Description from the owner
Turn of the century cut stone apartment located just a few minutes walk away from the Eiffel Tower. Very well equipped and comfortable in a great location for shopping and visiting.
The Motte-Piquet Dupleix area is a calm residential area and as a consequence has all the daily essentials such as cafés, boulangeries and markets required for a genuinely French lifestyle.
Within 2 minutes walk of the apartment there are several boulangeries where you can buy your warm baguettes and croissants for breakfast. Boulangeries are also excellent places for french fast food such as quiches, salads and sandwiches (and wonderful cakes).
... Every Wednesday and Sunday, the area under the metro viaduct is transformed into a 500 metre long market where you can find an incredible variety of fresh foods. The Marché de Grenelle is the biggest and best of the Paris markets. It's the perfect place to pick up a Sunday lunch or just to wander around. You might even get lucky and find some stall holders who want to try out their english on you.
The apartment interior is of recent design however the fireplaces and most of the oak floor is original.
We are located on the third floor and overlooking a courtyard. The courtyard is very quiet and we have soundproofed the walls and doorway to ensure that you get a good night's rest. The building also has an elevator.
Windows are double glazed throughout.
The one bedroom apartment is perfect for two people but if desired, up to three could be accommodated. The large double bed has a firm Dunlopillo mattress and the bedding is of the highest quality. A third guest has a very comfortable fold out sofa in the living room. A fresh set of towels and bedding is provided.
As the area is so well served by markets and food shops, you are encouraged to make use of the fully equipped kitchen.
After dining if you don't feel like going out, why not watch a film. With wall mounted speakers, watching a DVD is that much more enjoyable. We have left you plenty of movies to watch. With free wireless Internet and free phone use, there is no reason not to stay in touch with friends and family.
Located just near the Metro Dupleix , this centrally located apartment is easy to get to. For those arriving by Eurostar, the Gare du Nord is around 50 minutes by bus or 35 minutes by metro. The metro is a little quicker but there is a change from line 4 to line 8 which will take you to La Motte-Picquet Metro station, a ten minute walk to the apartment. A taxi from the Gare du Nord will cost around 25 euros.
If arrriving by air, you can take the RER B from Charles de Gaulle airport change at Cluny Sorbonne and take line 10 to Metro La Motte-Picquet. The journey is about an hour door to door. The same journey by taxi costs around 60 euros.Read more

Perfect hosts, perfect apartment
My stay in the Eiffel Bartholdi apartment was fantastic.
Christopher and Oxanna were the perfect hosts. As soon as I arrived they invited me upstairs for a cup of tea with the family which I thought was so nice. Christopher helped me with my bags to the apartment and explained how to use everything in detail. A visitor book is also there with clear instructions.
The bed was nice and comfy, the kitchen was functional with everything you need. I know people have mentioned the bathroom is small, I think the great water pressure and hot water makes up for that. I also felt very safe in the apartment.
I took the metro station Dupleix to connect to the other stations and found the trains very easy to use after the first day.
There is a bakery on the corner and a great supermarket down the road. After a small walk around the streets I found many specialty shops very close by like fresh seafood, cakes, chocolates, wine and cheese.
On Wednesday and Friday mornings there is a fresh food market over the road.
This was a perfect stay in Paris.
Excellent place to stay in Paris
From Mar 24th to 31st 2014 I and my wife stayed at Eiffel Bartholdi Paris Holidays. The apartment is awesome, you can find everything you need to enjoy your trip with comfort and safe. It is about 10 minutes walking slow to reach the Eiffel Tower. In 5 minutes walking you reach the closest metro station to go to other places in Paris, like Notre Damme, Louvre, Champs Élysee, etc. Just 3 metro stations far from the apartment.By the way, we could walk enjoying Paris from arc of Triumph to the apartment in a pleasant way, observing the architecture, seine river and the movement of the city crowded of people. Around the apartment you can find very nice boulangeries (Secco is awesome) with delicious french sweets and breads. There is a great cheese store (formagerie) called Laurent Du Bois, it is amazing for whom love cheese.
Inside the apartment is another good story. Tv with 100 channels, comfortable bed with clean lines, nice couch, a complete kitchen to cook your own meals with French food that you can buy in the market just downstairs the apartment and private bathroom inside. We cooked some times pasta and fish with local wine. One of the most important thing that we loved was the liberty to organize our daily trip with no hurry, and in a place more comfortable than a hotel for instance.
Christopher and Oxanna were very friendly to give us directions to arrive in the apartment, as well as called us to ask if everything was good during our staying. Only one thing is not good, the lift to third floor is pretty small, but I have heard that this is pretty common in France because buildings are old in general, and the lifts had to be built somehow to fit into. I would definitely recommend this place.
Great Place to Stay in Paris
We had a wonderful time at this apartment. We have two little girls and they just loved it too. It has baby cot and high chair as well as DVD for adults and children. There is everything that you need and more than you can even think of.There's an umbrella, some olive oil, salt, etc.. to start you with so that you don't have to run to the shops first thing. The Boulangerie next door is really yummy and the fact that the tube is so close is really a bonus. Don't miss the local market by the tube on Sunday morning. It's really lovely. Close to Tour Eiffel (prebook on line if you wish to climb on top!). We had a great time. I also enjoyed all the Paris guide books and the Paris art books. A real home in Paris. I highly recommend it.
Buenos Aires. Argentina
Decir "Muy recomendable", sencillamente no alcanza..
Paris even more beautiful in this apartment
The apartment is situated in an area well served by the metro which is all kinds of shops.
The apartment comes complete with everything nothing is missing for cooking, complete with linens excellent heating and very quiet.
It is located on the third floor with a lift even if very small.
We were from Christmas to New Year.
The only problem is the bathroom sink small and lack the bidet.
But problems are negligible compared to the rest.
I highly recommend it
Fantastic base in Paris
Eiffel Bartholdi provided us with the perfect base to explore Paris. The apartment was clean and comfortable, comes with wi-fi,free overseas and local calls, a full kitchen and plenty of local history and tourism information.
It's a short walk to the Eiffel Tower, a couple of Metro Stations, plenty of restaurants, cafes and there's an amazing patisserie just a couple of doors down. Also on Sundays and Wednesdays there is a fantastic market just down the end of the street.
We also did a number of the suggested walks Christopher and Oxana suggested which was a great way to discover the area.
The only small thing that wasn't great was the size of the bathroom. It is really really small. Saying that...the positives of this place definitely outweigh the size of the bathroom. I would recommend the apartment to any couples heading to Paris.
Taste of Parisian Life
As other reviewers have mentioned, this apartment is a 'gem'. It's location is fantastic, as is the apartment which was well equipped with the necessities to help guests enjoy their stay. The apartment was very well presented and the handy travel ideas and books were appreciated.
We arrived late on a Friday evening and one of the owners was on hand to help us settle in. We had a very comfortable stay and hope to return, sometime soon.
Owners make this already cosy apartment feel like a home away fr
We stayed in this apartment for 10 nights from 13-22 Sepand were very happy. The owners Christopher and Oxana are just wonderful and they live literally right around the corner. I cannot speak highly enough about them, they are so genuinely nice and helpful that I simply have no qualms whatsoever about recommending this place. Christopher trotted over on our first night to answer any questions we had about the apartment (very spacious) and surrounding neighbourhood (safe and very quiet). Having said that, there are shops/cafes/bakeries/restuarants/pharmacy etc all around - you are not isolated by any means. Christopher leaves a big folder of information with you - read it, it's chock full of really useful stuff. Every Wed & Sun there is a massive open air market literally 30 steps away from your front door. We went 3 times and loaded up with hot chooks, fresh oysters, gooey cheeses, crusty baguettes, crunchy salad, fat figs, flowers, clothes etc. It's held at the underground station so you are really, really close to public transport which you will find yourself blessing. The wifi works a treat and we didn't have a single hitch in 10 days. A few things - the bathroom is small but that's more than made up for with the shower space itself (roomy) and the water pressure (FaB!!!). The bedroom has heaps of space and the bed itself is comfy but the pillows are flat (I found that in every place we stayed in Europe). Also, the washing machine has a 1.5 hour cycle and whilst it's not noisy, you know it's on. The elevator is small (any more than 2 and it's squishy) but it works a treat with no problems whatsoever. The apartment is only on the 3rd floor and the roomy spiral wooden staircase is well lit. You are also a leisurely stroll away from the Eiffel tower and river Seine. We walked up to a river cruise company and bought our tickets without booking- dead easy. Walking around at any time of night, we felt safe.We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Paris.
Would definitely stay again!
We stayed in this apartment (3 adults) for five nights in Paris. The location is excellent, close to two metro stations and walking distance to the Eiffel Tower.
The apartment is spacious by Parisian standards, there is one bedroom with a double bed and then two options for a fold out bed in the living room. There is also free wifi.
As mentioned in previous reviews, the bathroom is on the small side, but this is really only a minor downside.
We would definitely stay here again if in Paris!

