Barrie, ONMountain luxury at its best!
Left on 04/27/2013 for a stay in April 2013
My friends and I had a great stay here. Very spacious chalet that is very well equipped for the price. The home is located just a few kilometers from the village. One of the best views of the mountains we have experienced (the house is located right in front of one of the ski hills). As well, the service I had received was great. Never had a problem with James. One of the key things I had liked about this house versus other homes I normally stay at is every bed room was very spacious. Hence, everyone was very comfortable. The washrooms where also nice and clean as well spacious.
Over all, I would definitely book this home again when planning my next Blue Mountain vacation. I highly recommend this home to anyone with a family or it is also great for larger groups. -

TorontoPerfect place to spend time with a large group
Left on 11/15/2012 for a stay in November 2012
My fiancee and I rented 183 alta to have a reunion with 4 old friends from high school and their wives. All of the rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the layout of the large modern kitchen and the dining room made it easy for us to have large group meals together. If you are doing a lot of cooking (as we did, e.g. a chilli cookoff) I'd suggest bringing additional pots and knives especially - while well equipped, having only one chef's knife makes it a bit difficult. In addition, the rec room has good sound insulation to ensure that late night conversations and laughter didn't keep the whole house awake. James and Ryn were well organized and made the whole process very smooth. We will come back next year!

Great idea. We now have a full set of knives and will get additional pots to complement the existing KitchenAid set.

Toronto, OntarioAs advertised - luxurious, spacious, fully loaded and fun for al

Our group had a fantastic time this weekend at 183 alta. The neighbourhood is extremely up scale and you know once you drive in that you're going to be in a special area. The house is literally a stones throw away from the mountain which is pretty neat. Inside everything is as advertised. We were a group of 10 and it was extremely comfortable for us in regards to sleeping space and areas to hang out.
The kitchen is beautiful and complete with all the appliances and cooking equipment you'd need. The center island is also extremely useful and nice to have. Highlights are the fridge's ice-maker and also the double oven.
Dining area has a huge table enough for 10 and in this 20 ft ceiling space which we all loved.
Bedroom wise there is one at every single level so everyone is spaced out pretty well. Beds and linens are comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and extremely modern.
Living rooms and games room were great to spend most of our time indoors. We had tons of fun with the ping-pong table and were also able to hook up the PS3 to the TV.
The front porch was also great to lounge around in the afternoon. The house also came with a few lounge chairs that we were able to move to the front porch.
For both dinners we utilized the BBQ. Note that this is a charcoal grill so remember to bring your own charcoal. The grill itself probably needs to be replaced soon but we were able to make do.
Overall, great fun at this place for the weekend with easy access to all Collingwood and Wasaga activities. I would recommend to anyone! Can't beat out a 1.4 million dollar home! -

Waterdown, OntarioOctober Girls Weekend
Left on 10/04/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Alta Road was a fantastic location for our Girls Weekend. Plenty of room for everyone, large spacious rooms and bathrooms and a great kitchen/common area. There were 9 in our group and we all comfortably fit in the dining room/kitchen/living room all at the same time. The jetted spa tubs were fantastic as were the in-house esthetician services (manicures and pedicures). My only suggestion would be to drop a hot tub outside asap.

TorontoAmazing Chalet...Amazing Location ... Amazing Comfort!
Left on 08/19/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Somehow, the folks at 183 alta Rd. have managed to seamlessly marry all of the 5* amenities that you would expect from such a Chalet with the charm of a secluded cottage. The check in was smooth Ryn the property manager was there every step of the way when we needed anything. We loved the attention to detail that has been paid to the Chalet. From the fine linens in the bedrooms to the quiet office space, along with a game room to relax in, the list goes on. Everyone enjoyed the place tremendously, we ended up getting a total of 4 hours sleep over 2 nights trying to soak in all that the Chalet had to offer. We look forward to going on a second trip to experience Blue Mountain during the skiing season. If you are in the Blue Mountain area I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere else!

TorontoBeautiful property, great location and a wonderful experience!
Left on 08/03/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Our vacation this last weekend was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The property and its manager have spoiled in such a positive way that renting any another chalet at Blue Mountain would be impossible.
The location allowed for us to get into the village in less than ten minutes and travel to 2 nearby beaches in less than 5. We were even able to spend the day in Wasaga!
The actual chalet was extremely comfortable and clean. Perfect for a large family vacation or for a group of friends!
This positive experience has given us no choice but to make our trip an annual one!!
Thank you! -

BramptonA unforgettable Weekend!
Left on 07/07/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The home was beautiful. I felt as if I never left home. I loved how they were a lot of washrooms and bedrooms to choose from. The location wasn't too bad, if you like peace and quiet, then it's the idea place to be. What I didn't like about it was the sliding doors and that there was no washroom on the first floor. I liked everything else and enjoyed myself.
