The Island: Virgin Gorda is a very special place. If you want to enjoy some of the most beautiful, quiet beaches, be greeted by an absolutely wonderful native population, and simply relax and enjoy, then Virgin Gorda may just be paradise.
Casita: Casita is a beautiful studio house situated on the property. Although easily accessible from Las Brisas it is separate and because of the exceptional landscaping, totally private. Built in a contemporary Mediterranean style it is open, bright and airy. Featuring a king size bed, a small but workable kitchen, your own private fish shaped swimming pool, porches, BBQ, etc. it is the perfect house for a couple.
Las Brisas: Built in the same architectural style, Las Brisas is situated about 150 feet south of Casita. It sits a little higher so has somewhat better views and, oh, the breezes! The complex consists of 2 separate bedroom buildings and a main house which includes the kitchen and living room areas. The kitchen is very well equipped and of a very good size. You have your own pool, hammocks, and beautiful gardens. There is a spiral stairway to a rooftop deck which makes the perfect spot to end the day with a cocktail as you watch the sun go down. In spite of its proximity to the Baths it remains totally private because of the landscaping, which is just extraordinary. Just outside your own little gate is Mad Dog or if you prefer something a little more formal Top of the Baths with a full menu is right there too .
The wonderful folks at Guavaberry manage the property. Maid service is provided every day by charming staff. Guavaberry maintains a very well stocked commissary just down the road from the house where you can buy just about everything you need for your stay. In summary we can safely say that this is a 5 star property on a 5 star island. We can't wait to get back!

we actually rented the little studio villa called La Casita, part of Las Brisas. It was perfect for a couple, beautifully furnished, had our own private beach just 5 mins away, steps to The Bathes for which Virgin Gorda is famous, the villa was outstanding, beautiful ocean view, our own private pool and hammocks etc.the outdoor shower was so cute and fun! the staff at Guavaberry were also fantastic and all our needs were met promptly and efficiently. Getting there is a bit of a drag but otherwise it was truly beautiful and a very relaxing place to be. There is not much to do other than dine, drink and enjoy the beautiful beaches and water sports so if you are into beautiful beaches, warm water, snorkeling and generally having a nice relaxing time this is the place for you. I enthusiastically recommend it!

30226Great Vacation House
Left on 02/22/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Las Brisas is a very nice vacation house well-situated on the island of Virgin Gorda.
The house itself has two bedrooms, the master and a seperate bedroom/bathroom. There is a large living room, dining area and kitchen. The house has a pool in between the main house and seperate bedroom, which is perfect for cooling off in the afternoons. There is also a bar area which is nice for having a gathering by the pool.
Probably the best feature, in my opinion, of the house is the deck built on top of the roof of the main house. You have a great view of the island, eastern coast, and the channel.
Las Brisas can live up to it's name of "the breezes" and it typically has a decent breeze to keep you cool. That is, unless, the wind stops completely and then, the whole island swelters! Even so, every room has a good ceiling fan to keep you cool.
The house has a full kitchen with all the necessary cookingware. It also has an entertainment system (TV, stereo, etc).
The house isn't close to a beach; at least not as close as other properties operated by Guavaberry Spring Bay, but you can easily walk (10-15 min) or drive (@ 5 min) to one of several beaches (Spring Bay, Little Trunk).
My only complaint with Las Brisas can also be a positive and that is it's proximity to the Top of the Baths and the Mad Dog. It is really nice to be able to just cross the street and you are treated to tasty drinks at the Mad Dog or fantastic dining at the Top of the Baths. This is a downside when a couple hundred people from cruise ships are dumped off less than a hundred yards from where you are trying to take a nap. And now, they are building a bathroom for all the cruise ship people up on the hill above Las Brisas. Sadly, this is where the sun sets so you lose a part of that in addition to having to watch tourists come and go from the bathroom.
Las Brisas is great if you are looking for a house to rent for a week or two. The breezes are refreshing and the abundant sitting space is great for you spread out. Definitely consider Las Brisas if you are staying on Virgin Gorda -

