Elmbank, a lower Victorian conversion is situated just yards from the sea with views over the Kyles of Bute and is ideally situated for exploring the Cowal Peninsula. Tighnabruaich has a selection of pubs, shops and a bistro. Dunoon is 40 mins away. Activities include marked walks, cycling, sailing, sea fishing, windsurfing, speed boat tours, quad bikes and clay shooting. During the summmer months take a cruise on the Waverley, that last seagoing paddle steamer in the world. Explore the lochs and hills of the Cowal Peninsula. Shops, pubs and restaurants 500 yards.

Family stayed at Elmbank summer 2009 whilst son attended sailing school.
This summer elderly aunt rented. The property is ideally suited as it is all on the ground floor with only a few steps to the kitchen.
Elmbank's location makes it an excellent base for days out. -

We stayed at Elmbank for the weekend in May last year. The views from the house were stunning and our weather was perfect. The house is fully equipped with everything you need and has all the home comforts. We were able to relax in the spacious garden and have a BBQ.We hope to go back again for another relaxing break.

My husband and I stayed here for a one week Spring break. The accommodation is very spacious with lovely high ceilings and ample room. I particulalry enjoyed the comfortable kitchen area and cooking on the Raeburn stove. Best of all though is the fantastic seaview - we sat in fornt of the window for hours on end. The village itself is very quaint with coffee shops, a pub and a restaurant. We also enjoyed the local 9 hole golf club which has stunning views out over the Kyles of Bute. We found this to be a very peaceful place to stay and hope to go back soon.
