A perfect location in the most beautiful city on earth!

Left on 05/02/2013 for a stay in April 2013

A little pied a terre wonderfully sitated at the foot of Dupleix metro within easy walking distance of major attractions and the conveniences required for your stay - a grocer, baker, pharmacy... all are right at your doorstep. The flat was secure, very quiet and fully stocked with all that you needed for a very pleasant stay. A detailed manual describes how the appliances work, good restaurants in the area and how to use the telelphone to dial calls that for certain areas in the world are at no additional charge (Canada for instance). They had wi-fi, movies and a TV with many channels though if you are in Paris it is a crime to stay in and watch TV!!
Very comfortable, friendly and an all around wonderful experience!!! We cannot wait to go back!

Perfect location, cosy and a warm homely feel

Left on 04/19/2013 for a stay in April 2013

We were met at the door by the friendly hosts who walked us through the apartment and made us feel so welcome. Even though the apartment is relatively small (by australian standards) our family of 5 (3 kids aged 5, 10, 11) felt right at home and very comfortable. It was so nice to return to the warm, beautifully decorated and secure apartment after a day exploring the beautiful city of Paris. The location is superb with several supermarkets and patisseries within a few short steps. The Eiffel Tower is a 10 minute walk away, the train just outside the door and another down the road, restaurants everywhere including a market (Sun + Wed) literally right outside. It's amazing how quiet the place is. The hosts also provided a folder with lots of information about how to get to the local attractions which was very helpful. We were delighted with the place and would definitely recommend it.

Successful Stay in Paris thanks to a great location

Left on 03/29/2013 for a stay in March 2013

It has been a very pleasant stay, the apartment is ideally located with the trains located nearby and a short walk to the Eiffel tower we have been able to see alot of Paris in a short period of time. The apartment was comfortable enough for our family of 5 (s boys 5,8, & 9) to provide some good rest in the evening.

From the apartment managers have been very helpful, prompt with all responses and very pleasant to deal with.

Fantastic apartment in a great location.

Left on 03/18/2013 for a stay in March 2013

From the day that we booked the apartment to the day we left, the service was great. Simple, friendly and very co-operative in all aspects from arriving to leaving. Patrick and Laetitia couldn't do enough for us. The apartment was small, functional and clean. Thank goodness for good heating as we had snow on our visit in March! As we arrived on Saturday evening, it was good to have coffee, tea and a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us. There were enough supplies for our first day until we could get some provisions for our wonderful two week stay. The location of the apartment is right in front of the markets, a two minute walk to Monoprix, and a great patisserie right across the road. Thank you Patrick and Laetitia for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Pleanty of Room for 4 adults

Left on 03/11/2013 for a stay in July 2012

There is plenty of room for four adults in the apartment. There is a comfortable double bed in the bedroom and a nice futon in the “living” area. The only drawback is that you must walk through the “living area” to get to the bath.

The bath is very small by american standards but quite nice and very functional. And, there is a “point of use” water heater that provides plenty of hot water.

The kitchen is also quite small by american standards but came in very handy as we made coffee and tea almost every evening. We did not cook, but hey we were in France, and there are plenty of good local bistros close by.
It was very hot outside during the day but quite comfortable in the apartment in the evenings.

It is all in all a very pleasant place to say and in a good location.

Left on 01/12/2013 for a stay in December 2012

We had a wonderful 10 day stay in the apartment. The location was excellent - shops, markets, cafes and everything we needed was all within walking distance. Booking the apartment, checking in and departing was very smooth due to the excellent communication and friendliness of the hosts Patrick and Laetitia. Patrick and Laetitia also have their own transfer service which was extremely helpful. We highly recommend this apartment for a holiday in Paris, and we thank Patrick and Laetitia for being wonderful hosts.

