Welcome to "The Secret Of The Bastille". This sunny one bedroom apartment is located in the heart of the thriving Bastille area, but it is tucked away in a small courtyard providing you privacy and quiet. "The Secret" is once you step inside the apartment, you wont hear any of sounds of the city.

Located on the vibrant Rue De La Roquette, immediately beside the Place de la Bastille, you have hundreds of restaurants, boutiques, cafes and markets to choose from. The street is overflowing with activity d...ay and night, and you will never run out of new places to visit.

The wonderful open air market of the Bastille is located just steps away from your apartment on Blvd Richard Lenoir every Thursday and Sunday. Alternatively, further up Blvd Richard Lenoir is the open air market "Popincourt" every Tuesday and Friday. Both have excellent seafood and Artisanal products from all over France. You can shop for all of the freshest french market ingredients to cook your own special meals in your own kitchen.

This lovely apartment is located in a quiet inner courtyard where you will never know that the vibrant activity of the Bastille is just outside.

The bedroom has a Queen size bed for 2 people.

The new Double size Sofa Bed in the living room can be opened to fit 2 additional people and closed to create a living space.

The flatscreen TV in the living area will let you see what's going on in the world with hundreds of channels in many languages and CNN and BBC in English. But remember, you didn't come to Paris to care about what's going on in the world. So set it to some digital classical radio instead and sip some wine and nibble some fromage, now that's better.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave/grill, ceramic stovetop, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, kettle, coffee maker and toaster.

  Apartment was very small and old. Area is not convenient to the museums, and in a somewhat seedy neighborhood. Lacked adequate lighting in the bedroom. Furniture in living area not too comfortable. Views out of the windows was terrible - just other unattractive apartments. Needs more lighting. This being said, the apartment was clean and adequate but definately not worth the money it cost.

  The location is ideally situated, in one of the most central and historic neighborhoods of Paris. It is possible to very quickly walk to the Bastille, Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, Place Des Vosges, the Marais, Picasso Museum and many other wonderful sites. It is even possible to never use public transportation and to have a totally fulfilling experience from this location.
  
  The apartment views a clean inner courtyard which allows for a quiet escape from the car and motorcycle traffic that is nearly unavoidable in Paris. For guests seeking an apartment with a street view, they should be conscious that this is almost always going to result in noise levels that would prove bothersome to persons not accustomed to downtown city living.

  Apartment was well equipped and very quiet despite central /busy location. Booking process was easy, information regarding the apartment was accurate (photos posted are accurate) and handing of the keys were punctual and precise. Cobblestone Paris Rentals returned our emails/questions in a very timely manner and provided accurate recommendations on how to get to the apartment. The airport-apartment transport service we booked through their website also worked really well which made for a smooth travel!

  My husband, 13-year old daughter, and I stayed 4 nights at this cozy apartment and had a wonderful time! We were greeted by Lauren, who ensured we were situated and answered our questions. The apartment was clean and tidy, and all of or sleeping accommodations were comfortable. Grocery next door, bakery across the street, and Metro a few steps away had us self sufficient and feeling like locals instantly. We took advantage of the books available at the apartment for our planning and the Dvds one very rainy evening! Thanks Cobblestone for such a wonderful place to call home for a few days!

  Everything went perfectly from the moment we reserved! Jennifer was very quick to respond to all emails and answer questions. The apartment itself was very clean and well-equipped. The location felt perfect to us and we thoroughly enjoyed our walks to and from the sights and monuments of Paris. It was wonderful to live like a local: shopping at the open-air market around the corner, eating croissant across the street, dining out in the neighborhood without another american in sight, and even bringing home take-out chinese food one night and watching a DVD. The subway was extremely close by (one block) and made getting to all points in Paris quite fast. We loved the information left in the apartment that clued us in to everything from how to use the dishwasher and TV to where to rub elbows with the neighborhood locals at cafes and restaurants in the area. We could not have asked for a more perfect stay! Chapeau to Cobblestone Paris Rentals!

  I would recommend this apartment for couples and those with one or two children, it was in a great location,very secure, and surprisingly quiet, very close to the train station, shops, markets, restaurants etc. We had no trouble getting around Paris at all. I was very impressed with your company, firstly Jennifer was fantastic at answering questions and was very prompt, so straight away I felt comfortable with the arrangements.   I think the apartment is marvelous. We had a lovely Valentine's stay for our 25th anniversary and hope to once again, make Paris a regular part of our travels. The bed at Secret was truly comfortable. The apartment was so quiet for such a convenient location and all the touches (wine and chocolate, etc.) were much appreciated. We've stayed in many apt/villa rentals around the World and I think this is the one with the most special touches. Your efforts are noticed and we will recommend Cobblestone frequently.

  I loved our Paris apartment. I would highly recommend both the apartment and Jennifer/Amy and this service to others. They were both so kind and patient and helpful.
  
  And the apartment was perfect. Great location. Very quiet. Adorable. Super comfortable bed! Very warm and cozy. And very clean and well equipped. It had everything we could possibly have needed and then some. Except maybe an alarm clock - and amy was so sweet to be our wake up call service.
  
  Seriously, this way exceeded my expectations. I would rent this same apartment again!
  
  And we loved Paris. It was beautiful and exciting. And everyone we met were helpful and did not laugh at my pitifully insufficient French. We had a wonderful time.

  My new wife and I would like to thank Jennifer at Cobblestone for assisting us with this las minute booking. We were scouring the internet for a good option when our other reservation cancelled on us at the last minute on our honeymoon ! Who would do that ???
  
  We were able to book everything online and we had our confirmation in our email within 30 minutes. That's service ! The other company took three weeks to fax and mail us the contracts. Jennifer had everything set up so we could book online and get on our way !
  
  The apartment is everything that the website says, and we were very comfortable there. It is obvious that Cobblestone Paris Company is very dedicated to making each of their apartments special. We especially liked the Paris movies that were provided and made each night cozy and relaxing.
  
  We will definitely be back, we wouldnt rent from any other company. Maybe for our 1st anniversary ?? ( We can always hope ! )
