a very relaxing stay
although we only stayed for one night we had wished it had been for longer. we had driven through the sequoia national park earlier in the day and the roads had been fairly challenging. so it was great to be met by such an amazingly relaxing setting. the property is based right by the side of the river. we received a warm greeting on arrival and soon got to know the friendly cats too. in the evening, a fire pit was lit and even though it was october we sat out into late evening with a glass or two of pinot noir.
This is the most wonderful, idyllic jewel of a place. We stayed for 3 nights and were really sorry to leave. We were visiting Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon but quite honestly it was hard to leave this beautiful place beside the river to go out for the day. The owner Mars was a wonderful host, nothing was too much bother and she was always there for help or advice. A wonderful log fire was set for us each evening so we could just sit outside beside the river with a glass of wine.
The accomodation itself was absolutely lovely, even the loo had a view, that must be a first.
We would recommend this lovely place to anyone wishing to visit the beautiful National Park.