Left on 12/27/2012 for a stay in December 2012

We completely enjoyed our stay at La Grenouille de Grenelle. Patrick was very helpful, arranging transportation to and from the airport, and answering all of our questions. The apt is cosy, but we managed with our 3 teenage children. It is well arranged, and set up for cooking. The neighborhood is the best part! Right beside a metro line, so you can go anywhere, but in the neighborhood there are brasseries, bakeries, stores, and a street market on Wed and Sun. It's a fun neighborhood to explore, and every place we went people were very friendly and helpful!

A perfect homely retreat in a superb, convenient location.

Left on 12/01/2012 for a stay in November 2012

This was our second stay at this lovely apartment - we wrote a review for our first visit, so we will keep this one brief. The organisation, from placing the booking to being met at the apartment with keys, was efficient and friendly. The detailed information provided for guests - relating to both facilities at the apartment and local amenities - was very thorough and helpful. With two metro stations within a few minutes' walk, it was easy to get to wherever we wanted to go. The immediate area is lively without being touristy, with lots of good shops, cafes and restaurants - none overly expensive. Only two minor criticisms would be the lack of a full-length mirror and the quality of the towels, which were rather small, thin and rough. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Thank you Laetitia and Patrick!

Logement idéal pour famille nombreuse pour découvrir Paris

Left on 11/11/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Left on 10/12/2012 for a stay in October 2012

      Perfection in Paris

Left on 10/06/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We were greeted by Patrick at the train station and that was the beginning of a perfect week. On the drive to the apartment Patrick pointed out the highlights of the city and made several recommendations regarding tours, restaurants, etc. You can easily walk to many of the main attractions. The Eiffel Tower is 10 minutes away. The market on Sundays and Wednesdays is a great experience. Make sure you drop in to "Au Dernier Metro". Its a Great local bistro with good food and a terrific atmosphere. We are already recommending this to family and friends !

      Feeling at home in Paris

Left on 09/24/2012 for a stay in August 2012

My family and I stayed at La Grenouille de Grenelle for 5 days at the end of august, and we had a great time! It was our second time in Paris, so we had visited most of the attractions before, but staying in the city centre, enabled us to to go to Eiffel Tower as often as we like, because it was just a few minutes (walk) away! There were lots of cafes and supermarkets nearby, so we never ran out of food! :). The apartment itself was small, but cosy for a family of five (2 adults, 3 young children). We were in Paris but felt really at home, as the apartment was well-equipped, enabling us to have home-cooked meals and do our laundry. Parking was a bit difficult at times, being in the city centre, but we managed to find free parking. The hosts, Laetitia and Patrick, were really gracious and efficient, right from I first contacted them for booking, till the day they refunded my security deposit. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family! :)

We really enjoyed our stay in Paris - a family with 3 children.

Our stay was definitely enhanced by this apartment. It was well equipped and in a great location.

I really liked the information available for those staying in the apartment and the basic essentials that were available upon our arrival.

Whilst the apartment was quite small, our family of 5 found it very suitable.

I would recommend this apartment to others.

The location was great with plenty of restaurants and shops for our daily needs nearby including a street market right in front of the building on Wednesdays and Sundays. Laeitia pointed out the Monoprix a few blocks down for groceries but there is also a discount grocery store across the street that is cheaper. There are two metro station within a few blocks that got us to every place we wanted to go. Overall a great experience!

Traveled with 3 kids and it was the first time for us in Paris. Apartment was as described, efficiently laid out, clean and felt like home away from home. Apartment is small but this is Europe, still comfortable fit for two adults and 3 kids. The location was great, close to Eiffel Tower which kids adored, Metro outside and an amazing market just outside of the apartment twice a week.

Laetitia was very helpful, traveled quickly to give us the key in the morning despite the fact that I had trouble with my phone and we could not speak properly.
The stay was wonderful, I would do it again with pleasure.