A truly wonderful experience
This modern and clean apartment was close to everything and made our stay in Paris easy, affordable and comfortable. Situated in a quiet street within a multi-storey block, Eiffel Bartholdi had all the comforts of home. An easy walk to supermarkets, Metro, the twice weekly food markets, and the Champs des Mars for picnics underneath the Eiffel Tower, made the stay even better. The patisserie on the corner was a highlight and was frequented regularly during our stay. The owners, Christopher and Oxana, were delightful to deal with and ensured our stay was pleasant and comfortable. A detailed package of information in the apartment assisted in settling in to the area for the seven days we visited. We would definately recommend this apartment for your holiday to Paris, and hope to return one day.
Marvellous and very comfortable apartment in a fantastic area, h
This one bedroom apartment has everything you could want and is within walking distance of many attractions as well as being in a fantastic area. The owners couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The bed is very comfortable. I had a lovely stay.
Our stay at this lovely apartment was wonderful. A fantastic location that is right in the heart of the 'real Paris.' We loved the local markets and patisseries. Close to the Eiffel Tower. The owners were extremely accomodating and helped us with so much during our stay. I would recommned Eiffel Bartholdi and would love to return!! Cheers
The apartment was perfect for us
Eiffel Bartholdi Paris was perfect in every way. The elevator to the 3rd floor; the equipped kitchen; the adequate heat; the comfortable furniture; and the best shopping for food. We also liked having the choice of three metro lines in the neighborhood
Home away from home in the centre of Paris
How lovely to finish a work conference, get to your Paris accomodation, open the door and feel like you could live there for weeks. The apartment is appointed with everything you need to have a great stay in Paris, including a well stocked book case for the rainy days, a kitchen with all the mod cons, comfy bed... even a hair strightener! Just a few blocks from the eiffel tower and surrounded by patisseries, shops and a food market twice a week. The hosts live one street over and it was nice to know I could call on them if I had any issues while in a strange city by myself. They are lovely people who were a delight to meet, and thankyou for letting me stay at Bartholdi until my late afternoon flight.

Great apartment, great location.
We stayed in the Eiffel Bartholi whilst working in Paris for a week. We initially chose it because of quick links to the Parc des Expositions in Porte de Versailles. And we quickly found out there was also plenty of restaurants and food shops in the vicinity which was very useful after a long day at work. The apartment was really comfortable and warm which was great during those few days of cold and snow. The owner made us feel welcome and was very helpful. We would definitely return to the apartment but hopefully for a spot of tourism next time.
We would definitely stay here again.
We were in Paris for a week and wanted an apartment with a separate bedroom, a proper double bed and a small kitchen to cook some evening meals so we didn't have to eat out every night.
The Eiffel Bartholdi apartment met these requirements and was well located in the 15th arrondissement a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. Our email inquiries were responded to promptly and warmly and the video "tour" of the apartment convinced us that we were making a good choice.
Our judgement was not misplaced. We highly recommend this apartment.
The location is excellent. It is close to the Eiffel Tower but has a neighborhood feel and is well serviced with public transport, shops and local restaurants. There is also a wonderful local market under the nearby elevated RER rail line that runs Wednesday and Sunday mornings.
Access to the apartment is gained by a security coded main front door and a short walk through an internal courtyard. The apartment is located on the third floor and a small elevator is available to get your luggage upstairs. We used the stairs the rest of the time. The heaters had been turned on prior to our arrival, which was a nice touch. The bed is large, very comfortable and had quality linen. The kitchen was more than adequate and was stocked with tea, coffee, quality olive oil and condiments, etc.
The toilet/shower was very small but functional and serviced the two of us satisfactorily but might be an issue for a larger number of people or those with mobility issues.
Christopher (the owner) provided useful information about local shops, walks and history of the area in folders and we referred to these often. He also rang and checked that we were settled in and that everything was OK.
In summary, we were very happy with the service, location, amenities and "feel" of the apartment and the local area. It provided a genuine Paris experience and was a great base for us to explore this fantastic city.
It is a great place to stay in Paris if you are a small family with one child. Great location, super friendly and helpful owners. The place is spacious for 2-3 people. You get a much better deal here than a regular hotel. Very quiet and clean.
A world traveler
Lovely home away from home near Eiffel tower
This little aprtment had everything our family of three needed (free wifi, unlimited international calling although we didn't use it, clean bathroom and kitchen and well stocked books and Dvds- my 7yo DD loved 3 Bugs Bunny Dvds). The bathroom is small but we just needed a clean bathroom with nice, hot shower, which it did have, so it was no problem for us. There are several wonderful bakeries right around the corner, where we bought wonderful pastries, croissants, sourdough bread, and baguette everyday. The open market on Blvd. Grenelle on Wed/Sun was excellent, and we had fresh oysters, roasted chicken, muscat grapes, figs, duck pate, amazing goat cheese and delicious cold cuts! Also it is close to rue Cler which is a famous market street. Christopher was very friendly and gave us many good tips on sightseeing, etc. and he even offered us a small bicycle for our DD to ride on downtime. We were so busy going around all the wonderful places in Paris (it was our first time), and didn't get to use it but it was vey much appreciated. We would definitely stay there again if we go back. The only minor thing was that one neighbor watched tv every night until midnight or so, which we could hear in the bed room. If you are very sensitive with any noise, this could bother you at bedtime.

