Madison, Wisconsin, United States5 star luxury - a trip of a lifetime!
Left on 02/06/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We travel extensively all over the world and pick a different island destination every winter. This was by far, one of the best vacations thus far. We stayed at ani Villas South and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. The Villas themselves are secluded on a cliffiside with breath-taking views of the ocean and the staff is top notch. They make you feel comfortable, well taken care of, and a part of their 'family'! From setting up a private beach lunch, to arranging massages in the privacy of your villa, they will anticipate your every need. Like I said, we like to pick a different island every winter, but we will certainly return to ani Villas! I wrote a blog about our vacation on wordpress with lots of pictures at osterhuh

Incredible! Great place for small groups, exec retreats or large families. Service: Ani surpassed my expectations, one of the best vacations of our life! From the drinks upon arrival (which flowed for the whole stay) to the staff, everyone was gracious and friendly and available without being intrusive. F&B;: Nando's pina colada-one of the best ever! The team ensured we had everything we needed including fresh-caught lobster for dinner one night. Villa: clean, modern. Comfortable beds. Beautifully appointed BRs and common areas. Every modern amenity. Pools are gorgeous. If you rent both villas, easy flow. If you rent one, enough privacy that you wouldn't be bothered by other guests unless they're really loud and staying outside late. 5th BR in each is "underground" with no view. Very nicely appointed, but best for kids/staff/nanny. Suggest no more than 8 rooms total for Vip-level guests. Events: You could easily host events on the lawn or the upper-level decks. A very nice small intimate wedding or cocktail reception would be perfect on the lawn overlooking the bay! Location: Beautiful view! We hiked to the bay below - take a guide and good walking shoes. The climb back up is rope-assisted. Roads (under construction when I was there) aren't great or well marked, but we had drivers to/from the airport. Once you're there, you can get around the island easily but I suggest chauffeured transportation. Beach: A short walk away (about 1/4 mile) at the end of the road was a public (very private) beach. Easy walk for our group, but if you have an older group or anyone for whom walking is difficult it won't be convenient. They were discussing getting golf carts at the house for this. Accessibility: one of the villas has an elevator to get to the higher floors and is accessible. Overall: I can't say enough about the villa, its beauty, and its staff. I hope to return again soon! It's expensive (which is why I rated value a little lower), but truly worth every penny!

Atlantic Highlands, New JerseyIf you want pampered and relaxed this is the place to go!
Left on 09/06/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Ani Villas exceeded our expectation in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel pampered and relaxed! The staff (who always had a smile) asked about our individual needs and in an unassuming way took care of fulfilling those needs. On the days when we took excursions they had our towels, a cooler, and our snorkel equipment ready and loaded it in the car. The Villa is absolutely spectacular, beautifully decorated, clean, large and inviting. The landscaping on the property is beautiful. There are several areas to gather and relax outside (hot tub overlooking the bay). There was plenty of room for our two teenage kids to roam about the house and have independence. They loved the tennis courts, pool, gym, bicycles and the game room! As a family, we loved walking down the path (close to the house) to the sea and beach. Here we snorkeled, swam and layed on the beach. There is a cool cliff to jump off which my kids loved. To top it off, the food at the Villa was great. Our morning chef, happily sang as he prepared us a hearty breakfast. Lunch and dinner were amazing. One meal was better than the next. A few favorites were the pumpkin soup, prawns, rack of lamb (my son ate 16), and the local fish. Sitting outside with family and friends, a warm breeze blowing, candles lit, a spectacular view and a delicious meal is priceless! We did some fun excursions (day trip to St. Maarten, explored local beaches, and went to Sandy Island by boat). I would recommend them all. We did visit a few local restaurants and they too were great. We never had a bad meal in anguilla. At night, my husband and I went to a local bar to listen to music and for some dancing. We met locals and many tourists as well. We did not want to leave and we certainly plan on a return trip!