Our family of five had a lovely stay in this apartment. The location is very convenient with the metro close by and an easy walk to the eiffel tower. The area is close to everything but not too touristy. The apartment is small but this did not bother us as we did not spend much time in the apartment. The apartment had everything we needed (although a small place to hang clothes would help). The local market across the road is fantastic. Patrick was very helpful in making our stay pleasant and ensuring our transit to and from airport was easy. We have already recommended this apartment to others and friends of ours have already booked for next year.

Wonderful stay at a great apartment close to the Eiffel Tower

Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We stayed at The Grenelle Frog at the end of June (2012). The location and size of the apartment worked well for our family of five (3 adults and 2 children). It might be too small for those that like their space, but for us it was just right. We didn't spend a lot of time at the apartment as we were out seeing the sights each day. The apartment was clean and met our expectations.
We traveled via the metro during our stay. There is a stop right outside your front door, which is very convenient. It is also nice that you are within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower.
It was fun shopping at the Rue de Grenelle market on Sunday. We gathered items for dinner that night. It was a nice change to be able to eat in.
Patrick was great to work with leading up to our stay, greeting (w/ Laetitia) us upon our arrival and transporting us to the airport. He is very personable and welcoming.

Little Gem in a Great Location

Left on 07/02/2012 for a stay in June 2012

This was my 7th visit to Paris so I knew where the apartment was located and knew my way around the city. Stayed in the apartment with my elderly mother. My mother wanted to experience a market in Paris so we went to the one across the street on Wed. My mum was surprised that it was more than food and she really enjoyed it. We spent a great deal of time in the apartment as my mum ended up getting sick (nothing at all to do with the apartment). There is a metro stop right across the street and another (with links to different lines) just two blocks away.

If I could make a few recommendations: make a hand towel available for the bathroom, as the bathtub is so high it may be easier for elderly people to get in the tub if there was a grab bar and coat it the tub with non-slip surface or a bathmat. I personally had no difficulty but my elderly mother did and I had to assist her.

Overall, it is a great little place in the 15th and I would both recommend it to others and stay there again.

Spent 5 nights here with 3 college aged kids. Found it cozy but not crowded. It was closer to Eiffel Tower than expected. We enjoyed being close to tourist area but not actually in it.We were able to go to the farmers market twice buying produce and other goodies. The apartment manual was invaluable for locating good bakeries - Secco across the street was our favorite, cheese shop etc. Being in the courtyard we did not hear any street noise. Being in an old building we did hear our neighbors. Nothing bad but we did try to keep our noise down too. The Dvds about Paris were fun.

Very convenient location, very compact, but efficently laid out

Left on 06/18/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Laetitia (owner) and Patrick (manager) provide a fairly comprehensive note on the apartment, location, transport, eating and shopping options as well as a list of directions and dos and donts. To me it was welcome and showed how well organised they are. It helped us a lot. There were 5 of us- 2 adults and 3 children all aged 10 and we found the apt compact but cozily comfortable. No more than 2 people can stand in the kitchen at a time, but then unless you're planning an elaborate dinner, there would not be a need for more. Its amazing how Laetitia has packed a kitchen of some 50 sq ft with a range, microwave, shelves, enough utensils and cutlery, washing machine, dish washer, etc. The area is very convenient- on a major boulevard with the nearest metro being only a minute away by walking. Eiffel Tower is a 20 min walk and everything else therefore is very convenient. The neighbourhood is also quite nice- though not remarkable- not touristy either. The apt is accessible thro a winding staircase and is one story above ground without a lift. We did not have any issues with that tho.

