The apartment is in one of the most historical areas of Paris, in the5ème arrondissement. The neighboring Rue Mouffetard is famous in all of Paris for its winding streets and alleys and for its open air food market (held on weekends in Rue Mouffetard and Rue Censier), where one can still find excellent local specialties. The street offers a wide range of boutiques, pubs, restaurants, all the way down to Place de la Contrescarpe, a charming corner of Paris which looks and feels more like a quiet village square.
