In our three vacation apartments, we offer our guests relaxing or exhausting vacation days in pleasant atmosphere. As you wish, you can either relax from the stress of the everyday troubles, or use the nature of the Harz to keep body and mind fit.

Our vacation apartment 1 is on the upper floor. It is furnished in rustic style, giving it a comfy atmosphere. The spacious living/sleeping room is complemented by separate kitchen and bathroom.

The living area includes a nice couch to relax quickly or lounge for a longer while. Of course, there is tv with cable reception giving you all the usual programs, and a stereo.

The sleeping corner contains two beds and, of course, the appropriate wardrobes. There is also a third bed, and additional bedding can be provided.

The kitchen is equipped in modern and comfortable ways, with the complete equipment for excellent cooking, e.g. electric stove with baking oven, fridge, dishwashing machine. Of course, there is also coffee maker, microwave, toaster and water kettle.

Naturally, the vacation apartment contains a modern bathroom with shower and toilet.

Laundry machine can be used for a small fee.

Prices and Further Info:

The apartment prices also include free admission to the Bodetal Spa, daily without limit. Thus, you can not only go for hikes, but also go swimming or have saunas to your heart’s content. The spa is only a few minutes of walking away from the apartments.

Driving Directions Hanover Airport:

This unit is located conveniently near Hanover Airport. From Hanover Airport the distance to the unit at Karl-Marx-Strasse 5, 6502 Thale is about 156 km (97.5 miles), approximately a about 1 hour 39 mins drive by car. In addition, there are good public transportation options available for Thale, in case you don't want to rent a car. At the top of this page is also a map with the exact location of the object.

Thanks to our central location, most stores, supermarkets, the train station and attractions such as the Bode valley, the cable car to the “witches’ dance ground,” the Bauspielhaus and the chair lift to the Rosstrappe can be reached on foot within minutes.
Thale is an ideal starting point for hiking, family, short and culture vacations in the Harz.
Attractions and Excursions:
In and around Thale, nature lovers as well as culture buffs can find many interesting attractions. The Hexentanzplatz (witches’ dance grounds) is certainly a highlight of Thale. Opposite to that, there is the Rosstrappe. According to legend, the evil Bodo (after whom the river was named) chased a maiden who rejected him. The beautiful king’s daughter rode her horse and jumped across the river – a jump which left the hoof imprint of her horse, the Rosstrappe. The evil Bodo tumbled into the river and drowned in the Bode river..
Of course, you can follow the trails of this and many other legends at location, right here. In the summer season, you can experience the unique Bergtheater (mountain theater) on the Hexentanzplatz. Wherever you go, you are unlikely to find a similar institution anywhere else
The animal park is wholly dedicated to local fauna and flora. The new bear’s kennels and wolf pen, which you can enter – albeit, of course, on a bridge above the wolves – should be mentioned. From our vacation apartments, it takes only a few minutes of walking to reach the cable cars by which you can reach the Hexentanzplatz or the Rosstrappe; there is also a hiking trail

More travel info about Thale: Thale is a secluded town in the legendary Harz mountains in Saxony-Anhalt. Hike up the Bode river valley to the Hexentanzplatz (Witches' Dancing-place) and admire the dramatic scenery of this beautiful and romantic area (little known to westerners before German reunification in 1989). Goslar, Goettingen, and Quedlinburg, each with impressive medieval old town centers, are all within close driving distance.
