We recently rented this beautiful log home because we wanted to spend some quality time with family while we were visiting. From the moment I first contacted the owners, the experience was a success! Bev (one of the owners) was wonderful to work with and it was very obvious that it was important to them that their guests have a great experience while at their vacation home. The home and sauna was obviously a labor of love and you can see and feel it in all the details of the property. We spent hours perusing the family albums that captured the construction from the first day to the end. They have all the comforts of home available to you with the bonus of being right on the lake. Since my family is all of Finnish decent, we truly enjoyed their traditional Finnish sauna and jumping in the lake!
My mom has alzheimer’s and this spot gave us the perfect venue to give my dad a reprieve from the everyday tasks of being a caregiver. Even though the fish were not biting much because of the hot weather, just the calm of being on and by the water was soothing to everyone's soul. Taking the canoe out was very enjoyable as well.
Our last day was filled with some wild thunder storms, but everyone enjoyed watching nature in its full glory! We would jump at the chance to rent this vacation home again if we get the opportunity.