Best place to stay in Paris
Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Paris. Suited us perfectly as first time tourists to Paris. Walk to the Eiffel Tower, the Seine and Batobus (the ferry that stops at all the best sites along the Seine). The Metro around the corner got us elsewhere and walk to Eiffel station for a direct train trip to the Palace of Versailles. Lots of restaurants, cafes, & parks close by, with great architecture everywhere. The apartment is ultra secure, tastefully furnished and perfect for 2 adults. We were three adults which raised minor privacy issues as the bathroom is too tiny to get dressed in. Christopher was the best host, tour guide and friend in need one could hope for, he even let us stay late on our departure day to match our late flight.
Booking the unit and checking/out was a breeze, far easier than some other apartments we stayed in. I would recommend Eiffel Bartholdi to anyone no matter what age, definitely value for money.
Great stay in typical Paris neighborhood
Our family of three stayed in this 3rd floor apartment in august 2012
- apartment is as appears in the photos
- very quiet with well equipped kitchen large bedroom with large armoire to store our suitcases
- very comfy bed and linens. Fold out sofa was fine for our son.
- elevator much appreciated when hauling luggage or groceries
- very helpful English speaking owners who showed us how things worked and lent spare keys when one of us was locked out!
- excellent local shopping and good restaurants
- free overseas calls was an unexpected perq
- close to some sights (Eiffel tower, seine cruise, branly museum) and good metro or rer access to the rest (3 metro lines and rer c to Versailles)
- bathroom is very small. It works fine but feels cramped.
- the neighbor above had a leak which led to some water damage on the ceiling near the entrance. You begin to notice a musty smell in that area ( but not in the rest of the apartment). Hopefully it will be repaired soon.
I have already recommended this apartment to a friend who will be traveling to Paris this fall.
Tiny but Comfortable
We had a lovely stay at Eiffel Batholdi Paris apartment. My family stayed for 5 nights. The apartment although tiny for 4 people, it was comfortable. It had all the amenities which we required whilst on holidays, with washing machine and dryer as well as free landline phone calls to various countries which was a handy added bonus. The apartment is located 100m from one metro station and 300m for another. There's a local market nearby at the metro station, plenty of places to eat and shop. We were able to walk to the Eiffel tower within 5 mins. Christopher gave us really clear instructions on how to get to the apartment as well the apartment had a useful instructional manual, which clearly laid out everything which we would require for our stay. Thanks Christopher for welcoming us into your apartment, we had a lovely time in Paris.

Excellent value and experience in Paris
It is my first time to rent the vacation apartment on a trip, especially on my very first Europe travel this summer. Christopher gave me a peace of heart in the process of finding an apartment, providing the excellent contact through emails, and giving the incredible flexibility after unexpected flight schedule change. My family is truly impressed by all his helps during the stay in Paris.
The location of apartment is excellent. We enjoyed nearby French style farmer market and lots of close-by restaurants. Supermarkets and Metro station are very close the apartment. Except from and back to CDG airport by taxi, we used metro to all the tourist hot spots most of time.
Apartment is compact and neat but nothing is missing. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well equipped. Too bad we don't have the chance to use it, due to many tasty restaurants nearby.
Compact hideaway near the Eiffel Tower
I stayed here with my husband and two teenagers (aged 18 and 13) for a week. The flat was exactly as described on the internet; clean, compact and very well equipped. Christopher was very friendly and helpful on our arrival and dealt with a mini crisis that occurred later on in the week with alacrity. The location was great; close to excellent boulangeries, restuarants and supermarkets and only a 10 minute walk away from the Eiffel Tower. The open air market is not to be missed if you want to sample fresh local produce. It is also only 3 minutes walk away from the nearest metro. I would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone as it is excellent value for money.
A Parisian Gem
Whenever we have stayed in Paris in the past, we have always opted for hotels, this time however we opted to try an apartment. We had lots of emails to Christopher prior to arrival and he was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants etc. We were apprehensive at first, but from the moment we stepped through the front door we were very impressed. The decor and layout of the apartment are really beautiful. It was spotlessly clean, it would be very difficult to find fault with any aspect of the apartment. We were very impressed with the free Wi-Fi, multi-channel TV and free landline calls. There was even coffee, tea and sugar in the kitchen!! The beds were very comfortable and we slept soundly each night.
There are some beautiful bakeries and restaurants nearby, and on Sunday and Wednesday mornings there is a very lively market on Boulevard Grennelle. The Metro at Dupleix is a two minute walk and the Eiffel Tower is about a ten minute walk away.
When we return to Paris we will certainly try and stay in this apartment again!!
Canadians in Paris
Comfortable, convenient, clean, friendly
Christopher and Oxana and their growing family are a delight, as well as very helpful and kind. The apartment has an elevator up (great for heavy suitcases). It is conveniently located in central Paris, near stores, restaurants, metro, markets, etc. It is well stocked with everything you'll need for an extended stay. We found the bed comfortable. The washroom is small but no real problem.
At home in Paris.
This apartment lives up to the rave reviews. I did feel as though I was staying at a relative's flat. The place has its own personality. Quirky and unique. Quite small yet comfortable enough for two. Plenty of space for breakfast and a simple dinner at home.
The only downside, as others have mentioned, is the high step in and out of the shower--you must be agile and have good knees! Small price to pay for such a lovely apartment.
The neighborhood is charming and makes it easy to get everywhere you want to within the city.
Christopher and Oxana are wonderful and I look forward to seeing them again when I am lucky enough to return to Paris.
Wonderful stay - great location.
My husband and I spent just over a week at the apartment. The owners were helpful-both in person and with the information they provided at the apartment regarding the local amenities.
Small by North american standards, the apartment was just fine. We enjoyed being able to make our own meals. There is a market a block away every Sunday and Wednesday with fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and more available.
It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and subway stations are also nearby. We hope to be able to make a return visit to Paris and stay here again.
Excellent apartment and wonderful hosts
We consider ourselves lucky to have our dates in Paris match with Eiffel Bartholdi's available dates. Christopher the owner was an extremely obliging host, and even met us with our children and luggage at 10 pm when we got there. The apartment is very well set up, very clean, warm and well located, for shops, the Metro and the bus. The owners have provided lots of information, suggested walks, books and maps. The beds are comfortable and the linen and towels are good quality. The markets under the Metro every Wednesday and Sunday are extraordinary and worth spending time (and money) in. The local boulangerie/patisserie 20 metres away on the nearest corner became a very frequent destination too! We hope to be back.
Great Location, Quiet at Night
Our family of 4 stayed in this apartment for 5 nights. The location is very convenient: 2 Metro stations, taxi stop, supermarkets, bakeries, street market... anything you need is close by. It's only a few stops from major attractions but in a residential area, facing the court yard, so you won't hear restaurant/bar noises at night and we won't be waken up by the garbage trucks in the morning. Not only is the queen bed very comfortable, so is the pull-out sofa bed, surprisingly. It is almost as comfortable as real bed! The owners Christopher and Oxana are very nice and helpful. They made the check-in and check-out super easy and flexible, which is crucial to us since our air France flights somehow always delayed. Excellent and highly recommended!

