Description from the owner
Ideally located in the heart of Paris (1 minute walk to Notre-Dame), you will live in the heart of the historic part of the city....
The studio was completely renovated in 2009 and we designed it to be as elegant and comfortable as possible. Charming features such as the solid wood parquet floor, exposed wooden beams and tiled floor have been kept, while adding everything necessary to bring it up to modern day standards with technology (iMac computer, television, wireless broadband internet access, induction hob, microwave oven), and comfort (large shower, fitted wardrobe, sofa bed with high quality bedding) to make your stay a pleasant...Read more

Left on 05/23/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We had the pleasure of staying at this studio for 16 days in april/May. From the moment we arrived Sylvia and Christophe were welcoming and accommodating. This studio could not be located in a better area. shops and restaurants were at our doorstep, not to mention the joy of waking up to the bells of Notre Dame. The Sienne, Notre Dame, and the hustle and bustle of the Latin quarter were seconds away. There was always something to do around Paris, but this studio also offered a welcome reprieve after a busy day. This was our first time renting an apartment in Paris, and we were nervous, but our experience with Sylvia and Christophe was absolutely wonderful and we would stay with them again in a heartbeat. We have already recommended the accommodation to my parents for their next European vacation. This flat was cosy, but contained all essentials and then some, we made good use of the computer and wifi and the kitchenette allowed us to make some of our meals at home. Very pleased with our stay! Thanks Sylvia and Christophe!!!

Situated in a charming 14th Century building, this little apartment was perfect for our weekend in Paris. Communication from Sylvia and Christophe could not have been more forthcoming and helpful.
Although small, the apartment had everything we needed with a well-equipped bathroom and kitchen and was very comfortable.
There were loads of restaurants, bistros and shops within a 2 minute walk, and Notre Dame Cathedral is no more than a 5 minute walk away.
We would definitely stay there again! -

We were met by the owner who with a set of unique keys opened two doors. We climbed two flights of spiral 400 year old wooden stairs to a floor that overlooked a courtyard. We entered the apartment and found adequate living and sleeping space. There was an efficient use of space with a shower stall and commode and sink. The kitchen had a cook surface, a small refrigerator and stools to sit there. There was adequate closet space, but luggage had to find a place on the floor. The bed was a convertible sofa to a king size bed. The convenience to markets, laundry, metro, bread, cheese, wine shops and boutique shopping was close as we were in the middle of the 5th arrondissemnet in a small quiet alley. A short walk we were looking at Notre Dame and the Seine. For the price, it surpassed high end hotel rooms we saw. There is a moniter for 1000 tv stations along with checking email. The keyboard is designed along European standards known as azerty not qwerty. It was quiet and light had difficulty coming in. It was secure with a safe and a 5 bolt door requiring 2 turns of the beautiful key. The Pantheon was 10 minutes up a hill, Notre Dame, a 10 minute walk, cafes, restaurants all about, The Shakespeare Book Shop 15 minute walk, the Pompideau Modern art museum 15 minutes away.
In our estimation it equates with a 3 star hotel without all the pomp and flourish. You can save a small fortune just going to the market and eating in. Drinking the wine also helps. -

Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
Located on a quiet street very close to Notre Dame, this is a great apartment for one or two travelers. The owners, Sylvia & Christoph, were very friendly and helpful. We never had an issue in contacting them. The studio apartment itself is small but competitively priced. It was sufficiently quiet and dark enough to get a good night's rest after a long day exploring Paris.
I would definitely recommend to a friend and would definitely consider staying again on my next trip to Paris! -

Left on 12/03/2012 for a stay in November 2012
I stayed in this tiny studio for 8 days recently, and would happily stay there again. The apartment is very small, and somewhat sparsely furnished, but fit all of my needs and was in an absolutely ideal location - just steps away from the Seine/Notre Dame in one direction and the metro and a great local outdoor market in the other direction. I always felt very safe coming home alone at night (though one has to be careful on the ancient stairway leading up to the apartment), and I have never stayed in such a quiet room all of the times I have visited Paris - no street or party noise, no early morning trash or bottle collection - silence! There is no "courtyard" to speak of - really more like a large air shaft (though this could certainly could be improved by the building's owner with a little effort), and there is not a lot of natural light in the apartment, but there are large windows that open for fresh air, a good serviceable bathroom and kitchenette, original ancient beams in the ceiling, an extremely comfortable sofabed, and an imac computer and free wifi. I would feel cramped staying here with another person, even my husband, but for a week on my own, it was absolutely perfect. Very nice owner met me at the apartment upon my arrival to hand over the keys. A great value for the independent traveler. I will most definitely be back!

