I try stay in Susanna's apartment every time I come to Paris. It is beautifully decorated, spacious, has a fully equipped kitchen, is centrally located without being on a noisy main road, and is like a home away from home. Well worth it!

      A slice of Parisian life!

Left on 04/14/2013 for a stay in April 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment for 4 nights. It was very warm, clean and the space was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. Much more luxurious and flexible than a hotel bedroom for the equivalent price. The location is fantastic, we walked everywhere. Being so near to the Eiffel Tower is an added bonus for the kids (and adults) as we were able to walk down one night after dark to see it light up. The supermarket across the road was also so handy for easy meals in the evening and there is also a very good bakery round the corner for fresh croissants for breakfast. Couldn't fault this apartment and Susanna's level of professional service and would go back in an instant.

As good as the first time

Left on 04/09/2013 for a stay in February 2013

This is the second time I stay in this apartment and it was as wonderful as the first time. It is very clear that Susanna and her assistants have very high standards for the apartment and they work very hard so that these standards are met. Almost nothing is left to chance. And if by chance a problem arises, they take care of it quickly and efficiently. It is very obvious that they really care about the guests' comfort. Other reviewers have given many details about the apartment and its amenities, so I’ll skip that part. In my opinion, everything about this apartment makes it the best place to stay in Paris.

Great option for a Paris stay

Left on 04/08/2013 for a stay in March 2013

This was my first time booking a "vacation rental" using Tripadvisor, and first time staying in continental Europe. I was initially a little apprehensive - what is this business about providing the damage deposit in cash?! - but in the end everything went perfectly and I was completely happy with our stay. The owner's assistant met us at the apartment, was extremely friendly and professional, and answered all our many questions. The location is just about as good as it gets - a 5-10 minute walk from the Seine River and about halfway between the arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. The apartment is just off a busy street (Kleber ave) but on a quiet side street. A well-stocked grocery store is located just across the street, and pretty much everything else you could possibly need is within walking distance. The apartment is not huge, but has everything needed for a comfortable stay. What I really liked about it is that it is possible to configure the apartment with 3 separate beds - very nice when travelling with two teenagers. The neighbourhood seemed safe (and we were out after dark numerous times). The only thing I can suggest that could possibly be a problem is that noise (voices) can easily be heard from a neighbouring apartment through the walls. However, we only heard this one evening and never after 21H, so was not a problem for us. Overall, this is so much better (and cheaper) than staying in a hotel. I will definitely consider staying at this apartment on my next visit and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Susanna's apartment had everything my wife & I needed + more. The little extras the appartment had really made for a fantastic stay - the nespresso coffee machine, the washer/dryer, the dish washer, free Wifi - it was just like being at home. Susanna was always prompt in replying to our emails & was really helpful when we wanted to organise a cooking class - Thank You for helping making our stay in Paris such a memorable one.

Had a perfect stay in this apartment. Location is excellent and in a safe neighborhood, close to everything you can imagine or need. Susanna and her assistant are fantastically helpful and assure you have everything you need for a pleasant vacation. The apartment is cozy for 4 persons, but laid out very efficiently so we all had enough space, and kitchen is well equipped to make meals if needed. Lots of great dining options locally, a Carrefour market is a 30 second walk down the street, and a great bakery about 4-5 minutes away. Note that you need to walk up stairs to access the apartment - no lift is available.

Our Paris trip was a combination of business for the husband and pleasure for the wife. The apartment was in a good location for both of us. It was very nice to have a fully functioning kitchen and washer and dryer. They both get an a+. A nice grocery is across the street (and down a little) making getting food/other supplies very easy. The bathroom was nice. It was compact, but no complaints. I've stayed in Paris hotels with even smaller showers. Space in the apartment is great. I've stayed in Paris hotels where you could almost get out of the bed and land in the bathroom. In comparison, this one bedroom apartment was very generously sized. The apartment is very clean!! I took advantage of the offer to schedule transportation from and to the airport. I would definitely do that again. The check-in and check-out is very easy. They accomodate your schedule. We very much enjoyed our stay.

A warm and comfortable home away from home

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We had arranged to be picked up from the airport by a driver, Kahlid, arranged by Susanna. He was prompt and courteous and drove us to the apartment where we were then met by Lisa, an assistant of Susanna's. She greeted us warmly and showed us the various "bits and pieces" of the apartment and then left us to settle in. The apartment was a good size for a family of 4 (2 children aged 10 and 12) The sofa bed in the lounge turned into a proper bed and the children slept comfortably in the bed for the eight nights of our stay. We cooked breakfast most mornings in the kitchen and found the kitchen utensils and equipment to be well stocked and efficient. The location of the apartment is very central and is only a short 15 minute walk to the arc De Triumphe in one direction and a 10 minute walk via the Trocadero area to the Eiffel Tower. The Boissiere Metro is only 200 metres from the apartment. There is a 24/7 Carrefour literally across the road from the apartment and 2 great restaurants, Planet Sushi next door and a fabulous Italian bistro across the road. While there were many other dining options in the street, we were usually out and about for most of the day and early evening until 9 or 10pm. Across the road is a hotel and while it is busy with delivery trucks and bikes in the morning, overall the apartment was a quiet, relaxing haven away from the bustle of Paris. As a family, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment and if we ever do come back to Paris, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you Susanna.