Charming Paris home away from home
Overall our stay was very enjoyable. The location is convenient and a short walk to cafes, shops, metro and the Eiffel tower. Christopher and Oxana are very welcoming and the self-made guides that are provided in the apartment came in very handy.
The only slight negative is the tiny bathroom size...but even then, our experience was hardly marred by it.
With the extensive facilities in this self-contained apartment including free wi-fi and international phone calls this place is great value for money and is a very pleasant place to stay.
Perfect location for a dreamy Paris stay
Great location and wonderful apartment. Perfectly set up for a family of four, small but entirely functional. Exactly as described and spotlessly clean. Obtained keys with no problems and owner checked in with us during our stay to make sure we were settled in. Especially enjoyed the area information provided... restaurants, shops, etc. Made it very easy to navigate the neighborhood. Would definetely stay again and recommend to family and friends.
Comfortable, well-tended apartment in excellent location.
A great base for a week in Paris. Location is excellent: a bit off the tourist track, but with great Metro connections and one of the best street markets in the city right outside on Wed/Sun. Apartment was comfortable and well-furnished (good bed!); well-equipped kitchen (although we didn't use it for serious cooking). Elevator temporarily under repair (owners offered a small discount because of this) -- but for us this was only an issue when moving luggage in. Owner, who lives a couple of blocks away, was very friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay again.
Vernon Hills, IL
Great location. Great value. Great experience.
We enjoyed staying here. The place was clean, and well maintained. My sister, 11 yr old daughter and myself were comfortable. Unit was exactly as advertised. Living room bed is foam futon, but once I got over that concept, I found it very comfortable to sleep on. Shower is very small, with a very high step up to get into, but hot water was plentiful. For a 10 day stay, this unit was absolutely perfect for the three of us. We will stay here again, if opportunity presents a return to Paris.
Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Chris and Oxana. it was a wet day but the warmth of the welcome made up for the bad weather.
the apartment is a typical Paris residence in a beautifully old building exuding charm. it is located ion one of the best spots imaginable. you can walk to the eifel tower, you are at the metro in 2 minutes and there are restaraunts and bars a few minites wals away. the streetmarket is at the end of the road and is on twice a week. if we could have stayed longer we would have done. it is a great location, very well equiped, perfect for a short or long stay in Paris. we will certainly be going back...
A fabulous find
We just returned from 5 nights in Paris and were very happy to call this apartment home. Whilst small, it uses every inch of space efficiently. The kitchen had everything needed to cook. We saved money by having breakfast and snack foods here. There are multiple shops and a Monoprix nearby. The market each Wed and Sun is literally at the end of the street. A must! The bed in the bedroom was exceptionally comfortable and the linens were indeed top quality. Our daughters said the pull out couch did the job. The bathroom is small but not much time is spent there anyway. An easy 10 minute walk to the Eiffel tower and the metro stop was less than 5 minutes away. The owners live close by and check in was a breeze. Whenever we had a question, Christopher and Oxana were very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this little gem and would certainly stay here again if fortunate enough to return to Paris! An extra note: We highly recommend the Fat Tire Bike tour. Their office is a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

All the comforts of a home in Paris
Christopher and Oxana were very welcoming. The apartment was very conveniently located in a residential neighborhood between 2 metro lines. It was also very easy to hop on to the #69 Bus at Champ de Mars to get into the scenic center. Walking distance to Eiffel Tower, Ecole Militaire, and Les Invalides. Fantastic shopping at the Grenelle market on Wednesday and Sundays half a block away. Convenient atms, Charcuterie, Boulangeries, wine merchants, etc. nearby.
Excellent Choice for Staying in Paris
Our family of four (parents with 2 teenage girls) stayed at the Eiffel Bartholdi apartment in late June 2011. The apartment was clean, well equiped, quiet at night and an amazing find for Paris. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the pull out sofa for the girls was very comfortable - so they told me. The girls loved the apartment and they are fussy! We were just a few walking minutes away from the Metro. The neighborhood was safe and had resturants, boulangeries and other markets for us to buy our own food. The Hydes were delightful to work with from the minute I sent off my first email inquiring about the apartment. Our only regret is that our visit only allowed for a 4 day stay. We are already plotting a return to Paris and hope the apartment will be availabel again. Many, many thanks to Christopher and Oxana.

Fabulous location with metro on the doorstep !
This apartment is a fabulous location, near the Eiffel Tower 2 mins away from the overhead metro in a very nice quiet residential area.
Chris the owner is extremely helpful and there on hand whenever required.Great bars, shopping, lovely outdoor market, easy metro access right on your doorstep.
However,I would recommend to Chris the owner that the shower room should really be made larger as this is the only negative point about this otherwise lovely apartment.
The metro just down the street, Rue Commerce great shopping
La Dernier Metro just minutes from the apartment
great food,friendly atmosphere.
Felt like I was living in Paris for a week
The place is cozy, clean, quiet, and close to metro and plenty of food shops, farmers market twice a week nearby. Owners are very nice. Good value for money.

It was not only Paris that was superb but also Christopher’s & Oxana’s apartment that we stayed!
It locates in a typical Parisian neighborhood where you can find anything you need like boulangerie, super market, bistro, pharmacy and more. It is very clean, tidy, bright, comfortable, in a safe neighborhood and it has all you need when you are travelling with a toddler or not. Metro station “La Motte Piquet Grenelle” is only 3 minutes walk and you can easily visit every place in Paris either by Metro or RER.
Christopher & Oxana have taken care of every little detail in their apartment and make you feel so comfortable that even in a 5stars hotel you cannot have all these in that price. Really good value of money!!!
So if you want to visit Paris and live like Parisians do, and not like tourists, in a clean, tidy and comfortable apartment Eiffel Bartholdi Paris Holiday Apartment is the ultimate choice!!!