We spent a week in this apartment located in a quiet street in the Quartier Latin. As described in other reviews the location is excellent. There are many good restaurants in the area as well as a mini market, boulangerie and patisserie. Saint Michel and Notre Dame are just 3 minutes away on foot. As were our favourite haunts Caveau de La Huchette and Caveau des Oubliettes, if you're into jazz..!!
The apartment, although 20mts sq is equipped with all amenities including computer. -

Sylvia was there to meet us as promised which was great. The apartment is located in a very quiet street in a central location to all the main sightseeing spots and very close to cafes, market and shops. While the apartment is small it is modern, very clean and well appointed, the lounge suite pulls out to a queen bed but is very comfortable. As we spent most of our time out exploring, the apartment suited our needs very well.

I was interested in this studio because it had so many great reviews. We liked everything about our room, from the sofa bed to the bathroom shower! I found that the owners paid attention to detail and made sure guest felt comfortable and safe. I liked that the place had guide books, which were quite helpful, and even a converter. Thank you, we enjoyed our first time to Paris very much.

Portland, ORSuper Location; historical setting with modern conveniences
Left on 08/06/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The apartment itself is in a historic building, but has been modernized and is very comfortable. The bathroom is beautiful, with an excellent shower and lighting. The bed is comfortable, and the place is quiet, allowing good sleep. The window opens onto a courtyard type area, but it does not afford a view, but lets in light. Having the iMac was a deal breaker for us. It helped us plan our days in such a remarkable city.
Sylvia was a great host. She gave excellent directions, and was helpful with my questions. Because of difficulties on our end, we did not let her know when we were arriving until the last minute. She was very kind and met us promptly, showing us around the apartment.
We loved having Notre Dame and Isle St. Louis such a short walking distance away. Excellent street musicians were not an uncommon sight on the bridge to Isle St. Louis, next door to Notre Dame. So we could just pop out of the apartment for a quick meal (St. Regis Cafe is fabulous!) and felt like we were in the center of a magical part of Paris. The other direction is the St. Germain neighborhood with wonderful shops: bakery, cheese, fish, etc., and one day we happened upon a most wonderful market set up with more choices in flowers, jewelery, clothes, etc. The metro is nearby to get you anywhere in Paris. -

This is a great studio apartment with most everything you need. It was nice having the iMac to look up hours, maps, etc. The sofabed proved to be quite comfortable and I always got a good night's sleep on it. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you could want.
The location is amazing. Steps away from Notre Dame and the Seine. Any shop you could want is just around the corner and it's very convienient to Metro line 10 (Maubert Mutualite) and just a few min walk from St. Michel (RER and Metro line 4).
Sylvia was prompt, friendly and very accomodating when I had to reschedule my arrival due to a cancelled flight. I couldn't have asked for better hosts. They were also very kind in providing some tasty charcuterie and a bottle of wine to start off my wonderful stay in Paris the right way!

Situated on a cute street across from a neighborhood pizza pallor just steps from the Seine and NotreDame. Great location! There' a farmer's market on some days (sorry can't remember which days, just head south. It's not even a block away). On that same street are a row of classic French shops, bakery, fish, cheese and wine. Can't say enough about the location. Sylvia meet us on time and was very professional in all correspondences. The space itself is very tastefully furnished and modern. I loved having a full sized and up to date iMac to look at maps and research outings. The futon was comfy. My only disappointment is the view. I knew that this unit was an internal one, thus it was facing a courtyard. It's not really a courtyard (if I understand the definition correct). It's me hard to to describe. You will get sunlight and fresh air just don't have any expectations of manicured lawns etc. Not a deal breaker for me since I feel it's an excellent value. Highly recommended for a couple who likes to be out and about.