Terrific stay in a cozy and well located apartment

Left on 10/04/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We recently spent a week in Susanna's apartment. We found it very clean, and well equipped. There was an excellent binder with information and instructions on everything in the apartment, very handy. We loved the location, with many restaurants nearby, and the grocery store almost straight across the street. We had wonderful weather, so several evenings we were able to walk down to the Trocadero, and over to the Eiffel Tower, a 15 or 20 minute walk. It was great to sit at a table outside, eating dinner and looking at the Tower. Isn't that what visiting Paris is all about?

The service was fantastic, from arranging car service from the airport to meeting me at the apartment and mid week cleaning. The little things make a difference too - like the nespresso coffee machine, bath robe and slippers, DVD player. I will be back!!

      Great experience staying at "Closetoheart"

Left on 09/04/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Choosing to stay at this place, I'd say, was the most wise decision we made for our 4-day tour in paris this past summer. It was our first time to visit this famous city.

We changed our mind from booking a hotel almost at the last minute when we found this place on web and talked to the owner immediately. Here are a couple of things I note as a big plus compared with staying in a hotel:

      1. The owner can set you up for logistics like picking you up at airport as well as send you there upon departure. You can also get your homework done a lot easier when you ask the owner for advice on tour, dining, transportation, etc.
      2. The room is very neat and cozy, perfect for a family of four (we got two young daughters under 12 so they can share one bed). If you have grown-up instead, then family of 3 may be the right size. The room got everything - kitchen, dish washer, washer&dryer;, bath room where you can see how Europian efficiently utilize space and resource. It gave us a feel at home especially when we came back exhausted by the end of every day as you can imagine for a tourist. It also has wireless access to internet, cable TV, and phone that you can make international call to us for free.
      3. The location is second to none - takes less than 10 minutes of walk to either Eiffel Tower or The arch of Triumph; not to mention just one block away from the subway (Metro) entrance! It means "Close To Heart" of Paris.
      4. There is a grocery store just a few steps across the street - very convenient. You can even cook if you get tired of dining out every day. The apartment has all kitchen ware (plate, bowl, cup, glasses, forks, etc). You can taste Bordeaux as you relax at home.
5.The neighborhood is quiet. We stayed during weekday. I even doubt if French people go to work in the morning - there was rarely noise on the street - hard to believe in a non-suburban area.

Simply put it, we enjoyed the stay very much and definitely recommend it.

Little gem in the heart of Paris

Left on 09/02/2012 for a stay in August 2012

This was our first time renting a vacation apartment. We usually stay in 5 star hotels and were a little apprehensive. It was far superior than staying in a hotel on multiple levels. The service we received from Susanna was exceptional before and during our stay. The driver that she arranged to pick us up at the airport was very accommodating since we had a late arrival as well as an early departure. The apartment is conveniently located and was about a 15 minute walk from the Eiffel tower. There is a great supermarket a couple blocks down as well as gourmet food stores. There is a wonderful boulangerie / patisserie close that made the most delicious baguette(traditional) that we have ever had. We felt like this was a true Parisian experience especially with all of the advice Susanna provided. It was like having a local friend give you tips on where to eat, shop and sight-see. We look forward to our return to Paris and will definitely rest from Susanna again. This was the perfect vacation stay for our family of four.

Great choice for comfort and convenience

Left on 07/15/2012 for a stay in June 2012

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for six nights, with a friend joining us for four of those nights. Susanna was responsive and helpful during and after the booking process. She set us up with van transportation from the airport to the the apartment which I highly recommend. Her assistant was there to meet us and ready to answer any questions we had during our stay. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable, with an excellent bed and good closet space. The kitchen has the basics for fixing a meal, although the Ikea knives are very dull, and the Nespresso machine is a great bonus. The apartment is located very close to a Metro station and within easy walking distance of the Trocadero, Eiffel Tower, and Champs de Mars. There is a wonderful cafe a few doors away, and an excellent bakery just around the corner. There is also a market across the street and a few doors down, where you can get fixings for a meal or a nice bottle of wine.