Wow! What a find!
Having stayed many times in Paris in hotels (high price for basic) this apartment was fantastic value for money. Location was perfect! We were extremely comfortable and our hosts had thought of everything we would need for our stay -delicious coffee and basic kitchen and laundry needs, maps, suggested walks and sights to see.
The bed was very comfortable.
From the advertising and previous reviews we were prepared for the small bathroom but we easily managed.
We are saving our money so we can return soon!
Positives: charming flat, lovely furnishings, clean, central, convenient, safe,
easy, great owner
Negatives: *very* compact (but anticipate this will be true for anywhere else in the same area at this price)
In-person reception by the owner who took us to the flat. Apartment exactly as described. Precise information on getting there from the airport emailed to us beforehand. Accurate info on getting around Paris generally & specific details on which metro or bus lines to take to particular attractions & locations. Info on local amenities (eating out, patisseries, local markets, eating in). Lots of information on things to do in Paris & France as well as a large collection of books. Kitchen ready to go - just add food. Condiments (no refrigerables), pots & pans, coffee & tea were all supplied. Free wi-fi & free calls to many major European countries. We used the kitchen for most of our breakfasts, a number of lunches & a home-cooked dinner one night.
Finally, there was no concerns on safety. We saw a few other people in the building to exchange "bonjour” with, but no issues. Same for walking around in Paris & using the metro & RER. No trouble from pickpockets.
Will be looking to stay again if we have the opportunity to return. There was a lot of Paris that we did not see in only one week there. We did see Versailles, Louvre, Montmarte, Giverny, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, EuroDisney & Futuroscope & ate at chinatown & a vietnamese restaurant too.

This apartment an excellent place to stay!
We stayed at Eiffel Bartholdi Paris Holiday apartment for 5 nights from april 6 to april 11. This is an xecllent placy to stay. The location was perfect for us with a metro stop within minutes of the apartment.
We highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone who prefers a comfortable bed with sleeping privacy (no noise) and also likes to have access to some kitchen facilities.
The apartment is well stocked with some useful travel guides and maps, some reading material, and a nice TV/DVD player.

We just returned from a week in Paris and it was a truly great vacation. We like to immerse ourselves in the local culture as much as possible and we achieved this goal by staying at the Eiffel Bartholdi apartment. A highlight of our trip was shopping at the outdoor open market on Sunday morning for our dinner that evening. The experience was quintessentially local and the goods we got were amazing! If we lived there we would shop at the market all the time. The apartment was centrally located to various Metro lines, not far from the RER line and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower (which you can see from the end of the street). Further, the apartment was well equipped for cooking and quite comfortable. The linens were really nice and the apartment was very clean. Our hosts go out of their way to ensure their guests are comfortable and are happy to oblige whenever one has a question or needs a recommendation. The booklet in the apartment with information and walking tours was a very nice touch as well. We found the apartment on Trip advisor and we're really glad other travelers took the time to give rave reviews about the apartment, otherwise we may not have found it!

Great apartment in a great neighborhood
The place was perfect for the four of us. Great shops and bakeries within 2 blocks; the underground was only a five minute walk; 10 minute walk to Eiffel Tower; the apartment was cozy with a convenient, well-supplied kitchen. We prepared many of our own meals with food from the open market; the Simply Grocery store is only two blocks away. The apartment was very quiet and comfortable. Christopher is a friendly, helpful landlord and we could not have had a better experience. We would definitely stay here again. Do not miss the market under the train on Wednesday and Sunday - the food is incredible.
What a fantastic place!
The Eiffel Bartholdi is the perfect place to stay in Paris if you want to stay in a clean, safe neighborhood with all the amenities one could ask for in a home away from home. I can't express how nice it was for to arrive at the apartment after a long day of sightseeing, to be greeted by the quiet serenity of this apartment. The owners of the Eiffel Bartholdi, Christopher and Oksana, were both thoughtful and helpful, providing us all the advice we needed to truly maximize our trip. The first thing you'll notice when you enter the apartment, besides the cozy atmosphere, is a carefully-prepared guidebook to the neighborhood and the rest of Paris. It is evident that the owners know the area very well, and we relied on this guidebook quite a bit. Additionally, they have ensured that wireless internet and television are available in the apartment. This was helpful for sending pictures and emails back to our family at the end of the day and keeping up on world events. Christopher and Oksana are truly the perfect hosts, and almost instantly you feel as if you are less a guest than you are a friend of the family come to visit. The neighboring apartments are quiet and there is a feeling of seclusion you wouldn't get staying at a hotel. The building has an elevator, though not big enough to host a wheelchair; this would undoubtedly be helpful for seniors. The apartment has everything you could want or need: well-stocked kitchenette, laundry (washer/dryer combo), and a small refrigerator. The neighborhood market (Wed/Sun) is a fantastic experience for those wishing to sample some local foods, and other bakeries, restaurants, and grocery stores nearby make it easy to have it your way.

Would return in a heartbeat
Our family (myself, wife and six month old twins) were extremely happy with our choice to stay here. Christopher and Oxana went above and beyond what we anticipated in order to accommodate our "situation" with the two little ones. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance to many attractions in Paris. We ate in every night - the food from the bakeries and market were fresh, ready made, reasonably priced and delicious.
The apartment is exactly as described by the owner - take the time to watch the video. We've already recommended this place to several of our friends and family.
Best Choice We Made
The owners are great people and friendly as can be. They sent us directions for our arrival and met us at their apartment to give us the key. We had a nice chat for a few minutes and they made us few welcome and comfortable as well as letting us know their help is just a phone call away.
The apartment is very clean and equipped with everything you could want. They even have coffee, which is always a welcome addition although I usually bring my own. There is everything you will need for cooking in case you want to prepare your own food and with the market open on Wednesdays and Sundays you should definitely cook something at least one night.
The couch opposite the TV folds down into a bed and is not that comfortable to sit on, but we did not come to Paris to sit around the apartment so it did not bother us any. Also, the bathroom is smaller; this might concern some people although we have lived in tiny studio apartments in Seoul so we are quite used to smaller bathrooms.
One thing you cannot beat with this place is the location. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to three subway lines and the RER going to Versailles. It is also only a 5-10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower so if you like to walk you can easily start a day trek from the apartment and see several sights in a single day.
Overall, this is an excellent apartment with fantastic owners. We definitely recommend it. In fact, this has been our first time staying in an apartment while traveling and the Eiffel Bartholdi has made converts of us both.
Living like a local
The Eiffel Bartholdi was as pleasant and comforable as others had mentioned. Owners Chris and Oxana could not have been more heplful from the information packet given, help in returning our rental car, to supplying us with an oyster pan to take advantage of the oyster stalls at the twice weekly market held 50m down the street. The aprtment was fully furnished and the bedding and linens provided were first rate. Chris had made us aware of the small bathroom and he was spot on. We loved the area and the local shops which were plentiful and wonderful. We hated to have to leave.
Heaven in Paris
Location, location, location. The apartment is near all visitor's dreams: great bakeries, many restaurants and two blocks from the Metro. The Eiffel Tower and the Seine are just minutes away. The apartment owner was extremely helpful and friendly. He provided a book filled with great info not generally seen in guidebooks. The apartment was quite adequate, cheery and bright.
New York City
We stayed at Eiffel Bartholdi apartment for two weeks in July and enjoyed the quiet location. It was a brief 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and a several great restaurants. A short walk to one of the Metro lines, several grocery stores, pharmacies, and of course food. As other reviewers mentioned, the bathroom is small, and similar to a studio apartment in NYC. Not really an issue and a minor point.
Lovely home away from home
This apartment was just what we needed when staying for four nights in Paris. The location is great (near Metro stations, good food, and the Eiffel Tower,) the space was large enough for my husband, and my 11 and 15 year old children, and myself, there was great information left by the owners, and it had laundry facilities too! This place was definitely the best place we stayed on our trip through England and France. I wish I was there right now enjoying pain du chocolat from Secco (delicious corner bakery) in the kitchen.
This really is a wonderful apartment in a great area a few minutes from the Eiffel Tower. Lots of gorgeous food nearby to eat and buy. Christopher is a gracious host and is extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Lots of useful information is provided in the apartment and all essential provisions are there to make life comfortable. We spent 4 nights here and would like to go back right now.

