Description from the owner
BONJOUR Paris! because it dates from the dawn of Paris.
Few apartments in Paris combine authentic wood beams and stones walls dating back the medieval ages. No expenses were spared to implement floor lights to highlight the beauty of the archeological walls; coupled with Louis XV mirrors and chandeliers. Back in times, it was occupied by the King's Knights.
This apartment is quiet, although located in one of the most visited street of Paris, Rue St Severin, steps from Notre-Dame, in the heart of historical Paris.
There is a King size bed and a double-bed in the bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom has a bath...Read more

Halifax, Nova Scotia, CanadaFantastic Location for Outstanding Parisian Experience
Left on 12/01/2012 for a stay in September 2012
From the point of contact with owners Claude and Violaine, we had outstanding customer service with detailed written information for this "self-catering" apartment. Located in the heart of historic and vibrant St.Severin District of Latin Quarter, this apartment served us very well (couple on 30 wedding anniversary first time trip to France for 5 nights). The apartment is located on a narrow medieval street, 3 minute walk from the Seine River and in midst of a plethora of restaurants, shops, bakeries, food to go shops and a historic church. The main door to the apartment is located neatly between too restaurants and enters into a hallway with a number of apartments.
Nicely appointed with two queen beds, 4 piece bathroom (full bathtub!), galley kitchen, microwave, stove top, kettle, bar fridge, sink, table for 3-4, wireless and TV. Although area is very busy, the configuration of the apartment set back off the street and is very quiet, There is a courtyard that allows natural light, although not to go into, and allows for windows with fresh air. Owners provide very detailed instructions and when you arrive it does require an independent approach to entering the apartment by accessing keys with some security punch codes. Make sure you have a cell phone with light or small flash light at the main hallway is somewhat dimly lit (not to worry for safety) and if your eyes are 50+ the lockbox with code can be hard to see:))
Plan to clean the apartment before you leave, buy toilet paper or paper towel if you are there awhile and if you have any local worries or needs there is a local contact with many ways to contact them however this was not something we needed to access as was really like being at home or in a friend's apartment.
This location cannot be beat if you want a 3- 30 minute walk of all major museums, Parisian life scooters, parks, gardens, churches, restaurants, scooters, river boat trips, shops, cafes, people watching. -

Nova SCotiaUnbeatable Location for Parisian Experience
Left on 11/17/2012 for a stay in October 2012
My husband and I spent 5 nights at Bonojour Paris for our first visit to Paris. From our original contact with the owners, we werre provided with prompt, professional and practical information with respect to all aspects of this property. If you are looking for an independant apartment style expereince, this is perfect for you. We were provided with detailed and helpful information with respect to what we should expect from the rental and also what was expected of us as the visitors! If you are looking for a self catering apartment in a location that is between 2- 30 minutes walk of an incredible number of amenities you will love this location. In the heart of the Latin Quarter, a few minutes from the Seine and Notre Dame and around the corner from the St. Germiane shops, this location is incredible and for a very resonable price. The apartment has 2 queen beds, dining area, full bathroom ( with a shower/bath combo), galley kitchen and wi fi. In spite of the density of restaurants , shops and housing in this area, this apartment is a quiet scantuary at the end of a very busy day of walking and touring. It must be the ancient stone walls from which this building is built that make it so quiet and peaceful. The directions for entering the building are a bit like a treasure hunt with punch codes and lock boxes so make sure you print off the directions ( as you are directeted to do) as you need to pay attentiion when you first take residence in the apartment! One other tip, is the hallway that the keys are found is somewhat dimly lit and we found that a small flashlight or cell phone light was helpful on our arrival. However, even with the lighting we felt very safe with a vareity of people coming and going from the building. The area is surrounded with fabuous good shops where you can get food to go or the ingredients to prepare your own. We would return in a flash and also rent another property from these landlords based on their professional service.

What a sweet, sweet spot! I loved being so close to beautiful churches, so many restaurants, charming vibrant neighborhoods, the dazzling bridges, etc...and yet behind that unassuming door that welcomes you is a quaint and lovely flat. Claude & Violaine were terrific hosts and utterly responsive from the first communication. I had no problems or issues. I simply had a wonderful spot to call home for a long weekend. I brought my teenage daughter for her first visit to Paris. She was enchanted by the apartment, the stonework, the decor, the neighborhood with its proximity to everything she wanted to see. Bonjour Paris provided the perfect homebase for these american girls who like their creature comforts. The beds were comfy to fall into at night, the corner kitchen was just enough for us, the location was ideal, every teen needs their WiFi access (so that was a bonus!), and shuttles to/from the airport went off without a hitch. Tres Magnifique!

The location is incredible, while the apartment itself is comfortable, quiet and has a cool, historic vibe. We will stay here again. Great access to sites, metro, food, shopping and music. The owners provided great communication and recommendations, including a focus on safety.

