This pretty little cottage is full of character and charm and able to sleep four people across one double bedroom and a comfortable sofa-bed in the living room. As one of four cottages that were formed during a high quality barn conversion, this lovely little property is full of character and charm with high beamed ceilings, a cosy living area with wood-burning stove and a bespoke kitchen. This property is best suited to a couple on a romantic break, two couples travelling together or a small family.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Set in a lovely location with plenty of places to visit nearby. The welcome you get is second to none, It feels special the moment you walk through the door and the cottage is absolutely packed with everything you need for a self-catering holiday and more. Such detail has been put into the welcome packs and thought into the holiday cottage itself. You really are looked after. Very professional, very clean,very high standard. I would return in a heartbeat.

I was so impressed with this cottage. I phoned in advance of my arrival as required and was told where the key would be left. The owner then arrived to check that I had everything I needed.
The standards in the cottage are extremely high with a fantastic welcome basket. You hardly need to take anything with you as virtually everything is provided. There was milk, butter and a small bottle of champagne in the fridge, biscuits, jams, bread, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, even a 'Sos' box in case you've forgotten toothpaste or the like. This was to be used on an 'honesty box' basis, as were the disposable barbecues and wood for the burner.

Fawkes cottage is a gorgeous cottage, decorated and furnished to a great standard with amazing attention to detail which makes a stay there perfect. We were greeted with a fabulous welcome basket of goodies which included a fresh loaf of bread and an easter egg (as we were there for easter!), along with milk, butter and a bottle of champagne in the fridge. And there were maps and leaflets galore so that we could plan our week of exploring from the comfort of the sofa on the first night! The owner was also easily on hand for our queries. We highly recommend a stay in Fawkes Cottage!