Excellent, charming apartment in great location
This was an excellent apartment for myhusband, myself and young daughter, It's in a very convenient location, near 2 metro line stations, about 15 mins. walk from the Eiffel Tower. A very good small local market a few minutes away on Wednesdays and Sundays. Other good food shops nearby made catering easy. Christopher, our host, was very friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome. We were able to 'pretend' we lived in Paris for the 9 days we stayed there. There is also a great small park around the corner, great for children.
Art Nouveau in the 15th
We stayed in this apartment for a week in May and
found it to be excellent, very well equipped,
beautifully furnished and perfectly located. Right
from the beginning of the process of requesting,
booking and emailing information of arrival and
check in, Chris and Oxana were fantastic always
prompt, clear and very, very helpful.
One of the nicest things about the apartment was a
welcome pack that included lots of information
about the area along with guided walking tours put
together by Chris. We really enjoyed the tours
particularly the Art Nouveau Architecture tour. In
a city where there is so much to see and very
tourist oriented, I found it refreshing to have a
personalized insiders guide to the neighborhood.
Cooking great food is something I love doing and
wanted to be able to do while in Paris. The other
great thing about the apartment is how well the
kitchen is equipped for cooking and its proximity
to a fantastic food market.
The apartment really enhanced our experience of
Thank you Chris and Oxana. Hope to be back again
Wonderful apartment, great location
We stayed in this lovely apartment with our ten
month old baby and found it to be an ideal base
from which to explore Paris.
The apartment itself is immaculate and has
everything you could possibly need for a
comfortable stay. Despite being in the middle of
the city, the apartment is quiet & peaceful. It's
probably worth knowing that the lift in the
apartment building is very small, which wasn't a
problem for us because we had a folding
pushchair, but it wouldn't fit a pram or a
The location is fabulous. Lots of lovely food shops
(including an incredible cheese shop) and plenty
of restaurants and cafes. There are two metro
stations less than five minutes from the
apartment, and a train station that takes you out to
Versailles in 25 minutes. Plus of course you can
walk to the Eiffel Tower. The area was very safe
and friendly and we really felt that we had a little
taste of 'real' Parisian life.
The owners of the apartment were very helpful
throughout the booking process and during our
stay. They replied promptly to emails, offered
help and advice about places to visit and were
friendly and pleasant to deal with.
All in all we had a delightful stay and wouldn't
hesitate to recommend this apartment. We would
certainly stay there again.

A home with great service
We stayed here twice, and made this cute apartment our home. It is perfect, but the truly outstanding thing was the service.
The location is perfect and Christopher also gives you a lot of information on Paris. He also allows early check-ins and late check-outs. This is huge -- getting off a long flight, the first thing you want is a nice shower. Also, we had a lot of changes in our times of arrival, and Christopher was OK with that -- I've been to B&B's that get upset if you say you're coming at 6 pm and then show up at 7 pm.
The second time we stayed at this apartment was because of the volcano. We checked out of our hotel and returned to this apt because Internet was superfast, thus enabling us to work, it was much more comfortable and convenient than the highly-rated tripadvisor hotel we'd been at. Again, service was incredible.
A slight negative is the small bathroom. We brushed our teeth and dressed outside the bathroom, and it was no problem. I would definitely recommend staying here.

fantastic location, great apartment
We stayed here for 4 nights during Sept 2009. Our 2 children aged 8 and 11 slept on the sofa bed. This apartment is well equipped, and has everything you need for a holiday. The location is perfect, we loved the fact that we were within walking distance to the Eiffel! This is a quaint apartment in a quiet residential area, and only a short walk to 2 metro stations. The owner, Chris, who lives with his family in an apartment in the same area, was a great host. He was extremely helpfull. Yes, the bathroom is small, but more than adequate. This is the perfect accommodation if you're looking for a comfortable, clean, neat, well-maintained, well-situated place to rest after a busy day exploring Paris. We will certainly go back! Spring Break 2010
We rented Eiffel Bartholdi for 13 nights for our 'once in a lifetime' trip to Paris. My husband, myself, our daughter, and her friend, shared the apartment for 1 week, my husband and I the second week.
The apartment was very comfortable. The towels and bedding were great. We used the kitchen to prepare dinner with items we purchased at the local grocery store and the markets that are held on Sunday and Wednesday, and we used the internet to send pictures and keep in touch with friends and family.
Previous reviews commented on the bathroom being small, yes it is but when you are on vacation, how much time do you actually spend in the bathroom? With four of us taking showers, we never ran out of hot water. All the necessities were provided: liquid hand soap, paper towels, bathroom tissue, laundry soap and fabric softener if you decide to use the washer; all I had to bring was my own shampoo and conditioner, I didn't have to pack a hairdryer, one was available for us to use.
When traveling, I usually have difficulty sleeping in other beds, we slept very well, the bed was comfortable, the area is very quiet, no barking dogs, no loud roommates as you would find in a hotel, and we felt safe in the neighborhood, even at 11:00 p.m. walking back from the Eiffel Tower.
Everything you need is in walking distance; pastries, bread, cheese, shopping, and restaurants. We sat at a bistro one evening enjoying a glass of wine and "boot watched". I was amazed at all the different styles of boots you can find in Paris! I bought a pair and brought them home with me.
Christopher and Oxona are great hosts, they checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and there were no issues with the apartment.
We plan on recommending Eiffel Bartholdi to friends who are also planning a trip to Paris later this year.
We really enjoyed our stay at Chris's apt. The
location was fantastic. Chris was an awesome
host for our stay. As we are Canadian he tried to
get us some welcome items. He was a great
host. Included when we arrived was a ton of
information about the area we were staying. This
included places to eat and shop. We would have
rated the apt perfect, except the only issue was
the size of the bathroom. Not that we were
surprised but if it was a little bigger that would
have made it perfect. We will definately stay with
Chris the next time we are in Paris. Cheers
Excellent classic Parisian apartment
We stayed mid Jan 2010 and we were 2 adults and 2 kids. The service from Chris and Oxana (owners) was great. They even help with getting Disney tickets for us which goes above and beyond. Directions were clear and getting the key was a breeze.
The apartment is small and the bathroom tiny but this was all made clear by Chris and we could see this from the video online. For 2 adults and 2 kids on holiday it was ideal.
The thing we loved the most about this apartment was the location. Everything you need at your fingertips and so easy to get around Paris from here. The markets on Wednesdays and Sundays are amazing. Next time we will plan our timings around this.
Loved staying here and would definitely stay here again.
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
We had the greatest time in this cute apartment. It is a very cozy and homely
place.Highly convenient due to the proximity of the train station, and the many
stores and cafes all within walking distance.
The apartment was well equipped for all our needs (it even had a hair
straightner). We loved the added touch of having a lighted Christmas tree, a
manger and a wonderful bottle of wine.
The bathroom was small but it did not inconvenience us. We would highly
recommend this place to stay.