Sydney, AustraliaGreat location - needs some work
Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in January 2012
The apartment is in a fantastic location and has a lot of potential to be a great place. It needs some work to get there - the kitchen is missing a lot of basic appliances. We were also required to bring our own towels (including tea towels, bath mat etc) which was a bit frustrating. Also, the shower desperately needs a shower curtain - water gets everywhere! Otherwise, the place was as advertsied, small and cosy with "unique features". The beds were comfortable although the blankets were not the right size for the beds.

Perth, AustraliaMagnificent Way to Experience Paris
Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011
What can I say except what a wonderful way to experience Paris staying at "Bonjour" Paris. Right from our first contact with Claude it was the most wonderful experience. I hadnt used vrbo.com before so having someone who I instantly trusted was fantastic. All communications were timely and informative. The location in the Latin Quarter is literally a stones throw from Notre Dame...all the buzz of Paris outside and then you open the apartment door, close it behind you and you are taken back to Paris from centuries ago. The stone wall is something else. We expected it to be much smaller than it was. Two very comfortable queen beds, the most gorgeous French window opening up to let the day in every morning was a highlight. Great shower and hot water. I cant believe you can rent such a great apartment for such a great price in that location. Its not 5 star but we didnt want 5 star. We wanted to experience Paris like a local...we were certainly able to do that. Avoid the restaurants outside the door venture a little away and find one where the locals go. We're early risers so it was off to the Boulingerie for a baguette and coffee. We stayed a week and wished it could have been a year...thank you Claude and Violaine.

Right in the heart of Paris! What more could you ask for...well let me tell you...secret pass codes, keys to locked doors, and the quaintest Parisian apartment we had ever seen. So much fun! And the looks you get when you come out the door right beside St Severin Church. All I could think was, yep! I'm a local.
Add to this the blessing of having a fantastic companion who was fabulous company - we had an amazing time in Paris. Not only could we walk out the door and find somewhere to eat within a minute, or jump on the train within two, it was wonderful being chased around Europe by men - great for the ego: stopping us in the street, coming up and chatting for no reason, asking for our number, asking to meet with us later. Not that we did meet with them...just giggled.
So...rude and arrogant French? Where? Certainly not anywhere I went - people were friendly and happy and as long as we were patient and respectful they returned the same in kind.
Bonjour Paris! Every morning I woke up with a silly grin on my face - I looked up at the beams, sun coming through the curtains and the historic wall beckoned for me to put my hands on it again.
Paris is now my home away from home (I left my heart there somewhere), and Bonjour Paris! will be the first place I try and stay whenever I'm in town.

Hudson, WIFabulous 1 Week Paris Vacation w/2 Daughters
Left on 07/15/2011 for a stay in June 2011
My two daughters and I visited the London area and took a week's vacation in Paris while we were overseas. I looked long and hard at numerous websites for an apartment to rent that was conventiently located yet affordable. After many hours of searching I discovered this apartment. It was not available for our entire stay, but Claude and Violaine also own a smaller studio apartment just steps away that we stayed in our first three nights and then moved to this larger apartment for the final four nights of our visit to Paris.
Renting an apartment halfway around the world is a bit intimidating. There is a lot of trust required on both sides. It doesn't help that my daughters and I don't speak French, but we packed our Rick Steve's French phrase book and hopped on the Eurostar to visit Paris.
Our fears were unfounded and once we settled in, we had a fabulous week in Paris. I am a stickler for safety but I needent have worried, this apartment is very safe. You need a code to get in the unit, a key to get beyond the heavy iron gate and another key to open the door to the apartment. The instructions provided show you step by step how to get in.
The apartment has one bedroom, a small kitchen, a living area with another bed, small table and four chairs. The bathroom is split with the water closet in one room and the shower/tub/sink in another. It is not fancy but is tastefully decorated and quite cozy and has a lot of character and charm. There was plenty of room for the three of us, sleeping, eating, relaxing.
It is a quiet location, although we did hear the neighbors above us from time to time. They were not inconsiderate, it was just noise you hear when people are residing above you.
The location was handy for walking to many of the sights, museums, French cafes, shopping, parks that Paris is known for. In short, we loved Paris, hope to return and would happily stay in this apartment again! Thank you Claude & Violaine!

Healdsburg, CAWhat a location!
Left on 01/23/2011 for a stay in January 2011
What a perfect location. For being in a very busy part of Paris the apartment was very quiet. We stepped out the door and were 1 block from the Seine and Notre Dame, and a block in the other direction from Mono Prix, a great place to grocery shop. The apartment was clean, adequate for we 3 adults. It is an old building so the kitchen was very small. We did not do any cooking there except to make coffee, fix cereal, and pack lunch snacks. There was plenty of hot water, a great shower head, and a good tub to soak in after being out in the cold January weather. We would stay there again.