If your party includes more than two people, be aware that there is some street noise from a takeout Sushi restaurant next door, with loud delivery motorbikes coming and going for most of the afternoon and evening. This could be a problem for light sleepers using the sofa bed in the living room. One of our party, a female, noted that the "window" from the bathroom to the living area is a bad idea due to the feeling of exposure and lack of privacy. She had to plaster the window with wet paper towels to shield herself from view. A curtain could solve this problem easily. Another recommendation would be for the owner to add a simple hanging device for the shower, as there is no place to put one's shampoo and conditioner, and there is hardly room in the shower to bend over to the floor to get things placed there.

Overall, an excellent choice for a comfortable and convenient apartment in Paris.

Dear Guests, thank you very much for staying with us and for taking the time to write your comments.
It is always useful to get feedback from Guests.
I tried to have this apartment ready to welcome my Guests taking care of all details … slippers, bathrobes, complimentary coffee/tea, I recently added a personalized Tote bag and even in the kitchen, despite the Ikea knives (I will supply an additional set of higher quality knives), there is everything you normally have at home just because, since I like to cook too when I am away from home … I enjoy having a fully equipped kitchen available.
Regarding the street noise in the living room area, the location is in central Paris and relatively to a central metropolitan area this is considered to be a quiet street. You may have noticed there are four hotels on this street.
The bathroom “window” has been created by the architect to visually enlarge our bathroom … The translucent picture , gift of a well known Italian photographer, was applied to the glass as a decorative element and yes to give a little bit of light coming through the living area.
My apologies if this may have created some level of discomfort to your friend.
I will think about adding a small rolling up curtain to be used if needed!
The shower area I agree it is not over sized but this is a standard medium European size shower you find in most apartments as well as hotels.
I don't find the hanging device particularly safe (for a rental apt) unless they are anchored to the wall. But, because of the Bisazza mosaic tiles, and the clean design, I decided not to install any hanging device.
I thank you again for your comments and I hope I will have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future.
      All the best, Susanna

      Perfect apartment in great location

Left on 07/10/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We spent a wonderful eight nights in this lovely apartment with our two children, aged 8 and 11. The apartment was perfect for us - it had all the amenities that we needed and was very clean and comfortable. After a long day of sightseeing and loads of walking it provided a cosy haven for us to retreat to while we recharged our batteries for the next excursion.
The apartment is in walking distance from the Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower as well as a number of metro stations, which gave us easy access to all the major sights and attractions. There are a number of restaurants in the area (none of which were particularly special - our best meal within walking distance was at Le Stella on ave Victor Hugo). There is a supermarket across the street which was very convenient.
Making all the arrangements was very easy - Susanna responded quickly to emails prior to our arrival and organized for us to be met on arrival, despite it being early in the morning. She also arranged a shuttle to collect us at the airport. The whole process was seamless.
Added bonuses from a convenience point of view were the free wifi and the washing machine and dishwasher.
All the attractive extra touches such as the decor also made us feel at home (we loved the funky toaster!).
This is an apartment that we would definitely recommend to families wanting to explore Paris.

If you want to base your stay in the 16th arrondissement, and we did, then this is the place to stay. We wanted to stay in Paris for four nights and contacted Susanna, owner of this renovated apartment. She and her assistants were most helpful at every stage of the process, from beginning to end. Even though it was raining when we arrived, as soon as we got into the apartment, we felt at ease and and at home. This apartment is clean, neat, nicely furnished, fully equipped and comfortable. We used her umbrellas to stay dry; we used her dining recommendations to enjoy our dinner times; the WiFi was a real bonus. The bed was comfortable, the location was close to Metro stations. The bedroom faced the back and was wonderfully quiet at night. Fortunately, there is a 'supermarket' just across the street that allowed us to pick up essentials right after arrival. We look forward to the opportunity to come back.

A Spotless and warm home to come back to after a long day on our feet!
Definitely staying here again next time we return to Paris.
A few things: My husband thought the bed was a bit firm.. I thought it was fine though.
Ps: Thank goodness for your umbrellas Susanna!

Excellent location, modern, clean and fresh, friendly staff

Left on 04/11/2012 for a stay in September 2011

We stayed here for 4 nights in September 2011. We are a family of 4, 2 adults with a 3 year old and 12 month old. The apartment was in a fantastic location, walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysee, close to metro, many shops and restaurants. You are really in the heart of the city and will feel like a Parisian for your stay. We found booking with Susanna to be a great experience, she is very friendly and helpful. Her staff in Paris, Daniel and Lisa, were also excellent, knowledgeable and available if required. We also booked a taxi that Susanna arranged for us to pick up and drop off at the airport. This is worth arranging, the taxi driver is lovely and had car seats for our children in his car. The apartment was small, as expected, but larger than a hotel room and with two small children it was great to have a kitchen and a couple of rooms to spread out our things. It was on the first floor so there was one flight of stairs, but this was not too difficult to manage (even with a stroller and two children!). The apartment is very clean, has everything you need and feels like a good quality hotel with the attention to detail. We would recommend this apartment and hope to return ourselves one day soon! Thanks Susanna for a lovely stay in your home in Paris.