Fantastic, authentic Parisien apartment - great location close t
We stayed in the Eiffel Bartholdi apartment in January 2010 for our honeymoon. The apartment was just as described by Chris and Oxana (the owners) and getting there from CDG airport was simple, thanks to Chris' excellent instructions. We had a fantastic time, the apartment was warm, cosy and very quiet. Located in residential area in the 15th Arrondissement, there are plenty of Bistros, Patisseries and Boulangeries to chose from. The Wednesday/Sunday market is a must. A short stroll to the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, the apartment is also very near at least 2 metro stations, so getting around Paris is easy - in fact the apartment is in an ideal location.
The owners, Chris and Oxana were most welcoming and very helpful. If you want an authentic Parisien apartment, this has to be your first choice. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending you stay there.

An authentic taste of Paris
The apartment more than lived up to expectations. It was ideally situated for getting around the city by Metro and within walking distance of many of the sights. The owners could not have been friendlier or more helpful in dealing promptly with a couple of minor problems. The apartmentas quiet, well equipped and extremely comfortable. Information sheets on the history and architecture of the neighbourhood were very informative and added considerably to our enjoyment. Similarly practical advice on where to shop locally was invaluable for self-catering. For eating out we were spoiled for choice, with the nearby restaurants, "Les Cocottes de Constant" and "Au Petit Sud" providing memorable meals. We would certainly recommend the apartment to anyone who wanted to experience an authentic taste of Paris.
We (2 adults and 2 small kids) stayed at the Apartment for 5 days in November. Overall we were very happy that we chose the place, and all our expectations were met or exceeded. Will not hesitate to go back and stay there when we are in Paris again.
Everyone is aware of the location being close to the Eiffel Tower. What we found also is that all other necessary amenities are very close by, and all within a short walking distance. What amused me was the size of the elevator, but that may be a European characteristic.
The apartment by itself was very well set up and stocked with all necessary items. It was very convenient to have a washing machine in the apartment, especially when we were travelling with kids. The apartment has a very good information material, books, DVDs to cater to all kinds of visitors.
Any review will be incomplete without mentioning the owner (Christopher). He was extremely helpful and a source of information for all our needs. He was available at all times of the day, and made sure that we did not face any difficulties. We also thought that the welcome bottle of wine was an extremely nice gesture.
Honestly, we cannot find anything negative about the apartment. Yes, if asked, we would have to say the size of the washroom, but Christopher had warned us way before we made the reservations. So we were prepared. What we found is that even though the size is small, it was okay for a few days.
Overall, we were very happy that we chose the apartment, and will not hesitate to stay there again.
We have just returned from a week visit in Paris staying at the Eiffel Bartholdi Paris Holiday Apartment. The apartment was perfect. I was traveling with my two children which made the size perfect. My son slept on the pull out bed in the living room which was very comfortable and the bedroom was also very pleasant. Having a kitchen for breakfast and evening snacks was a huge convenience. The washing machine was a nice perk allowing us to pack a little bit lighter for the week. There was an open market on Wednesday and Sunday that was fun to shop for food and other items. It was a close walk to the Eiffel Tower and Hotel d' Invalides. I highly recommend staying at this apartment if you plan to visit Paris.
A Great place to stay in Paris
The apartment was exactly as expected from the video link that Chris emailed us. The location was fantastic. It was great to be able to cook for ourselves for a change. Chris reccomended places to shop as well as resturants that were great. The information provided on local walks and local history was exceptional. The bathroom was small but hey we had a separate bedroom and the free internet and free phone calls to home (Australia) was great. From here you can easily walk to a park in the evening to watch the hourly light show on the Eiffel Tower that Chris told us about. We were invited up for a drink and chat but were unfortunately too exhausted to go. Great Place to Stay for a week or more.
The owners of this excellent apartment have done a fine job of equipping it with everything the visitor really needs. (Chris told me that he and Oxana lived in it themselves until their second child was born.) It's well laid out, wonderfully quiet and about four metro stops (i.e. ten minutes) from either Place de la Concorde or St. Germain, either of which qualifies as the center of Paris. I stayed in it for over two weeks without any problem or complaint. As others note, the bathroom is very small; that is the only real drawback.
The video Chris made of the apartment gives a very accurate idea of what it's like; there are no unpleasant surprises when you see the real thing.
This is the fifth apartment I have rented in Paris over the years and probably the best value--certainly the best of those currently available for rent.