Close to metro. Clean, quiet, etc. Only negatives are no view of paris, and the hot water will run out during the second shower.

Great service from Sylvia from the start of our journey to the very end. Sylvia sent us step by step instructions from the airport to the studio, without us asking.
We arrived a bit late and my phone didn't work so we missed Sylvia at our appointment time so we were a bit stressed but once we managed to get my mobile working Sylvia came as quickly as possible and greated us with smiles and enthusiasm, could't have asked for better service. I'm a senior manager in customer services so I expect the best and Sylvia made us both feel most welcome.
The apartment isn't large as other reviews have stated but to be honest it was lovely and just what we needed and the bed was really comfortable. Shower is fab and was just like the one we have at home:)
The locatation is perfect just next to Notre Dame, all the shops are just minutes away and the produce is excellent. A few minutes and you're in the Latin Sector, we could have spent all weekend there but so much you can do. The appartment is very quite so no worries about getting a good sleep.
Well done Sylvia and Christophe! -

There's a supermarket, cashpoint, pattiserie, cheese, fruit and vegetable shop, launndromat and lots of places to eat out just a 1-2 min walk. Excellent central location with a single ticket on the train from the airport with no swapping trains required. We will book next time we are Paris.

Left on 09/28/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Selecting this apartment was probably the best decision made for my week-long vacation to Paris with my girlfriend. It is quite small but it has been attractively and intelligently appointed and many things have been done to make a good use of the limited space. It is really an ideal apartment for one person or a couple.
The bed is a couch/bed convertible futon but it is probably the most comfortable futon I have ever been in, and quite easy to use. Comfortable in both bed and couch mode. The supplied duvet was nice and warm and the pillows were fine, although I could have used one or two extra for when I wanted to sit up and read.
The bathroom is tiny but attractive and has everything you need. The shower was surprisingly nice (great shower head/pressure/hardware). Only downside is that the hot water did tend to run out a bit quickly, about one long shower's worth or two very short showers.
Having a kitchen was great. A mini-fridge for drinks and fromage and eggs, a little stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. You probably won't be preparing any extravagant meals there but it was quite handy.
One of the little touches that sets this place apart is the iMac with wireless broadband in the apartment. This is something that a comparably-priced Paris hotel would definitely not have. It was incredibly helpful being able to easily check emails, look at google maps, check tripadvisor reviews for restaurants, and plan out our vacation step by step before heading out every day.
And speaking of heading out, the location is incredible. Walk out the door and turn right and you will be in the shadow of Notre Dame in a few seconds. Turn left and you will be in the bustling district of St. Germain. There is an incredible fromagerie across the street. Next to it a bakery. Next to it a fish store. Next to it a meat shop. Next to it a produce market. Cafes and restaurants and great shopping just within two blocks of your door. Access to multiple RER and Metro lines within 3 blocks. It really could not be better.
The owners Christophe and Sylvia were perfectly nice and communicated well in English. They replied to emails quickly. We did not need to contact them during our stay because everything was perfect, but I am sure they would have been helpful and responsive if we had needed to do so.
Strongly recommend! -

This small studio apartment is in a perfect location for walking around Paris and accessing the Metro. It also is close to a couple of small grocery stores and several restaurants and cafes.
The apartment itself is in a centuries old, but remodeled, building and quite comfortable. There is a small kitchen and a computer in the apartment. The modern bathroom also is a plus, though it takes a bit of muscle to move the sliding door. The apartment building (no elevator) houses others and they are generally quiet; we had no trouble sleeping.
The studio's owners are very helpful and a real plus to the overall experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would stay in the apartment again.