      Great apartment and perfect location

Left on 04/10/2012 for a stay in April 2012

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It was just what we needed. We have liked a lot the bed and bathroom linen and the kitchen was very useful (fully equipped). We had a very good sleep thanks to the very comfortable beds and the quiet neighborhood. I was very impressed by the impecable cleanliness of the apartment.
The appartment is in a great location, very quiet, very close to the metro and the main attractions in Paris.
If we will come to Paris again we will definetely come to this apartment.

      Perfect

This apartment is perfect in every way. Quiet, comfortable, affordable, great amenities. You'll find everything you need: towels, cutlery, cookware, plates and glasses, coffee-makers, microwave, washer/dryer, safe, huge TV, Wi-Fi. There's also something very important that most other appartments don't offer: weekly cleaning. Paris is like any other big city. If you stay more than a week, cleaning is essential. The owner is very prompt and nice and never takes more than a day to answer emails. This apartment is almost too good to be true!

Left on 12/13/2011 for a stay in June 2011

I stayed here in June of 2011 with my husband and two kids age 12 and 17. The unit was very clean and up to date. Great location, just a short walk to the Eiffel Tower, great shopping and restaurants. The owners were especially nice and greeted us personally. You could not ask for a better place to experience Paris and the price was just right. The bedroom had two twin beds and the living room sofa was just perfect and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you would need a great little market is just at the end of the street which is really nice. You will not be disappointed if you book this apartment.

My sister, my grown daughter and I were fortunate to spend 10 days in this charming, sunny apartment. As exciting as being in the City of Lights was, it was wonderful to return home to our well thought-out oasis! There was every amenity necessary to enjoy our stay, dishwasher, washer, dryer, hair dryer, dishes, glasses, etc... The location is between 2 Metro Lines. There is a supermarket almost directly across the street and other options within an easy walk. There were wonderful restaurant options in the immediate vicinity. Susanna was a wonderful and gracious hostess. Upon my return to Paris, this will be the first accomodation that I will attempt to book.

      Parisian perfection

Left on 09/21/2011 for a stay in September 2011

This apartment is as close to perfection as you could want. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable, quiet (for Paris), equipped with everything you could need, very close to the metro (about 1 block), and close to Velib stations if you want to hire a bike (if you don't have a credit card with a smart chip, try buying your 1 or 7 day pass online at www.velib.fr).

For aching feet after a day walking in Paris, the Thai massage shop further up Rue St Didier (across Raymond Poincare and just pass the Velib station) is perfect. Go a bit further along Rue St Didier but on the opposite side of the road for a larger supermarket (Casino) in a small shopping mall.

Susanna Molli responds immediately to any queries you have, making your stay hassle free. If she could just arrange for the perfect french bakery to open a few doors away, life would be even more perfect. In the meantime, the Boulangerie-Patisserie on Place Victor Hugo is excellent.

I stayed here for work meetings and a conference. The internet access and the dining table provided much better working conditions than the cramped hotel rooms I have always stayed in in the past.

We were met by Susanna and given not only an intro to the apartment, but information about the local areas, including where to eat. Grocery located just across the street. The apartment was clean, well organized and the beds were very comfortable. Access to the metro is quick, and our 5-day metro/bus passes made access to any part of Paris easy. Nice large screen TV and wi-fi made our son quite at home. This was a terrific introduction to the city during our first visit. Will definitely stay again.

      Staying in the chic 16th

Left on 05/09/2011 for a stay in February 2011

Susanna welcomed me into her apartment at the due time. She has arranged all the cleaning of the apartment. Initial problems with the wifi were quickly resolved.

The apartment is well designed and has spacious dedicated areas for sleeping, washing, cooking, eating and for relaxing. The bedroom was calm and comfortable with plenty of space for storing clothes. I enjoyed the walk-in shower where I started and ended my day. It was a pleasure to be able to cook for myself and make a lovely expresso coffee. Having a dishwasher to use, meant more free time for myself.

The apartment is superbly situated between the Arch de Triumph and the Trocaderao. With the metro station Boissere just a few hundred metres from the apartment everywhere in Paris was accessable. I especially enjoyed an evening walk down to the Eiffel tower, the Champ de Mars and back. The apartment is handily placed in the same street as a small Carefour supermarket which is open until 11.pm. Having use of a phone and Wifi was excellent to keep in contact with friends and family.

I most enjoyed having a retreat home from home to return to at the end of the day. So different to the average small cramped hotel room. Staying in Susanna's apartment has been the making of the my 3 months work experience in Paris. Many thanks.
