Pineapple - Oceanside Two Bedroom 2 Story Villa with a Full Kitchen, 2 Private Ensuite Bathrooms + ½ bathroom off Living Room Area, Washer & Dryer, 1 king Bed in the master and 1 king bed or 2 twins in the 2nd bedroom, dinette table w/ 4 chairs, cable T.V., air conditioned, in-room safe, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, private ocean view patio with patio table & 4 chairs. Patio overlooks the beach and Elizabeth Bay.

Villa is located at Hideaways Palm Bay Beach Club approximately 7 miles from the Exuma International Airport (GGT), an approximate 15 minute drive southeast along Queens Highway.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM THE AIRPORT
•Exit GGT onto Airport Road
•Follow Airport Road until you reach the roundabout
•Turn right onto Queens Highway (East Town)
•Follow Queens Highway approximately 7 miles to Palm Bay Beach Club.
We are conveniently located just 1.5 miles from Georgetown, Exumas capital for shopping, restaurants, boat, car rental, etc.

Our family has travelled to Great Exuma island for the past 8 + yrs and we have always stayed at our own house. This year at the suggestion of friends, we stayed elsewhere and what a pleasant surprise. Usually when we arrive we need to spend a long night of cleaning; this was not the case at Palm Bay. Though the kitchen did not have all the "things" or ammenities of our house, the house was spotless, no stains on the furniture and the staff at Palm Bay were the best! Our unit was move in ready. After a very long day of travellling - what a relief. The bed linens were new, the towels plentiful, the baths free from hair from the previous travelers. The island is struggling to stay afloat. Palm Bay was a nice retreat; middle of road for everything. We had a car ( a must if you want to move about) though PB has a shuttle with limited availability and an ample supply of Taxis. We spoke with many of the other travellers and this was welcome. There a not alot of restaurants open; Palm Bay has its Splash Bar though it is very expensive. Hint: for kids Splash has pizza, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and Xbox!! Food is average and expensive but very convenient and the kids eat everything. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pools and use of kayaks. As with all islands in the Exumas, water is very shallow. The kids loved being able to kayak in the bay, build forts at low tide and walk on their favorite beach. Palm Bay offers free use of cell phone (you pay for minutes) which was so wonderful that friends could call anytime. Pm is not fancy; it is comfortable, clean and safe; all important characteristics on the island. Come here if you want to relax and enjoy the beautiful Bahamian people and beaches. If you need night life - you should go elsewhere.