Perfect Location, Great Apartment, Helpful Owners!
We had a wonderful stay at our apartment in Paris. The location is spectacular as it's near the intersection of 3 metro lines. It was the perfect size for two of us. It was very clean and surprisingly quiet. We loved having the washer to do laundry without wasting time in a laundromat (which was a block away btw).
Chris and Oxana were very friendly and offered to help with everything. It was great to have our own space but also have the owners only a block away to help with anything we needed.
The location/size/price combination was exceptional and would recommend this apartment to anyone.
Convenient stylish base for Parisien exploration
All four of us stayed for 5 blissfully sunny days, drinking in the delights of this neighbourhood. Chris and Oxana very kindly added another sofabed to allow both siblings to share in comfort. Breathtaking breakfast loveliness is 30 seconds away at the corner boulangerie/patisserie/cafe. Excellent Monoprix for groceries, and fabulous markets under the railway bridge on Sunday and Wednesday. Lovely quiet apartment with everything you need. Thank you again for a delightful and relaxing break.
Lovely apartment, great location with really helpful owners
We stayed at Eiffel Bartholdi in Autumn 2008. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The apartment was in a great location - away from the more traditional hotel areas which gave you a taste of the more authentic Paris. The local market was a great experience. The metro was a short walk away giving you easy access to the rest of Paris. The apartment itself was really lovely and comfortable and very well equipped. We will certainly return.
Great location, description is very accurate
We stayed here with our two kids aged 4 and 6 who slept in the living room on
the fold out sofa. It was perfect for our needs as we only stayed a few days.
Very central location which is easily accessible by two metro stations. Owners
only live a street away and were very friendly-easy to get access to key. The
bathroom is tiny but this is very clear before you stay. Kitchen has everything
you need. Clean and comfortable. Ideal for a couple-having our two kids
stretched it a bit. We had a great stay-loved the free phone calls to Australia.
Nice and quiet too considering it is very close to a major street.
Wonderful hospitality, out of the way neighbourhood
We loved our time here. Christopher, the owner, lives around the corner and
is unbelievably accessible and helpful. We turned up last minute, late at
night, unsure how long we would be there for, and he was so helpful it
made the whole experience wonderful.
The apartment itself is small and sweet, with a very tiny bathroom. It is well
stocked with plates, glasses and pans and the whole place was very clean.
You should know a bit about the area before you get here - we enjoyed it,
but it is a little out of the way: walking to The Louvre took us (admittedly
with a small child) about an hour. The apartment is about 5 minutes west of
the Champ De Mars, the park where the Eiffel Tower is situated. There's a
nice boulangerie on the corner, and everything you need in terms of shops
It's a great place to be to enjoy Paris, but if you are there for the first time
and hoping to hit all the main tourist destinations, you might aim for
somewhere nearer the 1st arrondissement.
Without a doubt, this will be the first place we try when we return to Paris.
Cute, clean, convenient, and excellent hosts.
We stayed here for a week in August, and Chris and Oxana couldn't have been more gracious. They helped us find a store to buy a power adapter for our laptop (we had forgotten ours), offered helpful advice on restaurants and places to visit, and kindly called a cab for us for our return trip to the airport.
The apartment is perfect for a couple, and could easily accommodate another person or two on the fold-out sofa in the living room. The bed was very comfortable. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and had breakfast there every morning. We got fresh baguettes each day from the bakery on the corner, which also offers sandwiches, salads, and pastries at reasonable prices.
It was an easy walk to the Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower, and the nearest metro stop is a half block away. There are several restaurants in the vicinity, and we especially liked "Le Dernier Metro" which Chris recommended. There are also a pharmacy, a wine shop, and a small grocer nearby, as well as several cash machines. On Wednesday and Sunday, we shopped for fresh food at the market on Boulevard Grenelle, under the metro. So we had fresh, delicious food to cook for dinner, if we chose to.
The bedroom and living room windows face the interior courtyard, so there was no street noise at all. There was no air conditioning, but we found we didn't need it, even in August. The apartment stayed nice and cool, and we could leave the windows open.
The only thing some people may not like is the tiny bathroom. It was very small, but that wasn't a problem for us, and wouldn't deter us from staying there again.
It was a great experience for us, and I'm so glad we chose this over an expensive hotel. This was my first time in Paris, and the apartment made our stay very comfortable.
Get a taste of city living.
Lovely apartment in an excellent location for exploring Paris. Good local shopping, tended to eat in which was very easy thanks to the well equipped kitchen. The use of internet connection and free phone calls were a bonus. The bathroom is a little cosy but functunal. I would have no hesitation in recommending this charming apartment.
I'd like to keep this for myself but...
Chris and his family treated me so nicely that I'm almost tempted to keep this little perfect apartment a secret for myself. I stayed in the apartment for about 9 months. It's just detail perfect, quiet and it feels like home. Every detail, down to the kitchen utensils, it's taken care of. It feels very French in its ambiance and it's very well served by trains to all major venues you might want to visit in Paris. I just wished I had a girlfriend at that time to share the romantic character of the apartment! Frank
Affordable, comfortable stay in Paris with knowledgable host
Thank you for all the information you gave us regarding touring Paris and its history. It certainly made our trip more enjoyable.
The outdoor market every other day just around the corner from the apartment was great to use.
As you said, the only concern is the very small bathroom. Apart from that the flat was lovely. And it was great to be able to phone the UK and US for free and to have wireless internet.
Thank you for your help.

Fantastic apartment in great location
Beautifully presented apartment in a great location - short walk to the Eiffel Tower and very easy access to Latin Quarter, Champs Elysees and central Paris.
We were three adults and one child, and we had plenty of room - the sofabed was very comfortable.
Chris and Oxiana have stocked the apartment with everything you could need for a break away, even hair tongs! No detail was forgotten.
Central to everything, but also very quiet.
The Rue Grenelle markets on a Sunday are amazing and not to be missed, and the corner boulangerie was fantastic for pastries and fresh bread etc.
Very Comfortable and Convenient Apartment
Our stay at Christopher?s apartment was WONDERFUL! The kitchen was perfect with everything included to make a delicious meal. The washing machine was very nice and we left with clean clothes. The front room was big enough for my parents, my two boys and myself to lounge comfortably in. The bedroom was cozy as well. The apartment is located within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. The metro is close by to get anywhere else you would like to go. There is a market down the street on the weekends also. If we ever go back we will be sure to stay there again. Christopher is a very kind and honest man to work with and he lives close by to help you with any questions or concerns. The only thing I can think of that was inconvenient was the elevator was out when we stayed so be sure you can climb stairs. I beleive the aparment complex fixed it when we left though. I would HIGHLY recommend this flat for a vacation or a rental. It was WONDERFUL and Christopher was So Kind!

The "Bijou" Apartment
This extremely well-situated apartment in Paris, was a joy to stay in. Spotlessly clean, well maintained, with all "mod-cons", including beautiful bath towels and high-quality bed-linen. I loved everything about it, and although it would be too small for anymore than 4 people staying, this would be off-set by it being in a lovely area.
I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone else wanting to stay in Paris - this is the perfect apartment to be in, and I had a great time enjoying its ambience, and what it had to offer.

Eiffel Bartholdi Paris Apartment- A lovely flat for a romantic w
It was all good for a long weekend. A nice flat. Bijou but in a cute and cosy kind of way for a couple. Place to cook, place to chill & a comfy bed. 2 mins walk from the Metro. In a friendly residential area- bars, bakeries, shops and a curry house for the traditional Friday night Ruby Murray. An excellent market on the Sunday kept us going for a couple of days. We self-catered mostly after long days out. About 5 minutes walk from that big pointy tower thing and the river which was a treat. Friendly communications from the owners and easy to arrange the keys and payment etc. If we return to Paris then we'd book again without hesitation.
Elegance and friendly service in a fantastic location
The flat was comfortable, well-equipped, and in a wonderful location. The service was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this flat to other holidaymakers.
We really had a nice stay in the apartment. It is situated very centrally, just down the street from the metro, the outdoor market, the boulangerie, and a nice cafe, le metropolitain. It was quite confortable, clean and quiet. They have all the necessary amenities, including, washer that also dries your clothes, a phone for certain calls (no cell phones), fold out bed if you have a guest, a nice armoir for your clothes and even an iron, I believe. The bed was confortable and linens clean. The only drawback was the bathroom is very small. To get out, you sort of turn in a circle, 180 degrees. Overall though it was well appointed for a decent price in a great central Paris location.