The ani Villa exceeded our expectations in every way. It is very spacious, yet guests can find privacy when desired. There is a 180° ocean view, as the villa is literally on a cliff overlooking a beautiful secluded bay. There is a fabulous pool, tennis courts, game room, and workout facility on site. Two beaches are within a modest walking distance via a trial or road that winds down to the ocean.
Anguilla is a very hospitable island and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The ani staff was attentive and friendly. Services included daily housekeeping, security, and a chef. The food was wonderful. -

Everything about ani Villas is absolutely amazing. From the tennis court when you enter, the clean and well laid out gym, the game rooms and the panoramic view from the top that is the ideal spot for sundowners and meteor showers of which we were lucky enough to enjoy during our stay.
The houses are so tastefully decorated and our villa had the most incredible dining room table that must weigh over one ton. The rooms are all spacious and all have a flat screen TV. The lighting is incredible and the villas just have this warm feeling about them
The cliff view is breathtaking and when you look ever the edge of the cliff you see turtle swimming in the beautiful blue Caribbean water. I found myself beckoned back to the cliff edge several times a day to check out the sail boats visiting little bay. I was very impressed that the you can walk barefoot on the tiles even in the mid day heat and they are nice and cool
In my opinion Little Bay is the most special place on the Island. There is a goat path that you can use to walk down the sandy beach and go snorkeling in the bay. I swam with five foot long Tarpon that come with in a yard of you to take a look, and a huge variety of smaller colorful fish and marine life. Of all the fun things that we did in anguilla in our week on the Island I enjoyed being with friends in those amazing villas more than anything else. We will all most certainly be going back. Worth every penny. -

The entire "Ani Villas" experience was positive. From being met at the airport, the first impression of the villa was wow. Bright, clean, sleek, contemporary, comfortable, relaxing. The views from the house were breathtaking! I loved the floorplan of the villa. There was plenty of common space, but lot's of little indoor and outdoor private areas to get comfortable and read a book or have a nap. My bedroom had a beautiful terrace overlooking the water. The staff were always there, but almost invisable, never intrusive. The day trips were spectacular. Boating, snorkeling, beaches, little hide a way islands with incredable food in funky little restaurants. The villa chef was amazing! Suggesting menu ideas and executing those menus as though we were in a four star restaurant .It was the finest private rental house I've ever been to. I can't wait to go back.

Phoenix, ArizonaOur stay at ani Villa's was the best we have experianced in angu
Left on 01/16/2011 for a stay in December 2010
This holiday season we took our third trip to anguilla. We love this island. This time we decided to stay in the newly completed ani Villas at Little Bay. As you can imagine the views from the villa were unbelievable and the villas were amazing. Even though there were 8 adults and 7 kids I always managed to find a quite place to enjoy the views and get away from it all. At first I was apprehensive since it wasnât right on the beach but upon arrival I discovered that there was âsecretâ path that took you to one of the most exclusive beaches on the island, Little Bay. It was amazing! Then we discovered on day 2 if you exited from the front of the Villa there was yet another beach less then 5 minutes walk. My husband and I spent the day there and I felt like we were on a deserted island as we had it all to ourselves in the peak of tourist season. I cannot remember the name of the beach and if I did I am not sure I would want to share so I could keep it all to myself for next time.
On day 3 the parents were not feeling very motivated to anything but lie around the wonderful pool and watch the incredible yachts and sailboats cruise in and out of Little Bay. Our host/property manager sensed the parentâs lethargy and decided to take the kids (9-18) on a nature walk around the Villas and into the Valley. When the kids returned they couldnât wait to share their adventure. Even the 18 year old was enthusiastically sharing what he learned about the local plants and traditions.
I could go on and on but I am sure no one wants to hear my day to day vacation diary. Just to summarize this was followed by an incredible bike ride over a point of the island that was not accessible by car with incredible photo opportunities including a wave blow hole that shot waves over 6 feet high. On New Years Eve we were surprised to have Fire Works fired from our own back yard along with view of the fireworks shot from Cap Ca Luca. Then to finish up our New Yearâs celebration we were treated to a traditional anguilla Breakfast prepare by Shamash from Zaraâs restaurant. This included Salted fish, some kind of kale salad, Johnny cakes and many other local dishes. Of course they also provided Pancakes, bacon and eggs for the less adventuresome in our group.
By far our best trip to anguilla yet. Gorgeous Villa, 360 views, access to the best beaches on the island but best of all, a staff which not only met all our needs but also anticipate those we did not know we even had.