If you are looking for beauty, peace and quiet, relaxation, yet excitement at your fingertips, this is the place for you!
Las Brisas is amazing. First, the views are spectacular. The multiple decks give you a panaramic view of both wonderful vegetation and the Caribbean sea. The gardens are carefully thought out and perfectly highlighted. The appointments are colorful, tropical, and fun both inside and out.
One of the other positives is the privacy factor. While close and convenient to several fun things, you pool and back deck area is completely enclosed and you can feel like you are in your own world.
But with this exclusivity also comes a wonderful "host" in the Guavaberry staff. They are like having a personal concierge service to help you navigate not just the the island but the whole set of islands in the area. We were met at the boat when we got there in the evening and were driven wherever we wanted whenever we wanted for our whole stay. And the store/commissary literally has everything you could want!
As I mentioned, the location is so convenient to fun! From the short walk to Mad Dogs bar, to a great restaurant an additional 50 feet away, you feel you have everything you want. But when you include the world famous Baths beach and snorkeling area 5 walking minutes and Guavaberry's private beach at a less than 10 minute walk, you have found unlimited fun.
But the home is so nice we found ourselves just staying there and relaxing! The pool was good size and always clean and the perfect temperature. The outdoor shower reminded me of a 5 star villa. And the kitchen had everything you could want, and if you could think of something else, the staff got it to you.
Just a slice of heaven!

Left on 09/24/2011 for a stay in July 2011
My husband and I booked a last minute week in Virgin Gorda. We thought about a beach rental closer to home. But, we found the prices so high...the Casita at Las Brisas was a wonderful value. It has everything for a couple...comfortable bed, outdoor stone shower, complete kitchen, amazing pool, cable tv, patio, views, garden, grill...perfect location. Wonderful bar/cafe: Mad Dog w/free WiFi, is literally a two minute walk up the road. Easy hike down to the Baths and spectacular deserted beaches. Casita is managed by Guavaberry Spring Bay, so there is access to the gorgeous beach at Spring Bay.Towels are provided, as are lounge chairs. Casita guests may also purchase groceries from the GSB canteen, which operates on the honor system, and has just about anything you need to eat or drink. The staff and management is on-site and quite accomodating. We loved it and can't wait to go back.

What can I possibly say that hasn't been said already? There's good reason that we'll be on our 7th stay in June 2011...we haven't found a place that can beat this one. It has all that we look for...beautifully maintained structure and grounds; privacy plus (hard to imagine how with its proximity to the roadway and Las Brisas main house but take my word, the lush surroundings envelop you); great location adjacent to The Baths National Park, the Mad Dog watering hole, 2 minutes to Spring Bay Beach and 5 minutes to Spanish Town; Private pool for when you just cannot stand the beach any longer; twin hammocks in the shade and even a nice ocean view to the southeast. The owners are commited to providing a place that you'll look forward to returning to and for that we thank them.

I've traveled all the continents save for antartica and yes... this little nest is my worldwide favorite. The beaches are untarnished and secluded, the snorkeling unparalleled, the people sublimely friendly, and it is...quiet. No festering neon distractions, simply a beautiful home on gorgeously maintained grounds and views that make you want to write epic poetry. And oh...just in case you want the worlds best Pina Colada, you are literally a one minute walk from the Mad Dog. Both the homes (Brisas/Casita) have their own pools that are very private. I've been twice. I will go again...and again. I cant say enough about these properties and I am truly not a person that throws superlatives around.

