Mt Pleasant sits on the hillside amongst massive trees over looking the Firth of Thames and Thames township. It is only a short walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants and the Information Centre. There are stunning views and one can relax and watch the sun go down in the evening. We started our trip from auckland and were so pleased to have booked this B&B.; It was a 1.5 hour trip from auckland and with the 3 young kids, we are so glad that we decided to spend the night there instead of pushing on through to Coromandel proper. This lovely host couple were so accomodating with the kids. The downstairs of the house is totally private with 2 bedrooms and a sitting room with tv and the beds are were very comfortable. They gave us information for dinner choices and the breakfast was yummy and very generous, several options for the kids. Thames has plenty to do with the kids so we are glad that we didn't pass it up!
