Dog friendy cottage with a faint doggy ordour around sofa area, might have been sheep skin rug in front of the log burner. Otherwise a really nice cottage for two plus one puppy. Kitchen area lovely and clean looking on the garden and back of pub.
Too cold and damp to enjoy the garden during our visit but sure its would be nice during summer.
The open plan design means all heat goes upstairs so bedroom was toasty warm.
The pub has some really nice meals and i am sure they would delivery to the door if asked.
Would go again

Left on 08/01/2013 for a stay in May 2013 | HONEYMOONERS
Stayed here on the 3rd may for one week. on arrival we were promised as it was our honeymoon bottle of wine not Recieved!! Were given keys the person showing us round ( later realized it was bar staff) didnt even know our names or how long we were staying at the property. We did mention it was our honeymoon with the reply "oh ok " No info on where to eat or any walks , attractions ect . We found all that in the Inn next door which is very clever as you then feel obliged to eat and drink there menu, food and drinks very good but was very expensive. Only information in the cottage was the breakfast and main menu for the Inn next door. The accomodation was clean . No freezer so couldnt even do a proper shop for the week or have ice in our drinks which would have been lovely for our cozy nights in by the fire. Also had to pop next door to the Inn to borrow a potato masher. The garden is not private woke up quite a few mornings with someone passing through the garden and i think it was a domestic member of staff letting her dog use the grass as a toilet so if its privacy you want think again. The cottage is beautiful but much room for improvement when it comes to staff and self catering equipment provided. This property is ideal if you want to eat out every night and dont want any privacy . We prefer privacy and been able to shop at supermarket and butchers and stock up for the week .
one very cosy cottage for two - not to be missed

You couldn't ask for more in this fabulous little cottage.Even though it's a hop skip and a jump from the pub you can still hideaway if you want to. Fabulous base for walking if the weather is kind(it wasn't for us unfortunately!)We arrived on a very cold and wintry day but we received a very warm welcome from the staff.Massive choice of food in the pub - but the kitchen in the cottage is great if you want to do your own(we even baked bread!)Short drives to a variety of different places/interests.All in all a very happy holiday.
Really snug when snow was falling all around!

This is a great place to stay. I was on my own with my two Golden Retriever dogs and we all had a brilliant time. Lovely multi-fuel burning stove and great facilities. Bathroom a little cold, as no heating in there. Brilliant spot to go walking from, which we did because we couldn't drive anywhere due to the snow at Easter. Lovely food all day at the pub and really friendly staff and locals. Will definitely return one day.
Had great weekend, cottage lovely

Great service picked keys up from pub next door ,very friendly ,shown us around cottage. The cottage it's self was lovely, clean, everything you could wish for, added bonus was dog friendly so our little dog Maisie came and was made welcome in pub next door that served wonderful food at a very reasonable price, everything was great loved the way it had been totally refurbished, and the bedroom overlooking the living area. Located in countryside but short drive to nearby villages. Loved everything about the cottage except think the dog could sense the resident ghosts !!

We had a lovely time here. The cottage was gorgeous. The location close to Grassington and the dales was fabulous. The pub next door had a great atmosphere and served delicious food. Only downside was cottage was just a little too close to the pub and felt overlooked. Overall though I would recommend a stay and would visit again.