      Lovely apartment, fabulous location

Left on 05/20/2012 for a stay in May 2012

I stayed here with my two ‘in their twenties’ daughters. The apartment was larger than I expected, a real gem. Quiet, safe location yet in the heart of everything. More locals than tourists! Three Metro stations within a 5 min walk (one of them directly across the street). Although it is so close to the metro line, it overlooks a small courtyard at the back of the building so you don't get any street noise, although you do hear the neighbouring residents moving around from time to time. We had no noise issues when it came to sleeping in the very comfortable beds which had duvets-my favourite.
The market which occurs on Wed and Sun is fabulous. Lots of fruit, veg, flowers, bread, fish as well as food being prepared on the spot. A perfect place to pick up food if you want to eat a few meals in the apartment. Lots of bistros/brasseries, bakeries, banks in the area. The quiche at Secco across the street is delicious! Laetita has provided an excellent ‘house book’ with photos. It also gives lots of info on surrounding businesses. We arranged for pick-up and drop-off at the airport and Patrick was able to oblige with both requests. He is a wonderful host to his city and property and so pleasant (despite having his time wasted with our delayed arrival).
The small kitchen is equipped with everything you need. There is a washer, but no dryer option so if you do laundry before you leave be sure to leave time for it to dry!
Although I would recommend this apartment for older travellers I would stress that you must not have difficulty climbing stairs.
We loved our stay in the apartment and would definitely book it again when traveling to Paris!

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy apartment in Paris. Great location, right across from a Metro station with lots of surrounding shops and restaurants. The management team was great. They replaced the DVD player immediately after we discovered that the remote control doesn't work. The selection of Dvds were much appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was sufficient. However, the bathroom is quite small and the washer did not have a dryer option so we had to hang the clothes on a drying rack. The apartment is located in an old building that's very charming, but does not have much in terms of sound insulation so you can generally hear your neighbors. We understand that it's very typical of Parisian apartments. Overall, it's a great place to stay for an "authentic" Paris experience.

Great location for a family of five with three teenage daughters

Left on 03/01/2012 for a stay in February 2012

It's always difficult for a family of five with teenagers to find a good place to stay. From the moment we first contacted Patrick & Laetitia they were great! They very responsive to all of our questions and made us feel very welcome; Patrick greeted us at a nearby café and explained everything to us about the apartment and the local area. The kitchen had some nice amenities including coffee, etc. And, Patrick left a nice welcome-bottle of wine for us to enjoy our first night.

The location is what I like the most about this apartment. It's a short walk to the Eiffel Tower (where you can catch the tour buses / boats, etc.) and has many restaurants, shops (groceries, etc.) in the same neighborhood.

The apartment itself is classic architecture - beautiful, with antique molding and classic wood floors. The only downside for me was that I could hear walking and talking in the adjacent apartments. My wife and girls didn't mind, and I was lucky to have some earplugs so it all worked out.

We loved the location of the flat and the amenities provided. The instruction manual was so helpful, we frequently used it to check about places to eat, transportation tips, instructions for various things in the flat, etc. We slept five in the flat for a few nights, and it was comfortably cozy. Our only complaint is that the bathroom was uncomfortably cold as the window kept falling open and there is no source of heat in there. Instead of striving to provide white linens, I would suggest providing darker ones (maybe navy or something like it) if the objective is to keep them looking new. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it for a stay in Paris, for first timers and people returning!

Thank you for a lovely stay in Paris. The apartment was comfortable and quiet, the beds were great, the location couldn't be better. We are a family of 5 (3 kids) - it was fine, but I think it would be a tight squeeze for 4 or 5 adults. I would stay here again.

we were picked up by the lovely Patrick from the airport and driven to this charming apartment. Patrick showed us around the neighbourhood and the sights on the way which was nice. There was a bottle of wine and some groceries waiting for us on arrival. The apartment was more spacious than most paris apartments. Very comfy and clean. The location cant be beaten with the eiffel tower less than 10 min walk, metro station across the road, supermarket a few doors down and a fantastic street market right outside the front door 2 days a week. The neighbourhood is very french, fantastic shopping and eating with most of the people locals. Would definately stay here again, loved it.

Easily booked from aussie, was a delight to stay in this fab location - 10 mins walk to Tower, Seine river boat tours, open top tourist buses, & heaps more. Great facilities in kitchen & bathroom & super king-sized bedding config. Market out the front of the building on a Sunday(?). Don't hesitate it's a place worth staying for a real Parisian experience.