We had the perfect location in Paris. The apartment was small but with everything you needed for two people. The sofa bed was very confortable compared to regular average sofa beds. The kitchen was tiny but modern. The bathroom was perfect with a fantastic shower. The apartment is not located facing the street: we gave up light for silence and it came out perfect. My only complain will be regarding the central carpet of the living room, it was not very clean.
Sylvia and Christophe were great hosts and very helpfull with everything we needed. We will definetly rent this location again. -

The Studio was larger than my expectation, everything that was promised was made a reality with our stay in the studio. Having a Mac to use was the ultimate luxury and made good use with it in researching Paris. Loved the location and made use of the local outdoor market that Sylvia told us about. Easy walking distance to metro and RER. Loved being so close to Notre Dame, and the banks of the Seine. Being out all day and returning to a quiet modern studio was wonderful. The ensuite with shower was excellent. Made use of the kitchenette and found it had everything we needed. I would definitely return to this stylish little pad in Paris.

Impressive location, we would always return to this area, absolutely loved it. Colourful, fascinating, with a great variety of local cafes, shops and supermarkets and easy walking distance to many icons of Paris. Evening strolls around Notre Dame, Isle St. Louis and the banks of the Seine became a romantic evening ritual. Area is well-served by all transport including the all-important RER line to Versailles, Orly and CDG airports.(Warning - ticket office was closed at the St. Michel/Notre Dame station, creating a mini- crisis for us on our way to the airport.) Batobus and hop on/hop off tour bus stops are a short walk away. The studio itself is tiny but comfortable, warm and cosy, located up flights of old wooden stairs and through heavy doors leading from a quiet street of old 17th century residences. Apartment and studio both full of character. There are 2 opening windows overlooking a quiet and small internal courtyard. We found we needed to keep the lights on during the day for sufficient lighting. The sofa pulls out easily into a decent bed with quality duvet, blanket and 2 pillows stored in wardrobe. There are no drawers and very limited space for clothes apart from 15 hangers, so persons arriving with more than carry-on luggage would have storage problems. There are thoughtful extras like umbrellas, novels and Paris guide books. Tv/computer was very high-tech and almost beyond our skill level. Modern ensuite with terrific shower, 2 drawers for toiletries and 2 hooks for the 4 towels provided. Kitchenette had good quality equipment for basic food preparation. Supply of tea bags, sugar, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar was appreciated. 2 stools under the small workbench proved too squeezy for eating, so we ate sitting on the couch. We received a good orientation to the studio from our host,Sylvia, who met us outside. So sad to leave and would definately return here.

We (Fiance and I) rented out the studio for 7 nights. There was good communication prior to our arrival in Paris. Christophe waited and met us outside, he helped us out with one of the suitcases, provided needed info on the studio and neighborhood. They were readily available via email and SMS (but we didn't bother them at all during our stay), we felt very comfortable with them. It's a perfect location, you have everything within walking distance (shops, restos, markets, metro, taxis hub, etc...), it's a very chick neighborhood with Notre Dame about a 10mn walk from the studio. We were out at all times of the night and day and felt very safe. The studio is clean and up to date, offers all that you would need for a sejour in Paris, the studio is an "entre-coucher", thus making it a very intimate space for two, don't rent it for more than 2 occupants. The thing that I suggest on is the bed which is a Sofa bed (maximizing space); the mattress was not the most comfortable, it needed more padding; I would say. Overall, our sejour in Paris was wonderful, Sylvia and Christophe were great!!!, the studio was an excellent choice and we would definitely rent it out again. You won't regret renting this studio !!! Thank you Christophe and Sylvia, you guys were great !!!

My husband and I enjoyed 6 nights in your cosy little studio. The check in with your father's help was great. The location was the best. We felt like we really got to explore the area. We had a tiny taste of what it would be like to live in Paris. Plenty of shops and resturants near by. The small kitchen was just fine for breakfast in and a glass of wine in the evening. The computer was a helpful for checking in with family and looking for Paris travel info. There is no elevator, which was not a problem for us, but travelers renting this studio should know, you need to carry your bag up two flights. This was my sixth trip to Paris. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The sofabed was the most comfortable, I have slept on, ever. The shower was nice and hot and water pressure was good. This is a perfect place for one or two who are very close.