Left on 01/21/2011 for a stay in December 2009
We have been staying at Las Brisas since 2003. Our group includes my parents, two (now) grown daughters, my husband and me. Las Brisas and Casita and its unique "separate but one†design fits all of our various needs and desires beautifully. My parents take the "big house,†our daughters the freestanding bedroom unit, and my husband and I take over Casita - which is nearby but utterly private - thanks to great design and lush plantings.
Las Brisas is aptly named for the delightful tropical breezes which waft through house round the clock. The house is tastefully decorated in a local beach theme and the kitchen is well-equipped. There is an abundance of lovely outdoor common space as well as plenty of out-of-the-way spots should you want to escape with a book or take a snooze in a hammock. The bedrooms are private and all of the bathrooms offer fabulous enclosed outdoor showers that allow you that lovely "one with nature†experience.
We enjoy the close proximity to Mad Dog, a funky al fresco café for sandwiches and cocktails; the world-famous Baths for hiking; and Spring Bay, Guavaberry's exclusive beach, and certainly, one of the prettiest on earth. The owners continue to meticulously maintain the property. The property is expertly managed on a daily basis and comes with all of the comforts of daily room service, fresh flowers, beach towels and more.
The setting sun, rising moon and starry skies, along with the lushly planted grounds and wrap-around views of the sea and rock-strewn landscape will soothe your soul. You will go home refreshed and eager to return. And, we always do.

Las Brisas has it all privacy, breath taking views, beautiful pool, gardens, star gazing on the top deck, the Bath National Park and Devils Bay and then when you want to be social you have Mad Dog's and Top of the Baths!
I have spent a month at Las Brisas for the last 8 years and call it my home away from home when I'm there.
The house is well appointed for entertaining friends and is also peaceful for those of us that lead very hectic lives.
It is magic and continues to deliver year after year.
I will continue my sojourn and thank the owners for their attention to detail and the improvements they continue to make.

Las Brisas is one of the most beautiful villas on the Island of Virgin Gorda, BVI. We have vacationed at Las Brisas for the last 10 consecutive years. It offers true paradise. It is one of the reasons that we return to this island. The profusion of tropical flowers in the courtyard surrounding the pristine swimming pool offers serenity beyond description. The rooftop deck allows us to enjoy the sunsets and star gaze at night admiring Ryan's Belt. There are not too many places on any island where you can see both the Caribbean Sea and the atlantic Ocean at the same time, but the roof top offers it all. Hiking through the nearby Baths and snorkeling around them offers unique experiences. The hammocks allow for a good R & R and a great read. We appreciate the gourmet stocked kitchen and the comfort of this luxurious home. It is no wonder we keep coming back.

The views, layout and lush landscaping are just wonderful. The main house and separate guest house surround the pool and patio to provide a great living and entertainment setting. Professionally landscaped and very well maintained, the property sits on the ridge above the Baths... and right across the road from Mad Dog, a quaint shack serving up great local drinks and sandwich wraps. Excellent snorkeling, boulder/cave treks or just beach vegging can be had with a vigorous walk down to Devil's Bay or the Baths. A short drive or long walk gets you to Guavaberry's private beach at Spring Bay. A drive into Spanish Town provides shopping, dining or checking out the boats in the marina. I've stayed at Las Brisas 4 times over 10 years now and plan to keep going back.

We have stayed in both the main house and the Casita and enjoyed both tremendously. I love getting up walking the grounds in the morning with my coffee looking at the different varieties of tropical flowers, hummingbird nests, and other small wildlife while taking in the overall beauty of the secluded estate. Days are spent snorkeling at one of the nearby beaches, lunch down the path at Mad Dog, swimming in the private pool, and reading in one of the compfortable lounge chairs. Evening favorites are cocktails while watching the sunset from the rooftop deck. Las Brisas is one of a kind, and we intend to repeat our stay in the future.

We have stayed at Las Brisas and the Casita numerous times since 2001. We love the house, pools and relaxing atmosphere. We can read by the pool while enjoying our favorite drinks and walk across the road to Mad Dogs for a light lunch and Rum Runner. The Baths and the Top of the Baths stores and restaurant are all within walking distance and the Top of the Baths restaurant has an excellent breakfast. A short walk down the hill from Top Of The Baths you will find one of the most unique and beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. The grounds are beautiful with flowers blooming all the time and the grounds keepers maintain the property in excellent condition daily. We will absolutely be staying at Las Brisas and the Casita again during our future trips to Virgin Gorda.