      Amazing stay in Paris

Left on 01/07/2012 for a stay in December 2011

Review way overdue... I've been always wanting to go to Paris and finally got a chance to go in December. All the hotels around Paris were somewhat expensive during this time which was why we decided to rent an apartment. We arrived by train and Patrick picked us up. He showed us around Paris for a little bit before he took us to the apartment. The apartment was really cute -- typical of a Parisian apartment. The location of the apartment was absolutely wonderful. Two blocks down was a supermarket -- Monoprix (Je t'aime Monoprix), right across was the metro, and so many cute bistros/brasseries around the apartment. On Wednesday and Sunday mornings there is a wonderful market right across the street where you can pick up many fresh groceries, vegetables, bread, cheese, etc. Also, the apartment is only about 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Overall, my husband and I enjoyed our stay in Paris. If we ever come back and visit, I will not hesitate to book this place again. Thank you very much Patrick for all your help and for making our stay absolutely incredible!!!

I stayed here for my 21st birthday with 4 friends. The apartment was just the right size for us. It was in the perfect location, not far from the metro station and Eiffel tower. Also there was plenty of amenities in the nearby area. Would definitely the bakery just across the street from which we got fresh croissants and bread each morning.
Letitia was fab when arranging everything and made everything so easy.

      cool area to stay

Left on 12/15/2011 for a stay in December 2011

The apartment was clean and secure but we felt it may be slightly too cosy for any more than 3 people. However our favourite part of this apartment was the location, a short walk to the eiffel tower and a metro line directly opposite make it a great base for sightseeing but we also loved the shops, bistros and bars that are right next to the apartment and after a busy day of sightseeing it was nice to head back to the apartment area and sit in one of the small but friendly bars to enjoy a nice bottle of wine. Overall just a cool little place to stay.

      Cosy & Comfortable!

Left on 12/15/2011 for a stay in November 2011

We had a comfortable stay in this cosy apartment. It is rather small and best suited for 3 persons or less, but if you're on a tight budget and don't mind the squeeze, this is good value!

The tiny kitchen is surprisingly fully equipped with both oven/microwave, washing machine and even a dishwasher! Would be nice to have soup bowls and some dishwasher towels (which we've brought along after reading earlier reviews).

Initially, we had some problem communicating with the owner (probably due to her busy schedule) and with Patrick coming onboard to assist, it has improved.

Due to cabin crew strike, we had to extend 1 more day and fortunately, Patrick was very helpful in the entire process in extending our stay and sending us to the airport.

Fantastic weekend stay at La Grenouille de Grenelle

Left on 10/13/2011 for a stay in October 2011

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend at the end of September.
Our first trip to Paris was greeted with fantastic and hot sunshine, and after many hours of internet searching for accomodation, a great apartment to stay in.
We received comprehensive details from Laetitia throughout the booking process, including arrival instructions that went smoothly and without hitch. On arrival Laetitia met us to leave some wine and fresh bread, and talked us through the apartment.
The apartment is in a great location, just a 1 minute walk from the Duiplex metro station. Everything was in good order throughout and well provided for by way of appliances, there's even a phone giving free calls to most landline destinations. Overall it was all in a very clean and tidy condition.
Although it is so close to the metro line, it overlooks a small courtyard at the back of the building so you don't get any street noise, although you do hear the neighbouring residents moving around from time to time.
There's a comprehensive "house book" recommending places to eat etc, and we had a great late evening meal at the bistro (I foget its' name) as you come out the apartment 2 - 3 doors to your left. But there's loads of places around. The great thing we found was that the area isn't "tourist-y", and you do feel immersed in the parisian life-style.
It was truly a our oasis away from the hot and sticky hustle and bustle of Paris.
We enjoyed, and will hopefully return again to La Grenouille de Grenelle.