Great location - about one block from Notre Dame and close to the Metro, grocery stores and atm's. It was a tiny apartment, but was newly remodeled, and it had a well equipped kitchenette, a computer and free internet, which you would not find in most hotels. If you enjoy a very firm mattress you may enjoy the sofa bed, however, we found the mattress very hard. Remember to bring a bar of soap and shampoo. We were happy we brought a flat sheet as we are not fond of duvets. Overall, though, we were very satisfied.

My wife and I recently spent a week in Paris and had a fantastic holiday. We stayed in a wonderful studio apartment located in the Latin Quarter. When we arrived, the owner, Christophe, personally met us at the building and gave us a tour of the apartment. The apartment came fully equipped with tour books, a map and all the amenities you need for a very comfortable stay. There was also a computer available to us that came in handy for looking up more info on Paris and emailing family back home. The layout for the studio is modern and clean. It is a small space, but I didn’t feel cramped, even for a guy my size.
The neighborhood around the apartment is quiet and clean, yet two blocks away, a different and more vibrant Paris awaits. Restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and a bakery are just around the corner. There are multiple metro stations within very easy walking distances, including one for the RER. If you’re looking for an apartment in a great location, with easy access to one of the greatest cities in Europe, don’t hesitate to book your trip now. We’ll definitely be back!

Left on 05/19/2010 for a stay in May 2010
We really enjoyed our stay at the studio. The shower is great, great water pressure! The living space is wonderful and modern and very clean. We felt safe and secure here. The neighborhood has so much to offer and fabulous food right down the street. Sylvia is so nice and accommodating. I would stay here again and would recommend this to anyone touring around Paris. The train is a 7 min walk.

Rochester, New YorkMy best stay in Paris ever
Left on 04/08/2010 for a stay in March 2010
I go to Paris on business quiet often and this was the first time I venture to
rent a studio instead of a hotel room. This was by far my best stay in paris
ever.
The studio, the location, and the hosts were all but a dream come true. The
place was charming, with every detail carefully thought out. Extremely
comfortable, with all the amenities one could hope for. The studio is part of a
15th century building in the heart of the latin quarter, with close proximity to
everything; Notre Dame, the Pantheon, the metro, and some great restaurants
and cafes.
My only regret was to find out that the studio was already booked for the
dates of my next trip to paris.
But I'll be definitely back...
Great job Sylvia and Christophe! Keep it up...Response from Sylvia & Christophe - 04/09/2010

The place is incredibly well located and has every thing you'll need. It's a little small indeed, but the intire decoration is new and cosy. The owners are really nice people, what makes the experience even more pleasant.

My wife and I stayed here for a short week in March. And it was absolutely
perfect !
We were very happy choosing that cosy studio instead of a hotel. It
definitely makes you ?feel very much like a Parisian.
So to go straight to the point :
1) perfect location - couldn't be better,
??2) fully equipped and recently renovated studio, ?
3) great hosts - Sylvia and Christophe were very friendly and helpful, (she's
managing a hotel in the area so she knows about guests!),
4) fair price for that area?.?
We hope to be able to stay here again one day and would not hesitate to
recommend the apartment to our friends.
We enjoyed our stay stay and we thank you again ! -

I had the opportunity to stay in this flat for a couple of days.
Located in the heart of Paris near the cathedral Notre-Dame(5 minutes by walking), close to St-Michel and the Champs-Elysee avenue (10 minutes using the subway).
A very well-appointed and well decorated flat. A well-located, quiet and lovely flat.
I will certainly book it again for my next stay in Paris.Response from Sylvia & Christophe - 03/12/2010

Hello, we were in Paris about 10 days and we must to tell you that this vacation home was the best option. Is in a very good situation, you can to go to any Paris places since this home, you have bus, metro and the very best is that you can go walking to a lot of places, restaurants, bars, cafes, museums, Notre Damme, the Sena river...
About the apartment, you have that you need. Everythig is very new and clean. you have a kitchen that if you stay lot of days is fantastic to save some money in the restaurants food, you can cooking.
the sleep is very peaceful and the neighbors are kind.
