Ok with discount, but not if you are paying their listed rates

Left on 01/04/2013 for a stay in December 2012

Stayed in this home December 1 for 7 nights. Initially i thought the place was only 5km away from airport but it turned out to be 15-20minutes. Mapquest was wrong. you will need a car to get around. We ended up getting 3 vehicles before having one that work properly. House was very nice, had a wharfand was spotless. You can go for a swim off it and its not deep at all. No diving. If you go on their website you will notice that its not very good with pictures or giving description of amenities. I had to e-mail to find out if they had a hair dryer and iron. No hair dryer?!?! but iron was suppose to be there (which wasn't) this home is listed for $916 a night and no hair dryer. There was 3 couples so before reserving this one i was looking for king size beds and queen. It listed a king size in master, 2 twins in another room and 3rd room had queen. I asked to have the 2 twins made up to be a king, which they did. There is also another room off the kitchen with pull out bed so it would be appropriate for a child. The master bedroom did not have a king size bed it was queen. This really irritated me as i specifically looked for a king bed. I told them that they need to change this on their website because people need to know. As of today its still listed as a king. No one enjoyed sleeping on their mattress, very uncomfortable. Another thing that irked me was that there was only one TV in the home, in the livingroom. good thing we didn't have kids with us. you expect certain things in a home of that magnitude. There was wi-fi. Housekeeping comes m-w-f no one showed up on friday and the garbage was piled up high. They only have a small garbage can for the house. Our contract stated that we could use the kayaks, golf carts and hobie cats but when we asked and finally got an answer on thursday we were told that there was no such thing. I showed her the contract they had me sign. This is where the customer service went to hell. The manager, Randy was talking around the contract but he couldn't explain it away, it was there in black and white. then he had the nerve to say that we didn'tpay the listed price so we don't get the same things that just really ticked us off and now we wanted a monetary discount for not honoring the contract. He did get us 2 kayaks on Friday (we left sat. morning) but we were not happy for the brush off. We wanted to discuss this further and he just kept ignoring us. we would go backto the office and he was already gone for the day and when driving up the road we noticed his car going back to the office so we turned around and went back. He was there but told us that he did not have any time to deal with this he had someplace to be. I forgot to mention that Randy was the owner of February Point until recently but he's still the manager for the property. So all of this put a damper on our vacation towards the end. We let things be and enjoyed our last night. The next morning at the airport we ran into Randy again, he was also flying out. My husband demanded he speak to us and he did. He asked what we wanted either money or free week etc. gave us his card and we could contact him. We were looking for $300 credit. So we did e-mail him and the address did not work so we e-mail the general office and to date have not heard from dear Randy. So I can't see myself ever going back there. And you know, it wasn't even about getting money back but when Randy was so rude and just pushed us aside like we were of no value that's when we decided to persue it. As for Great Exuma, there is very little to do there except sight seeing the beaches which are very nice. Everything is closed on Sunday so if you need supplies you will not get them. Things also close down around 5-6pm. I wouldn't go back to Exuma, nothing there for us. Beer cost $45 for 24, all other beverages were reasonably priced. Restaurant food is about the same as home. There are little food huts (called the fish fry) where you can get things but not cheap either. Oh, and by the way don't fly Bahamasair they are totally disorganized, always late, planes breakdown and then they charter these scary looking planes that look like they are about to crash and only sit 10. They made me miss my cruiseship out of miami due to all their bs and that cost me an extra $2,000.
They drive on the left hand side of the road, thank god our friend was comfortable with that because there was no way i would've been able to do it at night.