The house book supplied was full of information. Our Hostess Laetitia was so welcoming and accomodating, making booking, paying, arriving leaving so easy. The neighbourhood is buzzing, the boulangerie and supermarket are across the street and there are plenty of middle range Paris brasseries/cafes close by. We had the perfect weekend in Paris. Staying at The Grenouille was so different to the standard hotel holiday, we felt immersed in Parisian life, if only for the weekend.

What a sweet little apartment! The bed was the most comfortable one I have ever slept in and the apartment had everything one could need including some Paris related Dvds and a very nice bottle of wine - thank you! I could really imagine living in Paris and having this as my home, we felt very secure and cosy and loved the old and new style combination. Would I recommend it to people as a play to stay? Already have! Staying in this area of Paris was great - it was good to be able to do some affordable shopping in the local shops and at the market conveniently right outside the front door! We found ourselves taking the Metro first thing in the morning and ambling back home via the Eiffel Tower at the end of the day. Although we were on here for 3 nights we really made the most of it and were very grateful to Laetitia for the late checkout which allowed us to have a full day on our last day. Top tip for sightseeing when staying for only a few days - book your tickets in advance! It wasn't worth us getting the ParisPass but advance tickets meant that we could jump most of the queues at the big attractions. Best thing? The Louvre. A top tip for visiting here is to select and print out a Thematic Tour from their website before you leave home. We chose 'The Louvre - Outsize' tour which was fantastic as we saw a great selection of the various sections of the Louvre which I'm sure we would never have managed to get around off our own backs as it's so vast. Also we did the tour backwards, slightly confusing!, but it meant that we could go straight up to see the Mona Lisa before all the crowds poured in, it was still very very busy and that was at 9.45am, and then start our trail from the room next door (albeit in reverse).
So all in all we had a fantastic trip to Paris and can't wait to come back again - thanks Laetitia! x

We had never traveled to Europe and we wanted to experience it like residents as much as possible so rented La Grennelle for a week with our two teenage daughters and 8 year old son. We found it through Flipke.com saw it's location, price and read the reviews and we were very pleased. The metro was across the street, the Eiffel Tower, and water taxis were a short walk away and there were many restaurants, bars and bakeries in all directions. The bakery across the street was a great place to visit each morning for croissants and on Sunday there was a market right across the street offering fresh produce, meat, cheese, homemade pasta and many other items. We felt lucky to have found this apartment to stay in.
The apartment offered a washing machine which we needed because we had gone to Paris after a week of camping in Sarlat, France. The kitchen was well equipped and we made use of it daily. We easily found a local grocery store and we prepared at least one meal daily.

There were five of us and one bedroom, but the kids slept in the bedroom with three twin beds and we slept in a very comfortable Eurolounger. I believe it was queen size.

The neighborhood was very safe and the apartment very secure.

Put simply, we could not have been happier with our dealings with the owner and the apartment. Firstly, the location is superb. A stone's throw from the metro station (Dupleix) and a short walk from the Eiffel tower. Located in the back of the complex it was exceptionally quiet. The only noise I heard was the chirping of birds every morning when I woke up. Whilst compact in size, it was perfectly functional for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. The thought that has gone into making this a comfortable stay was very much appreciated. The basket of traditional French goodies to celebrate the one year anniversary and the selection of Paris related Dvd's are two such examples. I would thoroughly recommend this place to others. I just hope that this does not make it too hard to book it should I return again at some point in the future. Thank you Laetitia.

This aparment is in a really great location, within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and just across the road from a metro station. The local market was just outside the front door too. Whilst compact, the apartment had a really cosy feel to it and it certainly wasn't too small for me and my partner and our two children. It had everything necessary to enjoy our stay and I loved the little notes that Laetitia had left around to help with the use of the various devices in the apartment. Laetitia herself seemed very friendly, although we didn't meet her in person, she did telephone us. I would recommend this as being a much better option than a hotel and using the well provided kitchen saved a lot of money on Parisian restaurant prices.

