Loved the amount of space and the light in the upstairs common area. Kitchen was well equipped and functioned well.
Wasnt crazy about the mattresses. For the price we'd hoped for more comfort. Kind of hard and lumpy, causing backaches in even some of the kids (not just the elders).
Hot tub was OK, but would have been more inviting (given location and that it didnt have a view) if it had been landscaped or in some way made more attractive to hang out there.Response from Coasting Home - 04/04/2013

Thanks to constructive reviews the owners replaced all mattresses in the fall of 2012. Beds are comfy and the house is still a super choice especially for larger family or group.

Loved the Sea Ranch 12. It offered great spaces for gathering and sleeping quarters that were far enough away from the main part of the house as to not disrupt early/late sleepers. It was well appointed and had interesting and thoughtful decor. Loved the fact that it had a laundry system - we were traveling with children and it was very handy. Overall great experience. We will go there again!

We booked the home with holiday rates for spring break with thoughts of warm walks on the beach. The beach was much farther than we realized. You could see the ocean in the distance from the house but when we walked toward it, we realized we were unable to climb down, there was a cliff and no beach. There was a long walk to where there actually was a beach but it was so cold and windy that we only did it once and we were freezing. We wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting warm weather in March or walks on the beach.
The house itself was wonderful, it was well supplied and there was a nice family room and kitchen upstairs. The bedrooms were all downstairs. We thought the beds were very uncomfortable but we liked the design of the house.
