- we would really have appriciated internetconnetion. (to find useful information about things in Paris, make reservations for traintickets and tickets to the theater, and so on)

My preferred living arrangments for visits to Paris

Left on 01/13/2011 for a stay in December 2010

Ideal location for those wishing to experience the attractions of Paris, whilst enjoying the lifestyle of a local. The apartment was surprisingly quiet considering it is situated in the very middle of Paris. Within 3 minutes from the front door there are a selection of exceptional bistro/restautrants, boulangerie, supermarket and fashion boutiques, whilst major tourist sights are less then 20 minutes walk. The apartment is well designed, exceedingly comfortable and fully equipped. Finally I consider this apartment a much better option then a 4/5 star hotel in both value, facilities, available living space and ambience.

      Fantastic apartment with amazing location

Left on 10/12/2010 for a stay in October 2010

The owner has definitely spent time and money on renovating this wonderful apartment. After traveling in Europe for 10 days we loved the washing machine and the modern kitchen was impressive and very clean. We almost took the matress home with us. The location is very quite - right behind the D'Orsey with all the conveniences you dream of having in Paris - bakery, cheese story, wine store, dry cleaning ... All the local shop owners were extremely helpful and polite. It was nice to turn the corner and be one block away from the Siene and with immediate access to a walking bridge which drops you into Jardin Tuleries. All in all a real treasure with wonderful support Marco and the team @ Halldis.