Everything went so smoothly, from booking to meeting Laetitia with keys. The apartment was perfect - very traditional, with lots of character, but with all mod cons. And the location was fantastic, too, with lots of eateries, local shops, two metro stations within a few minutes walk, and also walking distance up to the river Seine and Eifel Tower. A quiet residential area, but lively enough with a good mix of locals. Felt very safe. Laetitia pays attention to all the details, and there was lots of useful information in the apartment, plus a lovely welcoming gift of some French specialities to celebrate her first year of renting the property. I cannot fault it at all, except for a lack of kitchen cloths for drying dishes/hands. And that is such a small thing, I almost feel ashamed to mention it!

      Great Parisian apartment

Left on 03/23/2011 for a stay in March 2011

we took the adventurous route and took the train into Paris. Would have cost same amount to take taxi with family of four, and got to apt faster (one person selling tickets for train early am with lineup out the door). Karim was very welcoming despite me having troubles using the phones at the airport to call his mobile.

this apartment was very clean, tastefully decorated and had an excellent "house book" which left all instructions (with photos!) regarding the apt in it. It also had local sites/diners/museums etc listed with comments. We loved the creperie (Blanche)! The beds were comfy with duvets! A bed for each, for family of 4 in Paris was tough to find! The bathroom was very modern. The boys loved the selection of Dvds of English movies filmed in Paris...all so thoughtful for the tourists visiting.

Superb location, next to subway (60 sec), in a hidden courtyard (quiet) and living with the locals. The Sunday morning market was wonderful, and everyone visiting Paris should see it! Ten min walk to Eiffel Tower, which is stunning day and night.

got to check out later than 1000 as flight was leaving late in day, and next guests were not coming til later. Wonderful stay, highly recommend. Kids want to come here again!

A friend and I rented apt.s, throughout 3 countries in Europe. Never having done anything like this before, I was a little apprehensive. From my first inquiry to Laetitia she was very responsive and always helpful in making us feel comfortable about our arrival in Paris and staying at her lovely apt. It was always nice to come home to an apt., instead of a hotel room. Laetitia has thought of everything and it shows. The location was ideal as it is in a populated area, that was active, but not overly touristy. You really got a taste of the local lifestyle. We always felt safe and secure as well. From the apt. we were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Invalides and other places. For those who choose, the Metro is close by. Lot's of restaurants around to choose from. Just don't miss Secco across from the apt. My personal favorite, however, is the open air market on Sunday's and Wednesday's right out in front. It has everything, so don't miss it. Thank you Laetitia for being a great hostess, always concerned about your guests. Thank you to Bernard as well for all of his help. If I return to Paris I will return to your apt.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a 3 week trip in Europe, which culminated with a 4 day stay at La Grenouille de Grenelle. We simply could not have been more pleased! After staying in so many lovely, but oh-so-small, hotel rooms, the apartment was a wonderful change. Laetitia met us as arranged and things went smoothly throughout our stay. She has equipped her apartment with everything one needs to be comfortable. Her book of instructions covers everything you need to know about the apartment and the neghborhood. Laetitia even had waiting for us, a lovely bouquet of roses for us, in honor of our anniversary! We loved the location for shopping on Rue de Commerce, the Grenelle Market on Sunday and Wednesday, and the short walk to the Tour Eiffel, Invalides, and the Rodin Museum. Convenience to the Metro was perfect for further exploration. (Don't miss Pere Lachaise!) My tip for anyone visiting Paris would be,
make the effort to learn a few French phrases. Parisians are so gracious and charming if you make an attempt at their lovely language. A French speaking waiter at a close-by restaurant brought us after-dinner cordials after he and I laughed our way through our language attempts! All in all this was our favorite spot on our trip.

This is a great rental for someone who wants to experience real Paris and not have to deal with hotels. It is a very clean, comfortable, and cozy appartment with everything you need right there. Stayed with my 2 sons aged 8 and 10 and it was space enough for us. The windows open onto a courtyard to the rear of the building so it is very quiet, ( not onto the Blvd de Grenelle). Not much of a view, but this was not expected for the price, and we really spent very little time in there. The neighborhood has all the convenience stores and there are several bakeries. No need to spend money on expensive breakfasts in restaurants. Arrival procedure was easy enough -we were met at the appartment as planned - no fuss. Thanks to Laetitia for everything. Loved the free phone calls to UK and USa too.

For a non-French speaking americans, surprisingly we didn't feel any barriers. Gosh the food was absolutely fabulous and the people just charming. We want to come back!

      Excellent Paris apartment

Left on 06/02/2010 for a stay in April 2010

La Grenouille de Grenelle was an excellent Paris apartment complete with everything we needed. It is centrally located in a quiet part of the city and moments from the Eiffel Tower. We used the free Velo bicycle system (with bikes outside of the apartment) to cycle throughout the city and this was easily possible from the location.

The apartment itself is perfect - it has a spacious bedroom, cute living room and functional kitchen. It was very pleasant to stay in and as it was off the street it was extremely quiet with only the sound of birds. There is also a tv, dvd player etc.

Overall, it was great value and I would definitely recommend the apartment particularly to couples.

      Thanks to Laetitia!

      La Grenouille - leaps ahead

Left on 05/07/2010 for a stay in April 2010

We booked at the last minute and from the word go we received excellent information and communication from Laetitia who owns it. Any questions were immediately answered.

The apartment is in a very good location if you want the feel of real Paris. Within 10 minute walk of the Eiffel tower and yet in a quiet neighbourhood with small bistro's nearby a couple of good bakers and round the corner an award winning cheese shop not to be missed. Don't miss the Sunday morning market either where apart from your usual fruit, veg flowers and fish you can buy paella freshly cooked or a violin from the nextdoor stall ! Once you have seen all the sights, this is what you really come to Paris for.

As for the apartment it worked well for 2 adults and 2 children. The sofa bed was a pleasant surprise, much the best I have slept on. The apartment was also very well equipped and I can't think of anything we needed that wasn't there.

Right beside the metro stop but out of earshot of it, this apartment is not particularly big but it is perfectly formed and is good value for money.

Enjoy it if you can. We did.

      Great Apartment in Fantastic Location

Left on 04/29/2010 for a stay in April 2010

We received a friendly welcome by the manager who
met us at the apartment soon after arriving in
Paris. We were given local information and tips
for our stay. The apartment, which had been newly
renovated, was immaculately presented and featured
all you could want for your stay in Paris. The
location of the apartment is very central, close
to a metro stop and within walking distance to
major attractions. There are some great little
      bistro's, patisseries and supermarkets only
seconds from your front door. The weekly market
(Wednesdays) opposite the apartment building is
fantastic for fresh food. The manager was
extremely accommodating and flexible with all
      accommodation arrangements, including our arrival
and departure times. It was a relaxing,
comfortable and enjoyable stay. I can't wait to
      visit and stay again.

      Excellent Service

Left on 04/26/2010 for a stay in April 2010

We had booked 'La Grenouille' for 2 weeks and it was very easy to organise via email with Laetitia...until the volcano erupted in Iceland! We had to cancel, unfortunately, but Laetitia could not have been more understanding and sympathetic - she even rang us in Australia to see if she could help us find some alternative.
I can't praise the service we had from Laetitia highly enough and she even managed to let the apartment for the period we were supposed to be there and contacted us immediately to let us know that we could have a full refund - the money was in my Paypal account a day later! She wouldn't even accept my offer to pay for the phone call and her time.
We will certainly try to book with Laetitia for our next visit to Paris - honest, reliable service is priceless.

We enjoyed staying at this apartment. It is lovely and nicely appointed, totally quiet, and equipped with anything one would need.
on Sundays there is a wonderful street market right in front and there are all kinds of interesting stores, bakeries, and restaurants in the neighborhood. Highly recommended!
